Beautiful Provencal house set in 5000sq metres, with views down the gorge to the sea, near the medieval town Tourrettes sur Loup. The garden has an established fruit orchard, a large heated swimming pool, a boule court, external kitchen dining room for 12, barbecue fridge and hob. 4 separate stone tables and terraces to eat, (log and wood burning fires) separate external shower and loo. Tiled throughout and tastefully furnished. Live-in guardienne.

About Jeanna Morgan

I am a film producer, I built my house some time ago, it now has a beautiful very mature garden with an olive grove, fruit orchard, outside kitchen, barbeque large boule court, 5 different tables areas to eat, and sit, depending upon the weather and the the light. I and my family three girls 7 grandchildren all love it. it is very child friendly, the interior is contemporary shabby chic. There are lots of

pool toys , a large blue shark,rubber rings etc. 2 cots, a twin bedded room, , high chair, and children toys. Two blenders, mixing baby food etc. The washing and drying machine are housed in a separate room in the courtyard my gardienne is available to help.

Why Jeanna Morgan chose Tourrettes-sur-Loup

I loved the view in the gorge, there are no other houses in sight,, you can see straight down the gorge to the sea. It has a magical remote feeling, set in the Courmettes, I built the house on a piece of land covered with old olive trees and thyme. Despite the many years and more properties around, it still feels the same.

What makes this villa unique

It is a house that allows you to do many things, swim play boule, or just sit and read. I love cooking so the kitchen both inside and out are incredibly well equipped.

We have a herb garden as well as fruit, figs, peaches, plums, cherries. all appearing at different times of the year.

We are five friends who get together every year, I live in New York and my girl friends live in Ireland, I don't think I can remember being anywhere so peaceful and beautiful, we had a wonderful time.

We are two families with 4 children between us, the house is beautiful, very large, with lots of space outside for the children to run around. We cooked outside near the pool for both lunch and dinner, the weather was equisite, I can strongly recommend.

Notes on accommodation: The house is a family home and very suitable for children, we have two cots, two high chairs, children's toys (for the pool) There is a pool alarm. The outside pool house, is large, comprising a shower room, loo, and external kitchen, with hob, barbecue, fridge and zinc dining table. It is next to the boule court and orchard and overlooking the pool. Loungers and garden furniture in abundance. Live in guardienne can be helpful with babysitting arrangements. Outside: The garden which is very mature, has a large number of olive trees, bougainvillea, plumbago, rosemary and other Provencal plants. The large private swimming pool is heated. There are 5 separate eating areas, each with a zinc, or stone table, outside loungers, deck chairs, etc. The barbecue is part of the ext kitchen. The olive grove, overlooks the gorge and herb garden looking towards the sea. The wall which edges the olive grove has pots of pink and red geraniums. Utility Room: Washing machine, dryer, separate room outside of main house, ironing and storage. Drying facility. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included. live in guardienne are on the premises so cleaning and additional towels can be arranged to suit. Other: The dining room has a fluted roof, is tiled and has a dining table that can seat 12, two large dressers and a butchers block. It leads out onto two terraced areas, both with stone tables for eating.

Most Memorable Time in France Ever!

Les Courmettes is wonderful. A very comfortable, quiet, beautifully designed house with the best equipped kitchen I've seen and a huge garden with a spectacular view over the olive grove down the Gorges du Loup to Cagnes sur Mer without another house in sight. Not the usual holiday rental, a lovely family home. I'd rebook this year but can't as I live in Asia & my wife has just had another baby. We and our other children loved the house and the exquisite garden, full of plants in pots, the large pool with an out-door bar area, and what has to be the best boules court in the South of France (I became a real professional!). The fabulous walled medieval village of Tourrettes sur Loup is nearby. I can't recommend this property enough ... a real must!

Special interest holidays:

Tourrettes has a market each week, as does Vence, Valbonne which is 25 minutes away also has a market the first Sunday of each month. Bar Sur Loup is a beautiful hillside town which has many activities and an orange festival each year. The house is 30 mins from the airport and Nice where there are great beaches.


30 mins from Nice, great beaches. 40 mins from Cannes, again great beaches, restaurants etc. There are however many local restaurants which are reasonably priced with great food.


Nice is the nearest airport and about twenty five to thirty mins from the house. Car hire is recommended. There is however a very good taxi service is people do not wish to drive.


5 mins from Tourrettes sur Loup, 10 mins from Vence. Grasse which is at the end of the gorge is 15 - 20 mins by car.

Further Details:

The village and surrounding area has many great restaurants, at all levels, the Colombe d'or at St Paul de Vence is (20 mins). The village also has an excellent boulangerie, a paper shop, butcher and grocer, plus banking. Vence has a good supermarket. The Maeght Fondation is at St Paul de Vence, The Matisse Chapel near Vence.
