Equipped to the highest standard with Sky TV, DVD, CD, balcony modern kitchen equipped with washing machine, microwave, fridge/freezer, oven and electric hob. Air conditioning to all bedrooms - The villa is located in prestigious Los Rotes -Denia town with ferry to Ibiza -Palma is sophisticated. The new Marina has many cocktail bars/restaurants. Morning coffee or lunch can be enjoyed in one of the many diverse restaurants or cafe bars from fine dining to tapas you will find excellent choices. 20 minutes drive to golf courses, also the tourist resorts of Javea and Moraira. 1 hour drive to cosmopolitan city of Valencia. 5 minutes walk to the sea - 20 minutes walk to Marina and supermarket and 25 minutes walk into Denia town - bus stop 2 minutes walk away.

About ellie

This villa is contemporary light and airy - when we had the house remodelled we concentrated on making it light and airy (not cluttered and dark) as many Spanish homes are - we decided to make upstairs the living space open plan with kitchen - dining and lounge area - plus two bedrooms both with en-suite downstairs is a further two bedrooms plus bathroom and our own bedroom which we keep locked and are not for use - large entrance hall and utility - I am a safety fanatic so we had safety gates made for children's safety on the inside stairs and also the outside stairway too - electric gate for security and safety for children - pavements aren't great for first few minutes walk until you join the main promenade walkway which is easy walking access into town and the port passing by the marina

Why ellie chose Javea, Moraira and Denia Area

Being involved in travel I enjoyed the opportunity to travel to many places - I never thought of buying a holiday home until I visited Denia and I immediately fell in love with the area and the Spanish traditions still continuing in this cosmopolitan town and resort - I have now retrired and have decided to try letting the property for a short period -as this is predominently our holiday home and we want to keep up the high quality and standard of the interior and pool area and enjoy when possible our lovely home the beautiful surrounding beaches and appreciate the beauty mount mongo and the nature reserve that our home sits along side

What makes this villa unique

The property is in the upmarket area of Los Rotes which is quite rural and we are very close to the sea - and beach - the property is private - but it is not remote - it is convenient for the local bus stop which is two minutes walk away and this service runs about every half hour into town - marina and to the supermarket behind Port Denia Hotel which sells fresh bread and pastries daily which are delicious mmmm...but if you dont fancy the 20minute walk the bus drops you right there-Best paella in Denia restaurant on our doorstep eat in-take out-We are not remote people we do enjoy privacy but the thought of us being stuck out in the sticks needing to drive every where was not for us - we love it and guests who have stayed have gone home with great reviews and memorable holiday times -

Notes on accommodation: This luxury contemporary detached Villa/house sits at the side and at the bottom of the Javea to Denia Mountain road and is two minutes walk from the local bus stop which goes into Denia town and also to the Marina and market. 5 minutes walk to the sea, 20 minutes stroll along the promanade to the Marina and supermarket and beach - 30 minutes stroll into town with its many sophisticated bars and restaurants from tapas to fine dining the choice is endless. Vibrant tree lined main shopping street Marques de Campas where you can relax and indulge ice cream from one of the many ice cream parlours or maybe a coffee or something a little stronger and idle away many an hour watching the world go by. Smoking is not permitted inside the villa. Please bring your own beach towels. Arrivals after 2.00pm - please vacate by 10.00 am on day of departure..extra cleaning available payable and arranged locally. Outside: There is a private pool with alfresco dining, table with 8 chairs and 8 sun loungers, gated parking facilities for 2 cars. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: House towels and beach/pool towels and linen provided cleaning before arrival and on departure - cleaning can be offered more frequently at extra charge paid locally and arranged with management of the property. Other: Small balcony upstairs for outdoor coffee in the morning or a nightcap in the evening. Table with 10 chairs outside by the pool for alfresco dining. 10 sun loungers by the pool for the sun worshippers.

Fantastic property, close to excellent tapas bars...can walk or get bus to denia. Excellent communication from Ellie throughout our booking and stay. We would highly recommend this property so much so we have booked for next year.

Home from home

Villa had every thing you would need for a relaxing holiday, there was every home comfort you would expect in you own home. The pool was clean and well maintained, the hole family loved it, there was even some pool toys for the kids to play with. The beach was at the end of the road and the town centre had more restaurants to beat the band.

Ellie thank you for sharing you holiday home with us, it was a holiday we wont forget and hope to be back next year.

Luxury villa

We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful luxury villa. We didn't realise the beach was so near (8 minute walk) and this was a wonderful surprise. Although it was peak season the beach had plenty of space and was not at all crowded. The town and marina were a 20 -30 minute walk away and we enjoyed lots of the nice restaurants on offer. Our son loved snorkelling in the warm shallow sea and the fair was a big hit as well. Many thanks to Sasha and Ellie for being so helpful.

Beautiful villa in excellent location

We have recently returned from a superb stay at Ellie’s beautiful villa.

Casa Gekko is situated in Las Rotas, conveniently located close to the beach, Marina and town. Along the way there are bars, restaurants and a supermarket, so nothing is far away.

The villa itself is set in a large, well-maintained garden with pool, BBQ and lots of seating (shady and sunny). Inside is large and airy and the way that Ellie has furnished it makes it feel homely, not just a holiday let. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of storage and hanging space, pretty and comfortable bedding and air conditioning. There is a lovely terrace upstairs, perfect for evening drinks.

Ellie has thought of everything, from SKY television, games and WIFI, down to beach equipment and shopping bags!

We would not hesitate in recommending Casa Gekko, although of course we would prefer to keep it a secret as we don’t want everyone to know about it! Ellie was prompt to respond to any queries and straight forward. We hope very much to return again!

Ellie,s Place

Denia is lovely.The property is everything it said it would be. Lots of room for two families. We went to the castle, fantastic,but if it is hot go early. Ellie is great always there at the end of a phone if you need her.

Lovely villa in a great location

This is our second stay at this villa . Its lovey and homely great decor and a balcony to chill by candle light . It's in a great location , lovely views of mountains behind you yet only 3 min walk to bus stop into town or 15 mins walk to sea front with a good choice of restaurant . Denia is a jewel of the costs blanca once visited you will want to return . We will be back again .
