Newly built in 2008. 'The Paddock' at Foulden Hagg is a luxury 4 bedroom house with 4 bathrooms, privately located with breathtaking views of the Cheviot and Lammermuir Hills. With ample parking and a games room with pool table, fusbal table tennis and darts. The Paddock is the ideal base for a peaceful getaway or an action packed week's walking, cycling, golfing or fishing in the beautiful Scottish Borders.
Property was perfect for our weekend away. Very spacious, communication was excellent from the owners. Would definitely recommend.
Great spacious house, lovely and clean
House is very big inside lots of space for 9 of us! Very clean and very peeaceful sitting outside too
The house was ideal for myself, husband and 4 teenage children along with my elderly parents. Beautiful downstairs bedroom and bathroom with walk in shower suited my parents and the large bedrooms upstairs bedrooms were great for all of us. The games room was well used by the children and the adults spent many enjoyable hours on the beautiful patio and large lounge. We would definitely go back and also recommend it to our friends.
Have just returned from a weeks stay in the Paddock. Had a fantastic time.
The house itself is stunning, the pictures do not do it justice. The house is very large, has a great layout and is immaculately clean. Having a games room is a great addition.
The area is lovely, very scenic location with the advantage of having the local amenities and quaint town centre within a short drive.
The location is perfect, both for spending time at the coast (the beaches are fantastic and clean) or for travelling to the numerous border towns or further afield.
The owner was very helpful and accommodating.
I have stayed at numerous holiday homes throughout the UK but none of them could compete with the Paddock.
I would certainly recommend the Paddock and hopefully we will be returning soon.
However this property was advertised as having a hot tub & we were very disappointed there wasnt one. I would not have booked this property if i had known this.
Coast/Beach:
The beautiful unspoilt coastline of Berwickshire & North Northumberland are within a 10 minute drive with fishing villages, coastal walks & superb beaches all well worth a visit.
Travel:
The Paddock is in a rural location so use of a car is essential, there is an Eastcoast Mainline Railway station 5 miles away at Berwick with good services to Edinburgh, Newcastle & beyond.
Newcastle Airport is 60 miles away & Edinburgh is 50 miles.
Distances:
Berwick-upon-Tweed 5 miles, Duns 10 miles, Coldstream 12 miles, Kelso 22 miles.
Edinburgh 45 miles, Newcastle 60 miles.
Further Details:
There are a good range of shops, restaurants, supermarkets etc in Berwick-upon-Tweed, with some of the surrounding villages having good pubs & smaller shops.
Several large country houses are well worth visiting: Paxton House, Manderston House, Mellerstain & Floors Castle to name but a few. Alnwick Castle & gardens is an excellent day out.
If you enjoy walking or cycling the area is perfect for your holiday with hundreds of miles of footpaths & quiet country lanes.

On booking we require 33% of the fee as a deposit with the balance payable 3 weeks before arrival.
Changeover Day:
Saturday in high season ,but short breaks available in low season so changeover can then be flexible.
The property is available from 4pm on the day of arrival and to be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.

Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds.
As Xmas and New Year fall midweek changeover day will be flexible.
Discounts may be available for small parties. (Low season)
