The villa is located in a quiet residential area named 'Casa de Campo', a well established private estate in the countryside. Located between the busy market town of Palafrugell and the historic hilltop village of Begur, the location gives easy access to the beautiful beaches of Tamariu, LLafranc, Aiguablava, Sa Riera and Sa tuna, which are all a short drive away (10 mins). The villa is ideally situated to explore the historic inland villages and towns such as Pals, Peratallada and Monells. The area offers great opportunities for swimming, walking, diving, sailing, cycling and golf. Built on 2 levels, the master bedroom suite is at 1st floor level with access to a large roof terrace. The remaining accommodation is at ground floor level, without internal steps. The spacious, high ceiling, living/dining area leads onto a generous terrace area via 3 French doors. From the terrace there are steps down to the secluded, southwest facing, lawned and planted garden,& private pool (10 x 5m).

About the Owner

My wife Lesley and I have, with our children, been visiting this area since 1976. I am now retired and we enjoy visiting our villa several times a year. Our three sons are now grown up, each with families of their own and our current tally of grand children is five. It has been a pleasure over the years to have family holidays with visiting friends and relatives. The villa is so well suited to accommodate families with children. In recent years we have constructed a first floor bedroom, bathroom and terrace which provides wonderful views of the surrounding country and sea and have completed the refurbishment of the bathrooms and kitchen.

We enjoy letting the villa and have many returning guests.

Great family holiday in beautiful Begur. Danielle was terrific to deal with and her flexibility and promptness was very much appreciated. The villa has a wonderful design for multi-family vacations, well-equipped, very spacious and a short drive to gorgeous beaches and nearby villages. Biggest highlight was the private garden and tranquil setting. Would definitely recommend this villa to others.

In 1989 we returned to this area of the Costa Brava after an absence of approximately 13 years and to our delight it had hardly changed with development limited to mainly low rise dwellings and improvements to the infrastructure. We made enquiries and the agent showed us the villa, which was nearing completion, we immediately fell in love with it. We have never regretted the move and the strict local planning laws have ensured sensible development maintaining the character and beauty of the region.

Special interest holidays:

Road and off road cycling is very popular in the region. Designated route details are available at the villa and two mountain bikes are available for guests.


The nearest beach is Tamariu which is very pretty and secluded. For the energetic a cross country walk, with great views, will get you there in 30 min. By car down an unsurfaced road in 10 mins.

All of the following beaches are good with there own particular character and are accessible within a 15 min drive: Sa Riera, Sa Tuna,Aiguablava, Llafranc and Calella. These small resorts are not over developed and retain their individual charm. Palamos is a busy fishing port with a good beach.


A car is essential for your stay. Driving from the UK can be entirely on motorway from various channel ports. Sixteen hours is achievable but we prefer an overnight stop. Nearest airports are Girona (50 mins) and Barcelona (120 mins) and each are destinations for low cost airlines and have good car hire facilities.


Begur and Palafrugell are the nearest towns and each are a five minute drive. Within a driving time of 1hr you can explore the numerous ancient and historic towns and villages of the region.

Further Details:

Supermarkets, banks, cafes, restaurants, boutiques and pharmacies are all available in Begur and Palafrugell. They also have tourist offices. Palafrugall has a major market on Sunday mornings and a daily fruit, veg, meat and fish market (not Mondays). Nearby towns and villages have weekly markets, details can be obtained from the tourist office. Eating out is particularly good with a huge range of restaurants to suite every occasion and budget. We keep a box file at the villa with brochures and cards for restaurants and other attractions.

Booking Notes:
The rental price is for the villa, pool and gardens for one week. The price includes all cleaning, fuel and maintenance costs. The only extra is if pool heating is required (£12 per day). A 20% non refundable deposit is required to secure a booking. The final balance required six weeks prior to your arrival. A security deposit of £150 is added to the final balance and is refunded within 14 days of your departure, minus any costs for damage or breakages.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is Friday and the villa is available from 4pm in the afternoon. On your day of departure we request you vacate by10am to allow ample time for cleaning etc. These times and changeover day can be varied to suit clients travel arrangements.

Notes on prices:
Prices per week in UK pounds.
If pool heating is required the extra charge is £12 per day. The prices are based on full occupancy of ten people. We offer discounts for partial occupancy and longer lets in excess of two weeks. Lets for less than 7 nights can also be arranged upon request.

From the Owner

We are located on a long established private estate of approximately 70 properties. There is only one vehicle access and no through road, so the estate is very quiet. All of the properties are of individual design and the and mature gardens and generous distances between the villas ensures seclusion and privacy. The orientation of the property results in all day sunshine in the garden which has plenty of mature trees and shrubs so there is always a place to sit in the shade.

  • Notes on accommodation: To aid guests to plan their accommodation, floor plans are available in pdf format on request. Access to the front door is via steps but once inside the ground floor accommodation is all on one level. The accommodation is very flexible and ideally suited to two families at ground floor level. From the main hallway a door to the right connects via a vestibule to a double and twin bedded room and bathroom 2. A similar arrangement is provided from the main hall to the left side incorporating the shower room and wc, thus providing self contained family sleeping arrangements. This layout also benefits partial occupation with the ability to shut off each suite of bedrooms. Oil fired central heating is provided and each bedroom is equipped with an electric ceiling fan. The garage contains further storage and there are many children's toys and a table football game. Two mountain bikes are also available. Outside: The private pool is 10 x 5m and equipped with a solar cover. It is heated, which is only required outside of the high season and is available at extra cost. The pool has a shallow end with access steps for children. The pleasant secluded garden has a lawn and planted area with trees, shrubs and flowers. The generous patio is southwest facing and accessed via 3 sliding French doors from the living/dining area. The terrace has two electric sun blinds and a Weber barbecue. Two outside dining tables are provided with chairs and there are sun loungers for the garden. The garden is securely fenced. However the pool is not fenced from the garden, therefore it is essential that children are supervised at all times. Utility Room: Separate utility room with additional fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, ironing board and iron plus additional storage shelves. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The rental cost includes linen hire and all towels including beach towels. The linen is changed and the house cleaned once per week. Two travel cots are provided but not the linen. Other: Large garage accessed from the utility room via steps.
