Set on a large plot in the quieter residential area of Cala En Porter, but within easy reach of resort centre with all amenities and beach. Private south facing pool surrounded by extensive patio area, barbecue area, enclosed sun porch and attractive secluded courtyard to rear of villa. Private driveway and parking for 2 cars. For those who do not wish to hire a car there is a bus stop within easy reach.

About the Owner

My parents moved out to Menorca in the 70s and spent 25 blissfully happy years there. I have owned the villa for 16 years now and go there as often as I can. My whole family adore it too and we have enjoyed some wonderful holidays there together with both children and grandchildren. I love the entire Spanish way of life, the language, the food, the people and the culture and I think the old traditional Spanish-style houses, with their terracotta tiling, beautiful dark wood doors and beams and cool whitewashed walls with high ceilings are enchanting. Because of this I have tried to retain my villa's characteristics and to keep its relaxed atmosphere, making just a few modernisations for extra comfort. My dream is to be able to spend a much larger part of my life in Menorca when I retire.

Perfect location!

Booking with the owner Jackie (owner) was easy and efficient, she answered all of my questions and the transaction was stress free.

We had a great holiday, the villa is as described - "Older Style Spanish Villa".

The location could not have been better, we were travelling with young children so location to the airport, beach, restaurant and shops was a priority. No need to have a car unless you want to really investigate Menorca, there is a bus service to Mahon were you can get to many different places.

When we arrived the villa was clean and ready for us.

We had everything we needed in the villa even some pool/beach toys -The pool was fantastic, cleaned every other day, shallow end with steps were our granddaughter spent most of her holiday!

Towels and sheets were changed after a week, the people who look after the villa are friendly and happy to have a chat.

A bit more hanging space in the master bedroom would have been helpful, but there was plenty in the other 2 bedrooms.

This is a pretty, traditional Spanish villa, but with a few modern additions, ie, powerful showers, a large pool and lots of terrace area, it also has off-road parking for 3 cars. If you are looking for UK-style luxury, it comes at a price and , this is not the place for you but .... if you are looking for comfortable accommodation, great location (bus stop into Mahon just across the road), main resort and beach easily walkable and sheer value for money, then look no further. We are flexible on arrival days and departures and try our hardest to accommodate guests, as we know from experience that many flights are much cheaper mid-week. We also try to allow for early arrivals and late departures if at all possible.

Activity and Interests


Within easy reach of beach. 15 mins walk to beautiful bay. The road from the resort centre slopes down to the beach and there are steep steps back up to resort, but the breathtaking view of the whole bay from the top is a must!


There is a bus stop 50 metres from the villa. The bus runs every hour (during the summer) into Mahon Bus Station, from where you can get a bus to most of the island. The airport of Mahon is around 15 minutes' straightforward journey by car. Car hire not essential if you just wish to chill out by the pool or on Calan Porter beach - the resort has most amenities. Otherwise, hire a car and explore this little island and its dozens of beautiful beaches and unspoilt countryside!


Sant Climent - lovely little spanish village - 7 minutes drive. Fantastic jazz nights held at the "Casino" - spanish bar/ restaurant on the main street of Sant Climent.

Airport - 15 minutes drive.

Alaior - typical traditional spanish town - 20 mins' drive.

Ciutadella - second largest town at other end of island - 1 hour's drive

Canutells - lovely bay with cafe on the cliff overlooking it - 12 mins

Poligono - industrial estate with large supermarkets - 15 mins

Mahon - & the Port - 20 mins

Within easy reach of resort centre with all amenities. Many bars, restaurants serving all types of food, cafes, cocktail bar, supermarkets, night club, car hire, bureaux de change, The most famous night club on the Island "The Caves" is perched on the end of the cliffs at Cala En Porter; disco there 'til 5 am, foam parties, etc, or for those who prefer a more sedate pace of life, visit and have a coffee during the day and admire the spectacular view from the cliff over the ocean. Visit friendly owners Manoli and Eduardo at the long established "Aloha" cocktail bar with its huge range of exotic cocktails and live entertainment, tribute bands, etc. There is also a hairdresser and pharmacy in the centre of the resort, plus Red Cross centre, bus stop, taxi rank.

Booking Notes:
Bookings will be "held" for a few days until flights confirmed. Next step is a deposit of £100 is required to secure the booking, with the balance due 4 weeks before the date of your holiday. Midweek bookings are accommodated where possible. Unless otherwise agreed, access to the villa, is normally 2.00 pm on the day of arrival, with vacation at 10.00 am on the day of departure.

Changeover Day:
Please contact owner for details. However, we try to be flexible about changeover days as we are aware from experience that midweek flights are often cheaper and that the school holidays are an expensive time to go away.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Additional persons £30 per week each. Winter lets at competitive prices available on request, including discount for lets of more than two weeks duration.

Non-refundable deposit of £100 required at the time of booking. Balance of booking amount due 4 weeks before date of booking.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.

Complete privacy - the villa has a large, secluded garden and pool area and, being away from the main hub of the resort, is peaceful, with a tranquil atmosphere. Having said that, the distance to the resort centre and Calan Porter's gorgeous bay is literally two minutes away by car - 10 minutes' walk (or 15 minutes to the beach) , so that bars, restaurants, supermarkets, etc, are easily accessible when needed. Another advantage is that the travelling time by car from the airport is only 15 minutes - it's a really easy and straightforward route.

  • Notes on accommodation: Electric ceiling fans in all rooms. Outside shower to pool area. Pool is not fenced off so small children should be supervised at all times. Outside: The large garden has mature trees and shrubs and extensive patio area, both to the front and rear of the villa. The rear patio can also be reached through French doors from bedroom 2. There are two private driveways with parking for 3 cars. The private swimming pool, for use by guests only, measures 8x4m, with steps at the shallow end. The pool is around 2 metres at its deepest point. The pool area contains a cold water shower, sunbeds, tables and chairs. Sun umbrellas are housed in the large sun porch adjacent to the pool, which also contains a fridge with ice box and conservatory chairs. There is a brick built barbecue to the rear of the villa. Washing line to rear of villa. Cleaning / Towels / Linen : Rental prices include: bedlinen, tea towels, bath & hand towels -(changed weekly), plus cleaning at end of rental period. Travel cot and high chair. Guests should bring their own beach towels. Other: Loggia/sun porch with extra chairs, fridge freezer for drinks, washing line. Washing machine housed to rear of villa.
