A short relaxing break

We found the lodge to be beautifully furnished and very clean. Trudy was most helpful with allowing us to view the lodge first as I was bringing my elderly parents and my son who uses a wheelchair to get around. This was a very useful exercise and the lodge did prove to be very accessible although the downstairs shower is not suitable for someone who uses a wheelchair. The area was very peaceful and it was most enjoyable watching and chatting with the golfers. All in all a really relaxing and luxurious break - thank you Trudy

The first time we stepped through the front door of number 5 Fairway Drive we knew that it was a unique place - one of those houses that calms you straight away: light, airy and spacious - away from hustle and bustle but with easy access to local amenities and centrally located to explore everything that Norfolk has to offer.

The famous sweeping beaches of the North Norfolk coast are within an hours drive of the lodge - the wonderful, pine-fringed sands of Wells-Next-Sea and Holkham, Cromer crabs, the numerous bird-watching marshes, Seal Island, the Norfolk Steam Rail Line and the sheltered dunes of Old Hunstanton are not to be missed!


Car essential to make the most of all that the area offers, but for non-drivers who just need a few days of inactivity, or don't mind using public transport, pick-up from station or airport could be possible by arrangement.

Nearest airports are Norwich (approx 25 miles) and London Stansted (approx 68 miles). Nearest rail stations are Thetford (approx 10 miles) and Norwich.

Further Details:

Watton is a bustling community with a good range of shops and restaurants/take-aways, including quirky one-off stores, supermarkets (Tesco, Summerfield), Boots, post office, hairdressers, dry-cleaners and a local bakery, essential for that fresh, warm bread. There is an active local community centre and a sports and leisure centre.

Discounts for small parties up to 4 people may be available, please enquire.Please note that prices are based on a maximum occupancy of 8 guests (babies up to the age of 2 years in own travel cot do not count towards the total number).   • Notes on accommodation: Unfortunately we are unable to accept pets and there is no smoking inside the property. Sky+ family package and Sky sports available. Wi-fi broadband. Children welcome. Outside: The property overlooks and adjoins the 18th fairway of the golf course with a small lawned garden and low fence separating the two. There is garden furniture on the patio and 1st floor balcony. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bedlinen with duvets provided. Property is cleaned between rentals. Other: Guests can live as one large party or two separate groups of 4. All beds are very comfortable.
