I saw the Cape Verde Islands on A Place In The Sun, at the beginning of 2005 and thought what a great place to buy a Holiday home as it has a great climate and is the nearest place to England that is like the Caribbean

I am married with two teenage daughters who love going out there with us at every opportunity.

The beach is located right outside the front gate which has facilities for kite surfing, sunbathing, beach club, swimming. The beach is a mile long so no problems of over crowding.

Travel:

Sal Airport is 08 miles away with a good road link as there are few cars on the Island,Car Hire is not essential as there is a good taxi service and a local bus service to the next town.

Distances:

You are right on the Edge of Town.There is the Blue lagoon to sea at a distance of 10 miles away.There is an old Volcano which has been used for collecting Salt which is 10 miles away. The next Town of Espargos is also 10 miles away.

Further Details:

There is a shop near by, the local bakery is a couple of streets away. Restaurants, bars, supermarkets and bank are all within walking distance of the apartment. The kite surfing beach is right outside the apartment. There is jet skiing on the next beach.

Spacious apartment with nice beach view

The apartment was great, bigger in fact than we had imagined. PIckup from the airport went smoothly. The flat was nice and clean and has all you need. You have to pay for wifi and it is expensive but you can in fact pick up the wifi from the restaurant below if you are on the balcony. It is no more than ten minutes walk into town and there is a nice restaurant just opposite which became our local. We also enjoyed eating at Angela's further along the beach. They were doing work to the beach while we were there so the part directly in front of the flat will be nicer. Apart from the fantastic beaches there is not a great deal to do on the island compared to the others but we enjoyed some nice beach walks. The pool was lovely and clean but pretty cold. We would recommend the flat

Great location

Apartment close to the centre but just out of the busy part. Beautiful view from the balcony, looking over the sea. In front of the complex is a restaurant on the beach that offers good food, a supermarket is just around the corner. The pool is a bit cold but we visited in the coldest month of the year (January). The owner was very helpful
