About the Owner

We are a couple in our fifties who like to holiday in comfort. We both work long hours so we feel that our holidays should be special. Like lots of people we have been to all the usual holiday hot spots so we feel we know what people expect when they stay at our apartment. This is the first time we have owned a place abroad so we were very careful in selecting someone to look after the apartment and our guests for us. Teresa our local agent speaks perfect English and goes out of her way to ensure our guests are comfortable (she once made an ill guest chicken soup-you don't get that kind of service on a package deal!). She also owns the village tourist office so is the ideal person when it comes to to advising on everything from airport transfers to trips.

Just dropping you a quick line to thank you for the use of your beautiful apartment over the last week and a half. Your very eloquent description of your apartment still doesn't do it justice ! Everything from the arranged transport, location , comfort , equipment was first class .

It was our first time in Olhos D'Agua , even though we have been regular visitors to Portugal over the years ,and again we were very impressed . The beach is fantastic, and the variety of little cafes and bars around the prom were all excellent !

lovely appartment

We stayed in this lovely appartment in August 2016. Our transfers were sorted for us, good both ways. The location is very good with plenty of bars and restaurants near by. The appartment is lovely, modern and clean. Would recommend this. It's a 35-40 minutes walk to the main strip or 10 minutes taxi. Lovely beaches 5-10 minutes walk. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Holiday

Beautifully presented property. I personally loved it's outlook, up & away from main road. My daughter would have preferred it over looking the pool. Only thing missing in this lovely property was a cafetière. Perfect holiday location. I hope to return next year. ❤️

Wonderful

Really can't say anything other than absolutely wonderful stay. The apartment is fantastic with everything you could possibly need & everyone so helpful & friendly. Any problems you just nip round the corner and speak to the ladies at the travel centre. Had only been home for 2 days and booked again for a weeks winter sun!!

Mini break

Took a mini break at the start of June, 4 days in the Beautiful Olhos de agua. Can't say enough good things about this little village, the restaurants are great, food is amazing loads of fresh fish and fillet steak to die for and super cheap!! Days were spent on the beach and when the sun gets too much we managed a whole 1minute walk to the beach front cafe's for sangria. Such a relaxing place. Apartment is fab, has everything you will ever need and more, its like a home from home. Apartment complex has a lovely large pool with sunbeds and umbrellas for all to use and if you feeling energetic a tennis court. Weather was in the high 20's with not a cloud in the sky.......can't wait to visit again :)

Excellent Apartment

We picked up the keys from a really kind and helpful lady Teresa. She came and showed us around the apartment and how things worked. She explained how we'd contact her if we needed anything at all during our stay. The apartment was spotless when we arrived and had everything that we needed. I used the sofa bed which was brand new and really comfy. We ate in some good restaurants in Olas de Agua and found the people really friendly. The apt was very handy for local supermarket and beaches. Thank-you Rosaleen for a great stay. I would definitely recommend this apt if you're visiting the Algarve.

Location

From the Owner

We loved the area as soon as we set eyes on it. Nestled between Vilamoura and Albufeira this is a real quaint fishing village. Here you can watch the fishermen unload their catch each day and eat that same catch that night in one of the many restaurants. A very relaxed place no need to get dressed up at night if you don't feel like it. Friendly people who have time to chat and are genuinely happy to see you. No loud discos etc but cafes by the beach, just perfect for watching the waves over a cold beer. It's our perfect place to unwind and best of all its only a couple of hours away.

Nearest Airport : Faro at 25 Miles Nearest Train : Albuferia at 3 Miles Nearest Beach : Olhos da Agua at 500 Metres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

8 minute walk to the beautiful blue flag beach of Olhos de Agua beach with its sheltered coves. Falesia beach one of the finest in Europe is just around the headland and from here you can walk along the beach to Vilamoura across miles of golden sand.

Travel:

Faro airport only 25 minutes away by car. Albuferia 5 minutes by bus. Taxis & Bus stops 2 minutes from apartment. Car hire is available but not essential as the bus service is very good and cheap. Can arrange private transport from airport to apartment 30 euros if required.

Private mini bus available to all major attractions via our managing agent Expose.

Distances:

2 water parks Slide and Splash and Aqualand with easy driving distance. Zoomarine offering dolphin shows etc a 15 minute drive away. All are well worth a visit for adults and kids alike. The marina in Villamoura with its fabulous yachts is a ten minute drive away, great for lunch and people watching in the sunshine. Supermarket, pharmacy, restuarants and our agent all within 2 minutes walk. No need for a car!

Further Details:

Nightlife in Olhos d'Agua tends to be centred around the excellent restaurants and open aired cafes, for those looking for a more lively evening Albufeira is 3km away with the taxi rank being one minute away. Bus service is also available. Excellent restaurants; La Cigale overlooking the beach view is stunning. Azul fish restaurant in the village, excellent food and service. Restaurant Olhos De Agua excellent original Portuguese food with very friendly staff. So many nice places to eat it's hard to go wrong.

We have been renting our apartment out for most of the summers and reports back from our guests have been great. Each and every one had nothing but praise for the apartment and the complex. Location is a big plus, near enough to walk to the beach and all the restaurants and bars but quiet at the same time. Safe for children as there is no access to the complex without a key which parents are keen on. With the washer/dryer and dishwasher guests say they have rarely stayed anywhere so well equipped. Glad to say many of our guests have rebooked time and time again.
