Our luxury air-conditioned apartment is modern and tastefully decorated to a high standard with quality furnishings. Set in a perfect location, it is fully equipped with all the modern conveniences you would expect - we consider it a home from home. The apartment is situated in a prime spot within Armacao de Pera - in a quiet neighbourhood but just 5 minutes walk from 3km of beautiful sandy beaches, shops, supermarkets, bars, cafes and numerous restaurants that serve a variety of cuisines including fresh seafood and local specialities. Armacao's beach is one of the longest in the Algarve stretching out as far as the eye can see to the east, whilst to the west the landscape changes to stunning rock formations and coves. Armacao de Pera is one of the oldest established resorts on the Algarve and oozes traditional Portuguese charm. It is very family friendly and you often see 3 generations of families out strolling along the promenade in the evening. With stunning beaches, beautiful scenery and near-round sunshine, Armacao de Pera is the ideal holiday destination.

About the Owner

Myself, my mother and my brother purchased our apartment as a joint venture whilst on a short holiday. We had never visited Portugal before but immediately fell in love with the climate, the friendliness of the people, the serenity, the landscape, the food and the fabulous beaches! We love the fact that from the moment you arrive, you feel nice and relaxed. One day we hope to upgrade to a villa, but for the time being we're more than happy with our lovely apartment. We never tire of going to Portugal and I know my mother aspires to permanently move out there sometime in the future.

Awesome Location

thank you for sharing your lovely home with us. It was perfect for us as we wanted to be able to have easy access to the area. Car was not required as the property was conveniently located to public transport. We loved all of the local restaurants all within walking distance and the walks along the water front were so beautiful.Perfect get away for long stay and short stays. The appartment had everything we needed. Did try the roof top pool but a bit chilly as it was not heated but still loved the view and meeting others in the building.

we will definitely come back to stay.

Location

From the Owner

Armacao de Pera appealed to us immediately, it is built along a small stretch of coastline and as a result you are only ever 5-10 minutes walk from the sea. It is a traditional Portuguese town, very family friendly and nearly everyone speaks English - the resort does not survive on English tourism unlike other resorts. There are a lot of apartments in the resort but they are mainly holiday homes for the Portuguese who come down from the North in the summer. Armacao has a population of approximately 5,000 but this increases significantly in July/August when the Portuguese are on holiday. The area is easily accessible, with Faro airport 35 minutes drive away. The resort lies just 10 minutes from the motorway and being in Central Algarve it is easy to explore to the east and west.

Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

Our apartment is 5 minutes walk, or 200 meters from the nearest beach - which is 3km long and stretches out to the East as far as the eye can see. It is one of the longest beaches on the Algarve and has the largest reef in Portugal directly off its coast, making it popular with divers and fishermen. To the West the scenery changes to stunning rock formations and coves, including the 'secret beach' which you can access through a tunnel in the rockface from an adjoining cove!

Travel:

The nearest airport to Armacao de Pera is Faro, 50km away (or a 35-40 minutes drive). We are able to provide a transfer service at a competitive rate.

Armacao de Pera is centrally placed should you want to explore the coastline/area in more detail. The far East and far West of the Algarve can each be reached in approximately one hours drive.

Changeover Day:
We are completely flexible on length of stays and changeover days. Check in time is from 3pm on day of arrival and check out time is by 11am on day of departure. Extended hours can be arranged.
We require a minimum stay of 3 nights stay when booking the apartment.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the apartment per week/day in UK pounds. We are able to accommodate stays shorter or longer than one week, we are completely flexible - rates are calculated on a pro-rata basis.

A 25% non-refundable deposit is required when initially making a booking. The 75% balance payment and a £150 refundable breakages deposit is required 6 weeks before departure (the breakages deposit will be returned to you 10 days after your holiday finishes subject to a satisfactory property inspection).

From the Owner

The property is a 5 minutes walk from 3km of sandy beach and from restaurants, shops and bars. We have furnished the apartment to a high standard and it is fully equipped as we want it to be a home from home for both ourselves and our guests. The resort is well placed for all golf courses, plus there are numerous water parks and other family activities in the vicinity. Its central location means that everything in the Algarve is within driving distance of no more than 1 hour maximum. You can also easily drive across the border into Spain for a day trip if you so desire! Approximately 80% of our bookings are from either returning guests or from recommendedations, which we think speaks volumes for our apartment and the resort.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: The property is on the second floor and features air-conditioning/heating. It is east facing with fabulous views over the Portuguese countryside. From the roof top terrace you have views of the sea. Outside: A barbeque, outdoor chairs and sun loungers are provided, as well as a range of beach games. You are more then welcome to use these on the balcony, take them up to the rooftop terrace/pool area or take them to the beach. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Full towels and linen are included (but not beach towels). The property is thoroughly cleaned prior to arrival. Welcome packs, extra cleaning services, extra travel cots, extra high chairs and camp beds can be arranged on request. Other: We have our own chairs and sun loungers that can be taken up onto the roof terrace and we have a range of beach toys for guests use. We have a small collection of golf course guides which you are more than welcome to use when playing.
