Villa in Pont Royal Golf, Mallemort, Provence, France - Peaceful and Convenient in Gated Golf Development adjacent to Pierre et Vacances Village

A superb villa with private pool overlooking the magnificent Luberon. Also a delightful pool house with seating, an open fire/BBQ and shower room attached, perfect for shade from the midday sun and glorious to relax in the evening around the pool. The large garden offers many sunny and shaded areas to relax and socialise throughout the day. The ground floor Master bedroom with ensuite bathroom overlooks the pool. On the first floor is bedroom 2 with an ensuite shower room and bedrooms 3 and 4 share the family bathroom. Inside the Villa is light, airy and spacious with an interconnecting door from the kitchen/ breakfast area to the open plan living/dining room which boasts a beamed double height vaulted ceiling and steps down to the games and reading area. The front garden is planted with Olive trees and Lavender bushes and offers off street parking for 1 large car. The surrounding area has something to offer most times of the year from the local markets, festivals, sunflower or lavender fields, vineyards to Golf, cycling or just relaxing in the sun,conveniently situated 20 mins from Aix en Provence and Avignon. The Villa commands a large private setting in the prestigious Pont Royal Du Golf, offering tennis, golf, horse riding, Wave Pool, activities, restaurants and kids clubs (extra charge/subject to availability)on site. A 5min walk around a boating Lake brings you to the village centre, constructed around a Piazza of restaurants and shops offering fresh provisions through to Provincial gifts. A weekly market and evening activities is usual in high season. The adjacent village of Mallemort,a short drive away, offers further shopping and restaurants.The nearest Beach is approx 40min drive. Excellent Skiing can be found within a 2 hour drive. A car is essential to explore the wonderful surrounding areas of lavender fields, vineyards, sunflowers and architectural/historical interest. The beaches of Cote D'Azur are within 90mins drive. Choose from Marseille, Nimes or Nice Airport.

Well-equiped, large and great support from owners local agent; lovely pool

Easy access from Marseille airport about 40 mins drive away; plenty of amenities on site (restaurants, shops, pools, tennis), great golf facilities; house is large, very clean and extremely well-equipped with all the facilities a big family or group requires; very much a home from home; the pool is a good size and our children spent hours in it; they also loved the shady pool room and bbq area, and the adjacent boules area; lots of books and games available, and a good stock of dvds plus uk television channels; the owners local agent was extremely helpful and always accessible via phone (we put a ding in a hire car, for example, and received good advice about how to deal with it, and an offer of translation support if required; when the parasol broke, it was immediately replaced); linen was changed mid-stay, and the pool cleaned several times; the house has a lovely aspect and receives sun all day, which didn't appear to be the case for others nearby; it also has plenty of shade if required; the house is a short walk from the central village square area and lake; we had a runner in our party who enjoyed the routes around the beautifully landscaped if hilly wider Pont Royal country club area, and there is a very good Intermarche supermarket an easy short drive away; the garden area is overlooked from a distance by the balconies of a tastefully-developed three-or-four story run of flats opposite, far enough off to not notice after a few days, but still very present - for the price we would have expected a bit more privacy, hence four rather than five stars. Other than this, our family of four children and two adults had a wonderful time and would return; highly recommended.

Villa - Pont Royal du Golf

We'd been to Pont Royal du Golf several times when our kids were younger (now all 19+) and this year, rented a private villa with pool. The villa was beautifully presented and equipped - with lots of little things that make your stay more enjoyable - lots of glasses, crockery, poolside glasses, BBQ, poolhouse with WC & shower. Its really spacious, which is great for 6 adults sharing. There's books and games available also UK Sky TV. Its situated on a quiet street which is a 5 min walk to the centre of the village. We'd definitely recommend this villa to others and hope to return! Dunlop Family, Glasgow, Scotland

Beautiful Property in a lovely setting!

We had a brilliant stay in this beautiful house! The private pool was a highlight for everyone as well as the close proximity to amazing restaurants and entertainment. We cannot wait to come back next year! I would recommend this house to anyone!

The location of this villa has everything for us, if you want to stay in and relax by the pool and cook in the evening it is perfect for entertaining day and night and if you fancy a local restaurant you don't have to drive. If the kids want some independence and activities its all there on site (at an extra charge) and a renowned golf course for the golfing enthusiast. If you like exploring the local area you are ideally placed within a short drive to the magnificent cities of Aix en Provence, Avignon and Marseille or the beautiful villages of L'Isle Sur la Sorgue, St Remy de Provence, Fontaine de Vaucluse, Chateauneuf du pape. The stunning Camargue region is less than an hour away with nature reserves, horse riding, bull fights, rice fields, salt mines and beaches. If that isn't enough the people watching of St Tropez or snow skiing in Gap is all less than 2 hours away.

Cassis is a 45 min drive with a Pebble beach,Marina, cafes and restaurants line the village sea front. Various beaches and coves lie secluded along that coast line some are sandy.

A 45 min drive through the amazing wetlands of the Camargue (a detour through the Nature reserve is recommended) will show you the Camargue Horses, Pink Flamingos and Much more arriving at St Maries de la Mere offering sand and shingle beaches and many more activities or just sit at one of the many cafes and enjoy.


By Car; A7 motorway, exit at junction 26 Senas, 8km on N7 towards Aix en Provence. By Air; Marseille approx 25 Mins Drive. Nimes approx 40 mins Drive. By Train; TGV stations at Avignon and Aix en Provence, Approx 20 Mins Drive. Car Hire Recommended to enable you to enjoy and experience all the area has to offer.

A Welcome Pack of essential supplies awaits your arrival. The Property will be fully cleaned, beds prepared, clean towels set out for your arrival. On stays of 2 weeks or more bedlinen/towels will be changed weekly. An English/French Speaking Property Manager is available throughout your stay. Pool and garden maintenance is included.

Changeover Day:
Sunday changeover. Low season maybe able to be flexible. Arrival 5pm and departure 10am.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in euros, for the maximum named/ booked guests only no other guests may stay. Non refundable Reservation deposit 30%. Refundable damage deposit 1000 euros. Minimum stay 1 week.

A non refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure a booking with the balance due at least 8 weeks before arrival. A refundable security/damage deposit of 1000 euros is due at least 2 weeks before arrival. Payments are transferred in euros to a bank account. The security/damage deposit can be sent by cheque to my UK address to be returned upon a satisfactory checkout report.

From the Owner

We bought the villa as a shell and created the outside space to work for any age group at any time of the day or night or time of year for that matter. The wonderful pool house is a unique but practical addition, it offers delightful shade from the sun if required, a convenient place to shower before going in from the pool or to pop to the loo while sunbathing. In the evenings you can BBQ around the pool or on a cooler evening relax with the fire roaring and a lovely glass of wine, very romantic. The Pool is large and spacious with lots of sunbathing space around it or take a lounger onto the grass and lie under one of the trees listening to the crickets. The dining terrace is secluded and convenient to talk to the chef in the kitchen whilst sat at the table or admire the scenery. There is a gravel area with traditional provincial chairs to enjoy a glass of something cold and over looks the church bell tower of Pont Royal and the Luberon. Some games and inflatables are provided but not guaranteed as they do get broken and not always replaced but there is the option to buy a ticket to the wave pool with the slide.

  • Notes on accommodation: The House has electric heating and a fire for winter use. Portable fans are located in the bedrooms for hot summer nights. There is a No Smoking Policy within the villa however Smoking is permitted outside. Please ask if baby equipment is required. Please note the property may not be suitable for toddlers and small children due to internal and external steps and the pool does not have a fence around it. It has a security alarm. Strictly no pets allowed. Outside: The Large landscaped garden is private and spacious with areas of sun and shade all day and a private pool 10 x 5m. From the kitchen and living rooms French doors lead to a large secluded gravel terrace with a dining table and chairs (8) and views. The Master bedroom had double doors leading on to the garden and pool.To the side of the villa is a gravel garden area with a small table and chairs (4) with views of Pont Royal Village, church and the Petite Luberon. The Terrace surrounding the pool and the Pool house is tiled and has an excellent supply of sun loungers (6) chairs and tables. The Grass area under the trees provides an ideal play area or shade. The front garden provides off road parking and is filled with lavender and olive trees. The Pool has a security alarm but is not fenced off. Garage is retained for the owners use. Utility Room: Open plan from kitchen, incorporating the washing machine and tumble dryer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: 1x bath and hand towel per person and 1x pool towel per person. Bed linen comprises of a sheet and blanket. towel/linen change once per week. English/French speaking property manager will try to accommodate additional cleaning/requirements (extra cost). Other: Covered pool house with open Fire/BBQ,bench seating, table and chairs. Wet room with shower/wc/basin, changing room. Large garden with Cypress trees, grass and flower beds. Garage retained for owners use. Off road parking for two small cars or one large.
