Farmhouse in San Venanzo, Nr. Monte San Martino, Le Marche - Ideal Location for Total Relaxation

Nestled in the hills of Le Marche, Casa San Venanzo is the ideal holiday hideaway. This magnificent and lovingly restored home compliments its beautiful surroundings perfectly. From its 5 bedrooms to its extensive garden no attention to detail has been spared. The property was completely rebuilt using traditional, local materials and the interior boasts an array of modern appliances and high quality furnishings. Outside there is a large heated private swimming pool (30ftx12ft) that enjoys views of the landscaped garden and stunning countryside. There is also a covered terrace with dining for 10 people and occasional seating. The panoramic vista takes in the neighbouring hill top villages, the nearest being Monte San Martino, just 5 minutes away. Sarnarno is 15-20 minutes away and is home to a great selection of supermarkets, restaurants, cafes, local shops and a weekly market. Porto San Giorgio beach is about an hours drive away and the Sibillini mountains provide skiing in the Winter.

About the Owner

More than 10 years ago we set about finding a renovation project and following a trip to Le Marche we fell in love with the area instantly. We arranged to meet a local builder who took us to Casa San Venanzo, which was then just a tumble down wreck but we knew it was just perfect for our holiday retreat. Restoration work started in 2005 and our first guests arrived in the Summer of 2009. We've spent a long time to get everything just right – the house has been completely rebuilt using traditional, local materials and inside we have sourced high quality furnishings and the best modern appliances.

Casa San Venanzo is a little piece of paradise which we have been happily visiting for the past six years. It is the perfect place to completely relax. The views are sublime and every time we leave we can't wait to return.

A beautiful villa in a spectacular setting!

What a wonderful villa. The views are absolutely breathtaking and the interior of the villa doesn't disappoint either. All the bedrooms are spacious and beautifully designed. The bathrooms and kitchen all modern and well fitted. The kitchen has everything you might need. A real home from home. We had 2 families of 4 in our party and there was plenty of room for everyone.

The area is rural and so peaceful but Monte San Martino is just a few minutes drive away with a small but well stocked convenience store, a pharmacy, restaurant and bar it has everything you need. We had a fantastic time. There is nowhere in the surrounding area that is not beautiful or breathtaking. We are totally in love with Casa San Venanzo and the surrounding area.

Nearest Airport : Ancona at 100 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Porto san Giorgio at 42 Kilometres Car: necessary


The Adriatic coast is approximately 1 hours drive East - lovely sandy beaches with an abundance of restaurants and bars.


Ancona airport is approximately 1.5 hours drive to Casa San Venanzo and car hire is available and essential.


The house is located in San Venanzo, a hamlet consisting of a church, farms and a few houses. The nearest village is Monte San Martino about a 10 minute drive away, where there is a small supermarket, chemist, bars and a restaurant. Sarnano is 20 minutes drive away where there are 2 supermarkets, several restaurants, cafes and a weekly market.
