This luxury apartment faces the neighbourhood with sunny southwest balcony. The apartment has been beautifully furnished including flatscreen TV with a satellite box which you can receive plenty of english channels. There is a hydro Jacuzzi bath, large sitting room with balcony and BBQ. All the beds have quality mattresses ensuring a comfortable nights sleep. Located next to the old town of Lagos with 3 major supermarkets a 2 minute stroll down the street. The marina is also a 5 mins walk, great spot to watch the boats while enjoying an ice cream or to catch up on any live sport in the bars. The marina has cafes, bars, restaurants, pizza hut, boutiques and perfume shops. There is plenty to keep you entertained, guided walks, safari, join a sailing trip and head out to see the dolphins, surf camp for the energetic or simply grab your book and catch some sunshine by the pool or stroll to one of the local beaches. Myself, my wife and son loved the apartment. We all agreed it was the nicest apartment we have stayed in. Very clean, and well fitted - it had everything we needed. Its location is perfect, only a short walk from town, the Marina and Meia Praia. The pool was also lovely and very clean. It was our first visit to Lagos and we'll definitely be back and definitely be staying there again. A great place for families. Thanks for the use of your lovely apartment.

Special interest holidays:

Walking tours, wine tasting, bike rides, paragliding, traditional basket weaving courses, pottery making. There is an endless list of things to do here in Lagos town. There is a cultural centre which holds free live jazz nights and special cultural evenings from tasty chorizo (Portuguese sausage) nights to art exhibitions.


The closest beach is Batata (potatoes!) beach, a short stroll down the Avenue on the riverside at the end you will find a historical fort with drawbridge and next to it is Batata beach and the old Portuguese sailing school where youngsters (and grown ups) can try out dinghy sailing, canoeing or a refreshing swim with a snorkel. The beach at Meia Praia is across the foot bridge into the marina, a 4km white sandy stretch of beach perfect for flying kites, wakeboarding or join a game of volleyball.


Faro airport 50 minute drive. Please call/text once you leave Faro en route to Lagos our representative will meet you with keys.Lagos train station is next to the marina, a ticket Lagos to Faro for less than 6eur or perhaps a trip to Silves with it's Cafe Ingles on Sunday afternoon, relax in the shade under a palm tree and listen to the wonderful jazz. The bus station is a short stroll 4 mins from the apartment, great farmers market here every Saturday with hens, rabbits and local fare for sale.


Lagos is one of the last towns before Cape st. Vincent where the discoveries set sail to discover the America's. There are plenty of wonderful, stunning secret hideaway beach coves as you travel west. Take the road to Sagres (30mins drive), turn off at Raposeira to Ingrina beach, it's like a slice of the west coast of Ireland but in the sun! All info and directions are provided by our local representative. Head inland to Monchique 25mins drive to taste the local Portuguese sausage and medronho.

Further Details:

Casinha do Petisco - A great Portuguese Restaurant offering traditional dishes at great prices and always delicious. It is small and very popular with the locals as well as any visitors who are lucky enough to come across it. Try their fried prawns, lamb chops, beef stroganoff. The stroganoff dish is plenty for two comes with chips, rice and salad. You will definitley return to this restaurant. The easiest way is to find Whyte's bar and the restaurant is next to it on Rua da Oliveira. Book it early to avoid disappointment.

Adega da Marina - A favourite. It's a converted warehouse and seats hundreds of people, huge portions of charcoal-grilled meat and fish and very affordable jugs of house wine. this restaurant is easy to find on the Avenida dos Descobrimentos.

A Forja - Affectionately referred to as the Blue Door. This is an extremely popular restaurant with locals and visitors alike. When it comes to value for money this place is hard to beat. There is an excellent fresh fish menu along with traditional dishes and look out for those large portions and homemade fries! It is a very clean and bright restaurant popular with large parties, families and couples alike. The staff are friendly and polite, do ask them about the specials of the day. Be prepared to go early or have to queue for a table in high season, it is well worth the wait it's on Rua Ferreiros.

For Pizza try Italia - this stylish restaurant with impeccably dressed waiters add to the feel of a special night out. Do take time to study the starter menu whether it is just for the covert or a platter from their buffet bar with an assortment of salads and cold fish, delicious. They have an extensive pasta, pizza and risotto menu. There is an outside seated area looking onto Rua Garrett right between the two main squares.

The Marina is full of bars and restaurants. Amouras bar stays open until 4am. Most kitchens close by 22:30 however Adega da Marina is 02:00am.

Booking Notes:
A 20% non refundable deposit to secure booking and remainder due 6 weeks prior to arrival. €150 refundable security/damage deposit required at time of booking. Any costs to specially clean, repair or replace items caused by damage that is beyond what we consider normal wear and tear will be deducted from the security deposit. Lost keys will need to be replaced and cost deducted from security deposit. Two sets of keys are supplied for your convenience.

Changeover Day:
The apartment will be available from 3pm on day of arrival and should be vacated by 10am on day of departure. Any reasonable variations on these timings where other booking commitments allow will be accommodated.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Please request at booking stage if you wish to pay in euros or dollars. Note: Easter, Christmas and New Year rates same as September. Long term lets possible please contact for the pricing.

A 20% non refundable booking deposit is due when booking the apartment and the balance is paid 6 weeks before arrival.

  • Notes on accommodation: Excellent facilities for a family, elevator from underground car park to the front door of the apartment. Ideal for golfers with large storage room off kitchen for bulky golf bags. Child cot and highchair provided. Please request a child's cot before arrival. Remote control A/C to either heat up or cool down the apartment, electric shutters throughout, mosaic ceramic flooring, BBQ on the sunny terrace with outdoor dining table and chairs. Travel insurance is guests responsibility and we are not liable for injury or damage to personal belongings during the rental period. Towel and linen change at end of 1st week is included for a 2 week rental. Midweek towel and linen changes and clean can be arranged at extra cost. Please bring your own beach towels as they are not provided. Bright spacious hallway with video entry system, a locked up cupboard for the cleaning lady, double glass doors to the lounge, bathroom off the hallway. Travel cot & highchair available. Outside: The building is in a lovely part of town with lots of traditional Portuguese restaurants and cafes close by. The shared swimming pool has plenty of space around it to lounge by the pool on a sunlounger and bring your refreshing drinks and snacks from the cafe Fresco across the street. The children's play area is enclosed with a gated entrance.There is easy entrance through the underground car park to the pool. There are toilets, shower and gym under the pool area. Utility Room: Large storage room off the kitchen with fridge/freezer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linens are changed on a 2 week stay and it's after the first week. Please note the new entry system to the pool area. Each apartment recieves two fobs to gain access to pool area, a €100 deposit collected on your arrival & returned on departure
