Thanks Leigh and Jan for allowing us to share your little piece of heaven down Falmouth way.

Honey Buzzard Barn is so restful, comfy, our visit was at Christmas time, so extra magical with Jan's thoughtful touch,

a lovely Christmas tree and pretty lights outside.

The barn is roomy, spotlessly clean, beautifully fitted and furnished. Nothing more could be added to make our stay more perfect.

Leigh and Jans welcome is warm and their hospitality knows no bounds.

We would recommend a relaxing break to anyone and everyone and truly hope to come by again some time soon.

Stayed at the Honey Buzzard Barn in the well appointed rustic Barn in Mabe, Trenoweth.

Four of us stayed in the Barn and chilled out in the spacious lounge diner.

The location was beautiful and a very short walk for the Dog, Beaches and Restaurants.

The nightlife was great, this is definitely a destination for people of all ages.

There are so many restaurants, with every taste catered for, spoilt for choice.

Peaceful retreat

  • 5 of 5

The listing description was very accurate and the location just what we wanted, as it was down a quiet lane but only 10 Minutes from Falmouth. It was very clean and well maintained and the owners were very friendly and helpful. We went to the local pub for some of our meals which was only 5 minutes away and very good indeed. We would recommend this accommodation to anyone who likes the best of both worlds being near to all the beaches, shops and harbour, but also being in peaceful location.

Falmouth is the ultimate destination for beaches, water sports and restaurants!

For Garden lovers there are numerous Gardens open to the public by the National trust , for Horse lovers you can ride at local stables . If your interest is History then a visit to our Castle at Pendennis Falmouth is well worth it. We also have a sister Castle opposite at St Mawes, take the Ferry there, its a 15 minute ride in the Harbour and again well worth it.

For Art lovers Falmouth is full of Galleries and a visit to St Ives where the world famous artists started their careers is also a great day out.

Visit the National Maritme Museum in Falmouth for a spectacular view of Falmouth from the Tower and go underwater to see the fish in the tidal bay.

Coast/Beach:

2 minutes to Falmouth, there are literally hundreds of beautiful beaches to choose from in Cornwall but Falmouth's main Beach at Gyllyngvase is perfect.WE have lifeguarding there too. We have the best sailing, surfing and country walks. Falmouth also has many, many bars and restaurants.

Big attractions are the Eden Project , 40 minutes drive, the Cathedral City of Truro , 10 miles drive, The Seal Sanctuary very near to us and many private coves nearby not found by the usual visitor!

Travel:

Newquay airport - 45 mins, 20 miles approx.

Distances:

The village of Mabe is 1/2 mile, and has a Great pub and Spar shop. Asda just 2 minutes from there. Falmouth town is 3 miles drive. Beaches are from 3 miles and the famous Lizard point, the most southwesterly point in the UK is 45 minutes drive. Lands end is just over an hour away and the farthest westerly point in the UK. During the Summer it has a firework display once a week, great for kids there.

The Marina has some spectacular craft visiting and living in Falmouth, super yachts with famous owners often visit plus you may be lucky enough to see a cruise ship make a day call which is also a spectacular sight in Falmouth. If you book a Summer week we have many events on, hopefully again this year we will have the Red Arrows in August, a Sea Shanty festival in June ( with the famous Fishermans Friends)and many

other things.

The Helford River is worth a visit too, you can either go by car or Ferry from Falmouth, its a beautiful area with a lot of bird life.
