Situated in the heart of Sainte Maxime only 200 metres from the sea, Casa Del Mar is simply perfect for your relaxation and tranquillity. There are so many places to explore and things to do, both in and around the town; you can easily adapt your holiday to ensure you maximise your enjoyment. Sainte Maxime boasts a magnificent night life including a casino, night club and cinema as well many fabulous bars and restaurants nestled within the towns cobbled streets. Alternately, you could take the sea taxi over to St Tropez for that romantic evening meal? With the apartments fully fitted kitchen, you also have the choice to eat in. Why not purchase fresh produce from the local fish market or pay a visit to the supermarket, (just across the square), where you will find everything you require. Large terrace to front and rear of the property gives you the luxury to just sit and enjoy a long cool daytime drink or that quality bottle of wine just before bed.

About Dave Ball

I live with my wife Julie in Ruislip, Middlesex, just outside London, we have grown up two sons. I've numerous interests including Music, Rugby, Gardening, Cooking and Real Ale. I keep fit in the local gym, play football twice a week and cycle. We manage properties in Bournemouth (UK), Ste Maxime (France) and Manhattan NYC (US), travelling between all, when not managing a small print solutions agency, now in its 17th year. Being a person of simple tastes, I just enjoy life.

Why Dave Ball chose Sainte-Maxime

We visited Ste Maxime in 2007, by chance, and instantly fell in love with it. The town offers so much all year round, with its bars and restaurants within a two minute walk of the apartment, it was exactly what we'd been looking for. You can sense the real "Family" feel of the town as you wonder through its cobbled streets and along the quayside.

What makes this apartment unique

We have tried to furnish the apartment to create a "Home from Home" for our guests, hopefully showing we have an eye for detail? Built in 2008, 2009 was our first year in renting the property. With many positive testimonials already received, we can safely say that your stay will be a really pleasant experience.

Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen is included. One bath towel and one hand towel per person per week. You are more than welcome to use any extra, but must be washed dried and returned to the cupboard. Extra towels left unwashed will be charged for. We do not provide beach towels. Smart modern apartment .

The apartment is well equipped and in a great position to get the most out of the town,minutes from beach, shops and restaurants. The balconies are vast and are great for outdoor living. Joan was very helpful during our stay.

Peaceful Holiday

Just spent a lovely week in this apartment and couldn't rate it more highly. As we went at a quieter time of the year the additional touches such as the Nintendo wii came in particularly useful as well as the many DVDs on offer. Additionally, we spent a lot of out time attempting to cook the local cuisine (not greatly I must admit) and the cooking equipment on offer was very useful. The main highlight of staying in this apartment though was the views from both balconies. Waking up to see the sea from your balcony is definitely something we will be missing back home. My second time staying here, once with the family and once with the boyfriend so I would recommend to all types of holiday-seekers!

A delightful stay

A nice comfortable apartment clean & well maintained. I liked it as it is only a short walk from the beach & numerous bars & restaurants.

The descriptions are accurate & the owners have provided plenty of info on the resort.

With a good supermarket across the road the apartment is ideal for self catering as it is very well equipped for this purpose.

St Maxime is a delightful resort & I would certainly recommend a stay there in this apartment

My wonder visit

I really enjoyed the wonderful city of St Maxime. The apartment had all the homely comforts you would want and I enjoyed the English TV which is a rare thing on holiday.

The location is just right and there is lots of useful information in the apartment to help your way around. There is internet service which I found extremely useful.

Can't wait to go back.

Great Apartment!!!

From the moment we arrived at Nice airport, everything was relaxed, from collecting our hire car to the journey(1 hour) to Sainte- Maxime and continued with the meet & greet with Joan who helped with our arrival.

Joan was very informative and also took time to assist us in parking the car in the garage, to showing us to the apartment & explaining where everything was.

This apartment is certainly special, a place to unwind and feel relaxed!

The two roof top terraces are lovely, the smaller terrace accessed from the main bedroom, is a must for catching the morning sun whilst taking breakfast. The larger terrace is huge, and is great for relaxing on the loungers and dining Al fresco.

It was everything as described & more, with beautiful decor, very well equipped kitchen , and a comfortable homely feel to the place.

Lots to do for couples and families, nice beach, great restaurants, with a very laid back feel to the location.

Very central, within 5 mins walk to the beach & restaurants.

St. Tropez by ferry is a must, just check the return times for the last ferry back.

All in all it was a fantastic place, which we would recommend highly - the only downside was leaving the apartment and flying home!!

We will be back!!

The two bed apartment in Sainte Maxime is everything you would want and more. What we love about this getaway is that everything works and it is so easy. The fixtures are great quality, sky tv in three room (for those that like a bit of home away from home) and it all just works seamlessly. For us, one of the best aspects of this apartment, is that it is so bright and sunny. You come out of the lift to your penthouse, open the door and immediately you smile as the sun beams through the windows - even if it's a bit overcast.

The location is central. Once we parked our car in the basement it stayed there for the week, except when we popped over to see some friends in Le Lavendou. You can walk everywhere. I am a keen cyclist and there are seaside rides and hill climbs galore or you can just walk to the beach in 2 minutes for some relaxing time.

In short, it is October, we are having a great summer holiday and the apartment has added to the quality of our time away.

200 metre walk from the apartment.


We recommend that you fly into Nice airport. The airport is very modern and user friendly. Hertz, Eurocar and Avis are all situated across the road from the main terminal. A VERY short drive out of the airport will bring you to the A8 motorway. You will find that your drive will be easy and pleasurable. Please note that there are a few toll booths on route, therefore, it would help if you had some euros to hand. You can also pay an attendant, (if you have no change) or by credit card.


Nearest towns - Port-Grimaud, St Raphael, Saint-Tropez. All can be reached by using public transport, including the water taxi. Distance from Nice airport to Sainte Maxime is about 95km and takes about an hour.

January/April, can be very cold, blustery even snowy!

However, Ste Maxime, is still a very pleasant place to be; local markets are open in the town and also in neighbouring villages. Many restaurants remain open.


The town organises a 'New Year swim' down on

the sea front, held on the 1st January each year.


The first Sunday in the month 'Fete du Mimosa' is held in the Ste Maxime, which is lovely to see.


The Jet Ski Cup is held.


The 'local fete is held which lasts 3 days, followed by the local

fete in St Tropez also 3 days.

Many people dress in traditional costumes.


Cool mornings/evenings, but days are hot.

During the regatta you can take a 2 hour, half day or full

day trip on the ferry boat to navigate amongst the sailing boats.

roads Plan de la Tour/La Garde Frenet.


Christmas time when the town is decorated and illuminated.

Also St Tropez is lovely to see as the facade of the houses on the port is illuminated

with changing colours.
