Set in a peaceful garden with superb mountain views, this charming Majorcan farmhouse, previously used for agriculture and as a cattle ranch has recently been updated in a simple and comfortable style, is converted in a tourist vacational house, according instructions of Ministry of Tourism of the Balearic Government, with accommodation for up to eight people on 2 floors. The property situation (at the end of a country road) allows tranquillity and almost privacy, being ideal for family vacations. You can go walking to the "Port of Pollensa" or "Pollensa old Town" by a nice footpath.

Notes on accommodation: The villa is distributed over 2 floors. Each floor has a master bedroom, another double bedroom and a bathroom. Has option for families who want to be independent. The house has two cots and two high chairs. Ideal for families with children and older people. Wifi available in all area. Air-conditioning and heating in bedrooms. It's very spacious inside and outside. Outside: The garden is well-kept and attractive, with plenty of trees and flowering shrubs providing natural shade and colour. There is a charming covered terrace adjacent to the living room which has a dining table with seating for up to twelve people and a barbecue. A cool and beautifully shaded place to relax, this area has scenic views over the sun terrace and swimming pool to mountains in the distance. A large palm tree stands at the back of the sun terrace and beyond this is the secluded swimming pool which has a paved surround and hedge and lawn borders. There is a convenient open poolside shower. Swimming pool description: Large rectangular pool. Dimensions: 10.0m x 4.0m. Depth: 1.2m - 2.1m. Access: ladder steps. 8 sunbeds and mattresses are provided. Outside there is a table tennis. Utility Room: Washing machine and washbasin. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included. The property will be cleaned once a week, when the stay exceeds 1 week. However, the towels always changed mid-week stay. Beach towels are not included. Baby sitting and mallorcan cooking service on request.

Truly Paradise

We stayed here as a family group of 8 adults and 1 baby for 10 nights.

It is not just the property that is amazing about this farmhouse, the whole experience was truly wonderful.

The farmhouse is exactly as described and the facilities are fantastic, you want for nothing whilst staying here.

The owners are wonderful people who cannot do enough for you and they are at the end of a phone if you need them.

The property was spotless when we arrived and the owner comes in to change towels twice a week and bedding once a week.

The pool is very clean and well maintained.

It is about a mile walk into Puerto Pollensa and we did it once but it was 34*C so we went in the car the rest of the time. We had a large car (9 seats) and did not have any trouble finding free parking spaces during the day or night. This was also the case when we visited the old town of Pollensa, which is a beautiful place to explore.

We went to Cap de Formentor lighthouse but if you are a nervous driver or passenger and do not like heights/drops, then this journey is not for you! I am an experienced and confident driver, so I was OK even in the minibus but there was a few passenger screams!

If you visit this wonderful property, you must turn off the outside lights and lay on the sunbeds at night to take in the amazing star bonanza in the night sky. There are millions on view and we saw several shooting stars and the Milky Way was so clear - it was magical.

We will return to Can Segui and we have recommended this property to all of our friends and relatives because it truly was like being in paradise.

You will not be disappointed if you book your next holiday at Can Segui because you get to stay in a fantastic farmhouse within a wonderful setting and get brilliant service from the lovely owners.

Pollensa paradise

We stayed as a family group with four adults and two children aged 3 and 6, for three weeks.

My husband and I have visited relatives in Puerto Pollenca many times over the last ten years, but this is the first time we have stayed independently.

We were met shortly after our arrival by the owners, Toni and Teresa, who had left us a lovely welcome pack of Spanish ham and wine and a few basics. The gateway is a little narrow and daunting, and anyone thinking of hiring a large car should perhaps think again, although it could be left just outside the house in the driveway. The drive is a typical, unsurfaced, farm driveway and can be very dusty. The property is totally invisible from the road and is amazingly peaceful, private and tranquil, the only sounds being from the neighbouring property which we didn't find a problem. Although the main Pollenca road is at the bottom of the drive you can hardly hear it.

We would say a car is essential.

It is always a bit unnerving to book a holiday without ever having seen the accommodation, but we were not disappointed ! Can Segui was exactly as described, was spacious and beautifully kept, and very well equipped for all of our needs.

We certainly needed the air conditioned bedrooms, temperatures reached the upper 30's and some days were a bit airless. Be prepared for power cuts on Saturdays, changeover day, in late afternoon. There are instructions in the house as to what to do to restore power (when it's possible).

The lovely large swimming pool is maintained well, and regularly, and was very clean.

This is a great spot for bird and goat watching , particularly from the upstairs rear bedroom which looks onto the mountain. The wild goats seem to enjoy making raids on the vegetable patch next to the house!

There are good supermarkets a short drive away and lunchtime is a good, less crowded, time to shop! Good restaurants are too numerous to mention, both in Pollenca town and the Port.

One problem was the number of wasps we encountered, although they don't appear to sting! If having a barbecue, leave it until after dusk when they are no longer a problem, if not they will try to steal all the meat!! They are not interested in sweet stuff...

Don't forget to look up after dark, the stars are truly incredible.

We would recommend this lovely house, and we hope to return in the future. We Loved It!!

Special interest holidays:

Pollensa Old Town, a few kilometres inland is set against the dramatic backdrop of the Tramuntana Mountains. The town has narrow, cobbled street, pretty squares and ancient architecture and seems a world away from the more modern tourist areas. Placa Major, the main square, has a Sunday morning market where you can buy souvenir handicrafts or fresh local products such as cheese, olives and Mediterranean vegetables to sample at lunch or on the barbecue.


Contained within 10 square kilometres, the region stretches along the coast to Alcudia from the golden beaches of Puerto Pollensa (only 2 minutes driving). There are lots of water sports on offer here from jet skiing to windsurfing and the beach has good facilities including beachside cafes, sunbed hire and pedalos. There is also a prestigious sailing club here if you would like to give this a try.

In the house there is information to rent a boat at a great price.

There are goods supermarkets within 1km of the house. Banks, chemists etc are all in the Puerto Pollensa. There are numerous good restaurants in Puerto Pollensa and Pollensa old town. It is well located here for other activities such as walking, cycling and birdwatching.

Cala St Vincent is a quiet coastal area surrounded by mountains with pine-clad ground sloping gently to the sea.

There are two caves to choose from where you will find sparkling shallow water which is great for families with young children. With convenient parking, a choice of restaurants and sun-loungers and parasols to hire, everything is there for you to enjoy a relaxing day in the sun.
