Notes on accommodation: Unfortunately we are unable to accept pets and there is no smoking inside the property. Sky+ family package and Sky sports available. Wi-fi broadband. Children welcome. Outside: The property overlooks and adjoins the 18th fairway of the golf course with a small lawned garden and low fence separating the two. There is garden furniture on the patio and 1st floor balcony. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bedlinen with duvets provided. Property is cleaned between rentals. Other: Guests can live as one large party or two separate groups of 4. All beds are very comfortable.

Fabulous lodge - great for large groups

We booked the lodge for a family get together over the Easter weekend and had a fantastic time. The accommodation is superb with two separate lounges and kitchen areas. The first floor is an excellent family space with plenty of comfy sofas and chairs to accommodate up to 10 people. All areas are very well equipped, especially the kitchens with washing machines,dishwashers, coffee makers and an abundance of crockery for use. The added Sky TV and free WIFI which was very important for the teenagers and kept them entertained. Trudy was an excellent host and was very helpful with the booking process etc. The view over the golf course was second to none and seeing the deer first thing in the morning was an added bonus. Will definitely be returning.

Great weekend getaway

Gorgeous property with HUGE living spaces and amazing layout. Really well equipped kitchen, the beds were lush - especially the master bedroom - and location was good to get around. The Go Ape in nearby Thetford Forest is a must for adventure seekers, while the golf course is of course next to the place (if that's your thing)

Only thing that slightly ruined it for us was that we had lots of flies everywhere in the property during our stay...not sure where they came from as the property was spotless! Was such a shame as we so enjoyed everything else about the house but hopefully the problem can be resolved for future guests.

Would recommend the Lodge, great place to stay for exploring Norfolk. The lodge itself is lovely, accommodated 5 adults and 2 little ones easily.

A short relaxing break

We found the lodge to be beautifully furnished and very clean. Trudy was most helpful with allowing us to view the lodge first as I was bringing my elderly parents and my son who uses a wheelchair to get around. This was a very useful exercise and the lodge did prove to be very accessible although the downstairs shower is not suitable for someone who uses a wheelchair. The area was very peaceful and it was most enjoyable watching and chatting with the golfers. All in all a really relaxing and luxurious break - thank you Trudy

The famous sweeping beaches of the North Norfolk coast are within an hours drive of the lodge - the wonderful, pine-fringed sands of Wells-Next-Sea and Holkham, Cromer crabs, the numerous bird-watching marshes, Seal Island, the Norfolk Steam Rail Line and the sheltered dunes of Old Hunstanton are not to be missed!


Car essential to make the most of all that the area offers, but for non-drivers who just need a few days of inactivity, or don't mind using public transport, pick-up from station or airport could be possible by arrangement.

Nearest airports are Norwich (approx 25 miles) and London Stansted (approx 68 miles). Nearest rail stations are Thetford (approx 10 miles) and Norwich.

Medieval city of Norwich with excellent sightseeing, theatre and shopping at approx 20 miles.

Watton is a bustling community with a good range of shops and restaurants/take-aways, including quirky one-off stores, supermarkets (Tesco, Summerfield), Boots, post office, hairdressers, dry-cleaners and a local bakery, essential for that fresh, warm bread. There is an active local community centre and a sports and leisure centre.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day for weekly bookings is Saturday but this may be flexible dependent on availability - please contact us to see whether we can meet your requirements. Arrival time from 4pm and departure by 10am with some flexibility, changeovers allowing.

Notes on prices:
Rental cost includes all utilities and linens. Discounts for small parties up to 4 people may be available, please enquire.Please note that prices are based on a maximum occupancy of 8 guests (babies up to the age of 2 years in own travel cot do not count towards the total number). We reserve the right to make an additional charge for larger parties - please enquire for details. Discounts may be available for bookings made less than 4 weeks before arrival.
