Villa in La Florida, Nr. Conil de la Frontera, Spain - Villa With Private Pool In Peaceful Location Only 10 Minutes Drive To The Beach

The villa is in a peaceful rural setting overlooking farmland with distant views to the Atlantic Ocean where there are Blue Flag beaches in abundance. The large garden offers both sun and shade and is fully enclosed. We are close to golf courses, go-carting, horse-riding, sailing and water sports, including surfing. Conil town is only a short 5 minute drive away with its fabulous beaches, restaurants and bars.

Casa Las Cumbres is a comfortable, well equipped villa capable of sleeping up to 6 guests. There is a master with en-suite bathroom and air-conditioning, 2 twin bedrooms with central light fans, a good sized air-conditioned lounge with dining area and patio doors to the covered terrace, garden and private sunny pool. There is Spanish TV but some channels air English programmes where yo can change the language setting back to English. There is a CD/DVD player so you can enjoy your choices at your own leisure.

The pool is also fenced and the garden completely enclosed making it a safer place for those families with small children. The kitchen is equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob, Fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and all one would expect for a self catering holiday. There is also a family shower room for the 2nd and 3rd bedroom guests to share.

Outside the terrace is equipped with out door dining furniture, a brick built BBQ and a couple of sun loungers and chairs in the garden.

Off road parking for 2 vehicles.

This property is sadly unsuitable for anyone requiring wheelchair access due to the steps into the villa.

There is much to see and do here on the Costa de la Luz. Enjoy the hiltop white villages of Vejer, Medina and Arcos or the many beaches within easy reach such as Conil, El Palmar, Roche, La Barossa and Zahora or enjoy the culture of the fabulous cities - Cadiz, Seville or Jerez - all within an hour to 1.5 hours journey.

The perfect holidays

I have being renting this property for the last 6 years and hopefully we will be able to rent it again for next summer.

Firstly, I have rent properties in the past where the pictures look fantastic with spacious rooms only to get really dissapointed on arrival.

This property is ideal . I love the location, specially for a family with children because still closed to shops, beaches etc but at the same time a little bit far away from the noisy Conil. The house is in perfect condition and well look after and it is a bonus that in case something goes wrong, straight away you get the help need it.

Holiday villa for the best of both worlds

Casa Cumbres is the ideal place if you like the quiet and calm of the countryside. The villa is entirely enclosed, not overlooked with a lovely garden and a swimming pool with a safety fence round it. The villa itself, is situated between Chiclana and Conil, the nearest airports being Jerez and Gibraltar, a car is therefore essential. It sleeps 6 people comfortably, with air contitioning in the master bedroom (en suite) and and ceiling fans in the two twin rooms, and a further large bathroom with shower cubucal, thereby benefitting from two fully functioning bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equiped with everything you need including a dishwasher and washing machine. There are shops and supermarkets within easy reach, but recommend the little local shops for good value and traditional Spanish food. The villa itself is very comfortable and easy to manage, with tv and dvd player. The wonderful beaches and little coastal towns are within easy reach as are the cultural cities of Medina Sidonia and Cadiz (30 minutes away) and Seville (1 and a half hours away). Catherine, the agent, is English, very friendly and is always on hand to give assistance should you require it. As we enjoy peace and quiet, we have found our perfect retreat and are about to make our fifth consecutive booking.

We have the most magnificent sandy Blue Flag beaches in Conil approx 10 minute drive from the villa. The beaches are expansive and safe for families as they are manned by life guards in the summer months. Also during high season there are wooden huts placed on the beaches which are set up as summer bars and restaurants. On the promenade in Conil there are various bars and restaurants open all year round. Further along the coast there are several small and very picturesque coves.


Nearest airport is Jerez - 40 minutes drive away (37 miles or 60km). Gibraltar - just over 1 hour drive away (65 miles or 105km). Sevilla - 1 hour 20 mins drive away (90 miles or 150km). Malaga (good for a wider range of destinations) - approx 2 and a bit hours drive away (140 miles or 220km).


Within a 5 minute drive away at El Colorado, there are supermarkets, a bakery, a chemist, a bank (with 24hr cash machine), a petrol station and many restaurants and bars. Conil is a 10 min drive away. Conil is an authentic Andalucia white coastal town. It's new part has several large supermarkets, a medical centre and many banks. In the old town there are dozens of bars and restaurants (many serving freshly caught seafood), together with an array of small arts and crafts shops.

Further Details:

There is a go-carting track in El Colorado (5 mins drive). Travelling south from Conil is El Palmar beach, very popular with surfers during the winter months. Further on there is Cape Trafalgar, the site of the Battle of Trafalgar. Inland, you can discover, Vejer de la Frontera, a traditional pueblo blanco, full of narrow cobbled streets with tiny shops selling an array of items. We are in the heart of the real Spanish Andalucia. There are many 'Ferias' throughout the year (colourful festivals where locals dress in flamenco style dress, sometimes on horseback). There are numerous family run restaurants locally where a family can eat out very reasonably.

  • Notes on accommodation: The villa offers a wonderful home from home experience. There is air-conditioning and fans provided throughout the house. It is an ideal rural retreat for those seeking some peace and quiet or perfect for young families due to the fenced pool. Outside: From the lounge there are double patio doors that lead on to a covered patio area furnished with a large mosaic dining table with 6 cast iron chairs. From here there is a distant sea view. A traditional stone BBQ adds to your alfresco experience. The patio area leads on to the garden which has a couple of sun loungers for those lazy afternoons by the pool. There are cushions for all outdoor furniture. The private pool is approx 8m by 4m with a stainless steel ladder at one end, and fully fenced off. The garden is laid to lawn with lemon, fig and olive trees. Colourful shrubs and climbing plants adorn the perimeter walls. The villa is surrounded on 3 sides by farm land and on the fourth side across a dirt track by a small farm house and workshop. There is secure parking for two cars on a gravel area just inside the sliding entrance gate. Utility Room: With ironing board, iron, hairdryer, various brushes and mops and a interior clothes airer. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and bathroom towels are included (but not towels for pool or beach). Linen change for longer stays and interim cleaning can be arranged for an additional charge - to be agreed in advance of arrival.
