Both I and Leona stay away quite frequently (more work than leisure) so accommodation needs to be good to impress. We were very satisfied with the apartment at Maxwell Beach which was comfortable, well furnished, clean and importantly felt safe. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay.
Renae and the security gentleman were both very helpful and attentive when we needed their help.
The south coast location was good - as you know I've stayed on the west coast for the last few years. It was better to be away from the noise of Lawrence Gap and Oistins, but both within easy reach.
I'd have no hesitation in recommending the apartment to others, in fact I already have!
The car worked out well - thanks for setting that up for us.
Only thing to do now is start saving for the next trip!

No need to walk any distance to the beach. It's right outside your door and the sand is almost white and the sea an incredible turquoise and safe for swimming. There are many other beaches within easy walking distance too so you can enjoy a different beach every day if you want.
The Grantley Adams International Airport (BGI) is about 15 minutes drive from the property and the main city/shopping (Bridgetown) center is about the same distance in the opposite direction.
While not essential, I highly recommend hiring a car, Top Class Car Rentals is great, because there is so much to see and do in Barbados and the road network and signage is very good and the locals helpful if you get lost. Best way for an adventure.
Oistins Village is 5mins walk away and St. Lawrence Gap is 5mins drive. The main city Bridgetown is 15-20mins drive but there are many shopping, dining and entertainment options all along the South coast.
Oistins Village which hosts the well known and extremely popular street party, with great local food, drinks and music every Friday is only 5 mins walk. There is also a bank, supermarket, gas station and fast food restaurant in Oistins. St. Lawrence Gap which is a popular street full of dining, drinking and party options is 5 mins drive away as well.

- Notes on accommodation: The property has an elevator and is very secure; all entry controlled by secure keypad. The apartment has air-conditioning and ceiling fans. It is suitable for children. Outside: The building is right on the beach and is fronted by well maintained beachfront gardens where you can relax on the lawn or next to the amply sized pool or directly on the beach/sand right in front of the gardens. Pool lounges are provided and there are two poolside umbrellas. Utility Room: Washing Machine, Dryer, Iron and Ironing Board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linens provided Housekeeping daily (half day) except weekends and public holidays
