Apartment in Santa Ponsa, Mallorca - 2mins walk to Beach, Shops, Bars etc. Lovely View

1 bedroomed 2nd floor apartment with lift. Balcony with sea, pool and lovely surrounding area views. Has shower and a corner sofa bed in living room for additional sleeping. 2 mins walk from beach, shops, bars. Parking very close by. South facing which means lovely sunny position all day. Security Key entry to building. Very well looked after. All bedding, towels you need, even beach are provided.

The property is located within an area of late night bars and can be noisy late at night.

Nice apartment, noisy location

The apartment itself is basic but very nice, and really handy for the beach, and suited our needs in that respect. Everywhere was clean & tidy. There are also some nice restaurants further up the road such as South Wind. However, I am afraid to say that the noisy bars opposite the apartment block really spoilt the holiday as the loud music and people going at it all night till 6am prevented us getting a decent nights sleep! Every night we had to put on the fan in the bedroom, even though it was not needed, to try and cover the noise from outside.

In the description of La Deya Apartments (opposite) it says " ...and the property has its own nightclub" and amongst comments from their guests "?...on main street , bars and discos just in front of hotel". A rather better description of the location we feel!

It is very noticeable how the noise level and atmosphere changes if you are walking back from a restaurant and get closer to the apartment. We actually found it rather unpleasant to walk through in the evening. Had we known we would certainly NOT have booked an apartment in this area.

To add to that, there is the incredibly loud music coming across to the balcony from the tribute acts performing at the large hotels opposite. This happened each night between about 9.30 and 11.00 pm.

Whilst the owners have added a sentence about the bars to the property details, it fails to convey the reality! Whether in the bedroom or the lounge, there is a constant thump thump thump from the music all night!

All in all, what should have been a really lovely relaxing week away has left us feeling very disappointed! We will not be returning and could not recommend the apartment to anyone wanting a peaceful week in Mallorca.

Owner's Response: I have apologised and changed my listing. I think its quite harsh to say the apartment is basic, it is very cosy and has all you need. I am sorry it was noisy, unfortunately I have no control over this. I would t mention the hotel as Its not near the apartment either!, its across two roads, a football pitch and a carpark!

What a fabulous apartment it was a home from home apart from we had the sun everyday Great pool Great location right next to all the bars and restaurants The owners Gill and Rob couldn't have been more helpful picked us up at airport and told us everything we needed to know about area etc I travelled with my husband and 15 year old son and we would all def recommend this apartment to others and hopefully we will return another year

Activity and Interests

Car: not necessary


2 mins walking distance to the main beach, which has beautiful clear seas. There are lovely inlets around the bay for swimming. Pedalos, beds and umbrellas for hire. Boat trips.


20 mins by car to Palma airport, there is also a local bus which costs less than 5 euros! Local buses run to Magaluf, Palma Nova and all surrounding areas from the bus station which is 5 mins from apartment. All are very cheap, it is easy to get around without a car.

We can also help with airport transfers and organised private trips round the island by request.


Magalluf, Palma Nova within 20mins by local bus, taxi costs 10 euro and will take 10mins.

Palma centre within 20mins by local bus (motorway).

Lovely walks and bike rides.

Park walkway with the famous Santa Ponsa parrots.

Further Details:

Supermarkets, bars and banks within walking distance and plenty of restaurants. Tourist information also within walking distance.

The apartment is non-smoking but it is acceptable to smoke on the balcony. The swimming pool is virtually empty most of the day. The apartment is ideal for couples and families, not suitable for parties of people. We can help you with organising airport transfers, shopping on arrival. Nothing is too much trouble for us. Outside: Quiet pool as this is for the residents of the apartments only. It has a shallow and a deep end within a garden area. We have chairs and umbrella to take and sit by the pool. The balcony overlooks the pool which is peaceful and quiet. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: property will be cleaned on your arrival and departure. All bed linen and towels (hand, bath, beach, tea towels and cloths) are included. Other: Hallway from front door with coat hanging and shoe space. Living room has patio doors to self contained private balcony which has table, chairs and sunshade. There are buckets and spades for the children to use.
