A substantial apartment of 130m situated within the exclusive Domaine de la Residence. The apartment has been recently refurbished to a high standard with a modern kitchen, wooden floors and a home cinema. Ideal for skiing and excellent for hiking etc in the spring and summer. Villars is truly a dual season resort. There are excellent summer facilities in Villars and surrounding areas including lake Geneva.

Superb home away from home, in the mountains...

This was our second visit to this stunning apartment. Absolutely every care has been taken to make this a superb home away from home in the mountains. Even the now appeared on cue!

The apartment is large and with three bath/shower rooms perfect or either a large family, group of friends or even two couples who like the space to spread out!

The chalet apartment is wonderfully well equipped, with everything one might possibly need. The sonos,digital projector, screen and subscription to Netflix a great addition to the books, games and DVDs available.

We love the location. A short walk to the slopes from which it is an easy ski down to the Roc d'Orsay telecabin, with wonderful views.

The rental, apartment information and customer service is clear and well organised, and the owner responsive to any questions which might arise.

We shall definitely visit again, although we might try a different time of year to make the most of the local walks and the fantastic balcony. We enjoyed the small mountain restaurant at La Verneyre.

From the Owner

Villars is really easy to get to - 2 trains per hour from Geneva airport to Aigle then a taxi up the mountain. Excellent in winter and summer.

Activity and Interests

Car: necessary


Lake Geneva is about a 30 minute drive away and has "beach" facilities, lake trips and an Aquaparc. The beautiful town of Montreux is about a 35 minute drive.


Geneva 1 hour 15 mins by car or 1 hour 20 on the train to Aigle, then a 20 minute taxi ride. It is also possible to access Villars on the mountain train from Bex, or there is a bus from Aigle to Villars. There is outside parking available at the Chalet.


15 minute walk to Villars town centre (up hill on the way back!) or a 2 minute drive. Lake Geneva and Montreux within a 35 minute drive.

From the Owner

This is a beautiful apartment well equipped with stunning views. Far from being a rental apartment it is our families second home but regrettably we cant use it as much as we would like! You can ski in and out avoiding the lift queue and the train. There is a great range of skiing both for beginners and advanced skiers. There are wide pisted slopes and an excellent range of off piste runs for those who want to be more daring. At Diableret it is possible to ski off piste from the Glacier, though a guide is recommended. Within an hour you can drive around to to Verbier or Gstaad. In the summer the resort is really popular, you can hire bikes, swim, hike, para glide, white water rafting or sail on the lake in the wonderful clean air.

  • Notes on accommodation: Perfect apartment for 2 families, the second bunk bedroom is quite small but fine for children. This is a family 'second home' furnished to a high standard, extremely comfortable and well equipped. Recently installed wireless SONOS, perfect for streaming music from an iPhone or similar to the living room and main bedroom. Outside: Shared garden, gas BBQ on the balcony. Utility Room: Additional washer and dryer in the basement. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are included, the property is cleaned at the beginning and end of the holiday let. Other: Superb balcony of some 56m on 2 sides of the apartment with magnificent views. Both main bedrooms have access to the balcony and the en-suite bunk bed room has its own balcony.
