Apartment in Cala Marcal, Porto Colom, Mallorca, Balearic Islands - Close to Beach, Lovely Pool in Complex

This newly finished, ground floor apartment is ideally suited for families with children as there is a lovely garden area and space to play. The swimming pool is situated close by and there is a large area for parking within the complex. A large veranda with patio furniture spills out onto the garden. The apartment is within short walking distance of Cala Marcal Beach. Lots of restaurants close by. For golfers the Val D'or golf course is a mere 4km away. Palma airport is approximately 62km away, about 1 hours drive. Porto Colom is a picturesque fishing village with a lovely marina and large number of outstanding pubs and restaurants. The area has a lot to offer and guests will find a wealth of different things to see and do such as visiting local markets, numerous underground caves in the area, chilling on the beach, the monastery at San Salvador etc. If its a relaxing carefree holiday that you need, this is the place to be!

Hi Brenda,

Just wanted to drop you a note following our stay in Cala Marsal.

We had a wonderful time and the apartment exceeded our expectations in every way. The accommodation was really lovely, and extremely well equipt. I would especially recommend the apartment to those with small children as everything we needed was provided and the garden was a great space in the shade for them to play during the afternoon. The pool area was also superb - we often had the space to ourselves for the majority of the day and the children's pool was great for our toddlers to splash about in.

We will definitely be making a return booking for next year!

Beautiful beach apartment

A beautiful apartment located within a few minutes walking distance to the beach! Close to small local restaurants and stunning beaches. The apartment was perfect, with all necessary appliances. Also included a small garden which is ideal for kids. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wishes to visit Mallorca :)

Lovely apartment

This is the best apartment we have ever stayed in abroad, spotless, spacious and great location. Our girls (9 and 11) were constantly in the pool which was rarely busy and the garden area led straight down to the pool area which was great. 5 mins walk to the beach and some lovely walks along the coast. I was worried about not having air con but the shutters and ceiling fans were very effective and kept the apartment cool all day and night.

Lovely, relaxing holiday!

We stayed for a fortnight in Cala Marcal. The apartment was clean, spacious and well equipped. The private garden was a lovely place to relax in, with access to both sun and shade. The pool area was clean and quiet and the availability of sunbeds owned by the apartment ensured that we always had somewhere comfortable to sit. It was a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach, and on the walk back, we could pick up lunch at the local Spar shop. We tried out a number of nearby restaurants in the evening, all of which were very good. All in all, a very enjoyable break!

When looking for an area on Mallorca in which to buy property we all felt that the Porto Colom/Cala Marcal district was one that had it all. You seem to achieve the harmony between quiet fishing village, stunning beaches and yet still manage to pick up a fantastic vibe in the local and village. The apartment is also in a "green belt" area which gives one a feel of being out in the country yet you are close to everything and are able to walk to the beach and local supermarket and restaurant. It's located within easy reach of superb golf courses and all in all the area has so much to offer the tourist whether you're in the mood for getting in touch with nature by going for a long walk or simply having a "chill out" on the beach.

Cala Marcal beach is within walking distance. A beautiful bay with clean, still waters. A beach bar is situated on the beach for drinks and light snacks. Lots of restaurants close to the beach. Numerous other beaches and bays to visit in the area, each one has it's own special beauty.

Loads of fabulous restaurants and bars close to the apartment where one can test out the tasty local fare. Several local supermarkets such as Spar are to be found.


Palma airport 62km away (1 hours drive). Car hire recommended as the island has so much to offer in the way of sightseeing. If you intend staying local and relaxing on the beach at Cala Marsal a car is not necesssary, but if you're adventurous and want to see all that Mallorca is made up of a car is a must!


Porto Colom village and marina 15 min walk away.

Further Details:

The apartment is well situated to most places that one needs whilst on holiday eg supermarkets, banks, laundromats etc. Those that are not within walking distance are a short drive away.


An absolute must are the Cuevos de Drak. Fabulous underground caves.

A visit to the monastery at Luc

Train trip through the mountains to Soller

Boat trip or drive to Sa Colabra

At least one day in the old city in Palma

Visits to various beaches

The location of the apartment is great for the average tourist because it's a really easy walk to the beach. Also within the complex grounds is a lovely swimming pool area both with a large pool for adults and smaller pool for children.
