About Cathy & Marcus Becker

Seeking a whole new adventure in which to be able to enjoy a better quality of life, we indulged our dream of buying a beautiful and very special french property.

Being good hosts is important and we like to ensure that everyone always leaves smiling, happy and perhaps a bit more relaxed after their holiday!

Cathy & Marcus Becker purchased this cottage in 2007

Why Cathy & Marcus Becker chose Lot-et-Garonne

The stone cottage is set within the walled surrounds of the Manor House and built around 1776.

The area is exceptionally beautiful. It has rolling countryside with wonderful medieval hillside villages with cobbled narrow streets with colourful window boxes. Even in high summer, the area doesn't flood with tourists. In Spring field after field will be covered with bright yellow sunflowers a real Van Gogh countryside.

The house and cottage offers complete privacy and peace and quiet yet is only 5 minutes from the nearest small town which has a small supermarket, bakery, post office, doctors and a couple of nice restaurants. So it's ideally situated.

What makes this cottage unique

The property is well situated for commuting to and from London with airports in Toulouse, Bordeaux and Bergerac.

There is a wide variety of restaurants to choose from in the area from a 3* Michelin to a characterful cafe. The speciality is foie gras and confit of duck. The local wines are simply delicious (and well priced.)

The property is also situated far further South that people think and it enjoys warm weather from mid March right through until mid November. A wonderful year round temperature to explore this area of France.

Stunning!

  • 5 of 5

My family & I went to Domaine de Pine for a week at the very end of April, we chose to stay on a self catered stone cottage as we have a young baby. The cottage itself is absolutely gorgeous with a brand new kitchen and bar area. We chose to eat at the house on our first night. We sat outside and were served a beautiful 3 course meal. I have to add the quality and quantity of food we were served was impeccable which is why we chose to eat in for the majority of our stay. We were offered a child's option for our daughter and a highchair was also available. I cannot fault the service at Domaine de Pine. We were made to feel comfortable and that nothing was a problem. Thank you so much to Marcus & Cathy for a fabulous holiday! We will be back!
