Apartment in Burriana, Nerja, Costa del Sol, Spain - On Exclusive Small Complex, 5 Minutes Walk To Beach

Condesa Xenia is one of 15 architecturally designed homes in Moorish style clustered around a small hilltop. The complex is security gated and the apartment is approached via three short flights of steps or a lift and one short flight of steps down. The apartment is on one level and has exclusive direct access to the pool and garden via small stone steps making it ideal for keeping an eye on children while you sit on the terrace (south and west facing). The apartment is marble floored and has been decorated in typical Spanish style throughout. There is an airy and cool feel to the place. It sleeps up to six. The apartment has two bedrooms, (north facing) one with a double bed and full en-suite bathroom. The other has twin beds with a shower and toilet opposite. Flexible sleeping arrangements with two travel cots and small 'put-u-up' and sofa bed. One high chair.

About Jacqueline

We are a family from Midhurst in West Sussex. My husband and I bought this property in 2001 after my daughter had a school trip to Nerja and loved it so much. We have had such fun here over the years. The apartment is mainly occupied by our family or friends but we do rent it out too.

Apart from sunbathing by the pool and down on the beach at Burriana we also like to explore the wilder beaches further along the coast and I also love hiking in the mountains or walking up the river with a picnic.

My father used to come out with me until his 90th year and now my grandsons age two have had their first trip to the apartment this May and it is lovely to think that this next generation will enjoy Nerja as much as we have. There is something for all ages to enjoy here.

Why Jacqueline chose Axarquia (Costa del Sol)

We love this property because it is so close to the beach and that we are on the same level as the pool so we can just go straight in from the terrace. Also we have a lovely open view from the terrace across the ravine to the properties on the other hill. The apartment itself is light and airy and has a comfortable lived in feeling to it.

We love the area of Nerja - unlike many towns along the Costa del Sol it has not been ruined with rows of high rise buildings. The old town is a delight to wander around and the Balcon de Europa ( a wide promenade jutting out to the sea) is buzzing with activity especially in the evenings. There are so many beach restaurants and cocktail bars both in Burriana and in the old town ( which takes about 15/20 minutes to walk to).

What makes this apartment unique

Close to the beach yet up and away from the bars and restaurants.

Pool on same level (accessed by a few steps) this means that you can sit on the apartment terrace and watch your children in the garden and pool.

The apartment is in a fantastic location, only a short walk to the beach. Really spacious apartment which has everything you need. Good access to the pool which was clean and some days felt we had the pool to ourselves. We all had a great family holiday!

Booking Notes:
£150 per week non refundable deposit required on booking (£200 in August). Balance plus £50 refundable security deposit to cover breakages, loss of equipment and excess cleaning due 4 weeks prior to holiday.

Changeover Day:
We are flexible on arrival and departure days. Access on arrival at apartment is from 2pm onwards and on departure guests are asked to vacate by 10am but we will try to be flexible where there is not a follow on booking.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
There is a 10% discount available for returning clients.

A deposit of £150 on booking, £200 in August. The balance to be paid one month before you go, plus the £50 returnable key/ extra clean deposit.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 30 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 60 days before check-in date.
