Villa near Quarteira, Algarve - Quiet Location But Within Walking Distance To Aquashow Water Park

This large spacious detached villa with its own private pool and gardens is ideal for a large family or 2 families sharing. It is decorated to a very good modern standard and is bright and welcoming, with modern luxuries such as Wifi and satelite tv. The villa is near Aquashow Water Park and the Vila Sol complex where there is a supermarket, bars and restaurants and of course the Vila Sol 18 hole golf course. There is also a fabulous beauty spa where you can pamper yourself with various treatments. The villa is a 5 minute drive from Almancil and Quarteira where there are a vast selection of restaurants, cafés, shops and bars to suit all budgets. Quarteira also has lots to offer and every Wednesday morning there is a market where you can purchase local produce and products. The beaches are plentiful and are approx. 5 minutes drive from the villa. The famous Vale do Lobo beach is approx. 10-12 minutes drive and well worth a visit.

Notes on accommodation: All bedrooms and living areas have air conditioning units which act as heaters in the winter time. The villa is suitable for children. Outside: The villa has a lovely garden big enough for children to play in. The views are stunning and the sunsets not to be missed! The large pool 10 x 5 is private but not heated, there is a BBQ area with plenty of sunbeds and outdoor eating space. Utility Room: Washing machine and tumble dryer, ironing board and iron. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Weekly maid service with linen change weekly, towels twice weekly. Extra maid service available on request at extra charge. Pool towels also provided. Other: Basement area providing 2 further bedrooms, small kitchenette, shower room and children's play/game area.

Arrived at the end of July for family holiday - The villa was spotlessly clean and well equipped - brilliant location - short drive to beach and excellent restaurants. Would definitely recommend to family and friends.

Great villa with everthing you need

We booked this villa for our first holiday with the whole family. Four family's stayed here and we never felt on top of eachother.

The villa is larger than it looks in the pictures. It has everything you need for all ages. I have teenage sons and when they'd had enough sun there were plenty of films to choose from on the tv. The outside area is spacious with a lovely pool . Plenty of sunbeds for everyone. Large kitchen with all appliances and enough place settings to serve an army. Well kept but still felt lived in and relaxing. Weekly maid service. Twenty minute drive from the airport. Car recommended but everywhere an easy drive too. Waterpark opposite and worth a visit. Local beach great with reasonably priced restaurants along the front. Go-karting track 10 min drive which we all loved. Even something for the younger ones. We loved our two week stay so much we're all going back this year. Highly recommended.

Large & Spacious Villa

Just returned from a family holiday at this beautiful villa. There were 7 of us (all adults) and a baby and there was plenty of rooms and space to accommodate us all comfortably. There was an additional basement floor with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom which we didn't even use! Well equipped large kitchen and a utility room with everything you need if you want to do any laundry! There was additional fridge freezers in here too which came in really handy to keep our beers cold! Large flat screen TV, Wifi & air conditioning all added to the home comforts. The outside space was great with a good size pool, plenty of sun beds and a large table and chairs, ideal for us all to eat outside. Especially nice when we used the built in barbecue!

Definitely need a car but local beaches, shops and restaurants are just a short drive away. Overall we were very happy in this villa, had a great time & hope to return.

great stay in portugal

We stayed here with 2 other couples and 2 babies and had a floor each in the villa so ample space for all. Infact pictures don't really capture how large the villa really is. Inside the villa is lovely, plain yet fresh and clean with every kitchen appliance you can imagine.

The pool was a welcome for heat and even had a kids plahhouse outside for our children. The gardens are well maintained and plenty of room to at, relax,eat and Sun bathe.

The villa is opposite aqua show water park and surprisingly there is minimal noise from its visitors. (There is however plenty of barking from the local dogs.)

Car hire is essential as there is only 2 restaurants within walking distance. The nearest towns are Vilamoura and quarteria. You cannot walk there as its just busy main roads all the way so car or taxi only. Taxi about £8 I think to Vilamoura.

Over all great place just wish we were a bit closer but villa itself fantastic!

Car: necessary

Special interest holidays:

Interesting walks and cycle routes can be organised throughout the local area. Bike hire can be arranged daily or weekly. Deep sea fishing or boat trips are also available.


The Algarve is famous for it's unique beaches and within a 10 minute drive from the villa, there are several stunning beaches to choose from including Trafal, Vale do Lobo, Vilamoura and Quinta do Lago. Quinta do Lago beaches also have plenty of water sports available to keep everyone occupied including wind surfing, banana boats and jet ski's. If you continue down the coastline, there are many more secluded beaches all with golden sand stretching as far as the eye can see.


Faro is the nearest airport and it is 15 mins drive away. A car would be recommended so that you can enjoy all that the central Algarve has to offer. For car hire or transfer quotes please ask us.


Quarteira is a 5 minute drive from the villa and there is a market held every Wednesday along with a daily fish and veg market. Vilamoura is 10 minutes away, Almancil 10 minutes, Loulé 10 minutes and Faro 20 minutes where there is a Shopping centre with a cinema and shops. Zoomarine is a 30 minute drive, tickets can be arranged with us. This park is ideal for younger children and has unique dolphin and seal shows where you can interact with the animals.

Further Details: Other activities available are horse riding, biking, tennis, paragliding, bird watching, mountain Jeep safaris, boating and mountain walking. Vilamoura also has a casino so why not try your luck at the tables. As for sightseeing, the historic town of Loulé is just 10 minutes away and is full of beautiful old buildings and a castle. The cobbled streets which wind through Loulé are full of restaurants, bars and boutiques. To the west you can find the beautiful Monchique mountains with the spa of Caldas de Monchique. If you continue west, you will find the town of Sagres and Lagos which are also full of interest and beauty. Along the way you will see many un-spoilt beaches which will take your breath away. If you travel east you will find the new and the old town of Faro each with it's own charm. In the new town there is a modern shopping complex full of the latest high street shops such as Zara and Mac and in the old town, is the Marina where you will see luxury boats moored next to local fishing ones. The winding streets around the Marina are full of local boutiques, bars and restaurants. A little further east in Olhão there is an ancient and unique Municipal market which is a seafood shoppers delight, and lots of local restaurants all serving fresh fish. From both Olhão and Tavira you can a take a boat to one of the offshore islands and spend the day island hopping. Continue east a little further on is the beautiful & massive Guadiana river which forms the frontier with Spain which is about a 40 minutes drive away.

To book a 20% deposit (non-refundable) is required and the balance 10 weeks before arrival. A damage deposit is required on arrival of £250 or 250 euros and this is refunded on departure providing the house is left to an acceptable standard. Please note for Spring bank holiday week the min rental is 7 nights.

Changeover Day:
We will try to be as flexible as possible. If the villa is booked on your day of arrival then check in will need to be at 4pm. If it is booked on your departure then check out will be 10am.

Prices are in sterling but euros also accepted at the current exchange rate.
