Sunny, secure and fully air-conditioned 2 bedroom town house (both en-suite) with panoramic Mediterranean views, large balcony, downstairs terraces and a side garden, overlooking the shared and outdoor shared swimming pool. The pool is set in lovely garden with sun loungers. The complex comprises of forty units and has an underground private car park. It is located between the beautiful white Spanish village of Mijas Pueblo and bustling coastal resort of Fuengirola. Traditional Tapas bars, restaurants, shops, local museums are all within 10 minutes by car, or a regular bus service which is within few minutes walking distance from the town house. There are numerous golf courses within driving distance. Fuengirola has direct train connection to Malaga airport.

Notes on accommodation: Cots and high chairs etc, can be arranged and hired. Heated pool from April to October Outside: Balcony from lounge has table and 4 chairs and an electrically operated sun awning. Lower terrace has 4 sun loungers, table and chairs leading to the side grassed area with and access to the pool also leading to the rear terrace. The downstairs terraces can be accessed from both bedrooms. Utility Room: Large Utility area is on the lower back terrace, and has a washing machine, hot water tank, drying area and storage for cleaning materials, patio furniture and other equipment. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bed linen and towels except pool and beach towels are provided. Guests must not use apartment towels for pool or visit to the beach. Other: Large balcony has a table, 4 chairs and electrically operated sun awning. Lower terrace has 4 sun loungers, table and chairs, and leads to the side grassed area and the utility terrace at the back. It also has access door to the pool.

Perfect holiday home. Very comfortable Everything was spotlessly clean, well equipped kitchen. Beautiful views from the balcony. A very peaceful location.Hope to come back soon.

Nice spacious property but faulty doors.

Overall the property was very nice ,spacious and clean but we had problems with a faulty door leading to balcony.

I rang the person who gets the apartment ready twice and text her but she didn't reply for 11 hours so we had a very stressful first day there worried about security as we had children with us.

The next day I had managed to secure the door by fluke and Geraldine turned up at 7pm and said she and the owner was aware of the defective door and she would get it fixed but in the meantime to keep the door shut as she herself could not shut it and for us to keep shutters down and not use the balcony!

We never saw her again and when I have bought this to the attention of the owner dhiren on returning he has been very dismissive and rude by saying we had left the apartment in a mess!

The apartment was left immaculate and I can only think this was said to defect from my complaint.

We also had problems with ants getting through gaps in windows that need updating and again when I sent feedback all we got by reply was that it is common, well I'm sorry but it is not common to have ants in the bedroom when we haven't left any doors open (because we couldn't use them) or did we have food in room.

On another note it says no car needed. This is not true unless you know the area or spend a fortune on taxis as there is nothing near by.

This is our 5th time booking with owners abroad/home and away and I have never before had need to complain but to compromise on our safety is not ok dhiren.

Owner's Response: I had not responded to the review earlier on as I needed to see for myself what the problem was and also discuss the matter wth Geraldine. My wife and I have just returned back from Spain and spent time at our apartment. I can confirm that the patio door was attended to soon after the reviewing clients checked out in August. Just prior to their arrival in August, we had two different clients who had stayed at the apartment or for over a period of four weeks. Neither of them had complained about any issues with the door. The reviewing guests arrived at the apartment much earlier then what was agreed on thus denying Geraldine and opportunity to do a check on the apartment before their arrival. I believe that they tried to contact Geraldine on Sunday 20 August. She got in touch with the client as soon as she could and informed me of the problem soon after that. Appropriate advice was given to the client at the time on how to secure the apartment if they went out. She visited them at the apartment the following day, and was led to believe that they had managed to secure the patio door. No further communication was received from the client with regard to the door after that. When the clients checked out, they failed to lock the apartment properly and did not set the alarm. They also left it quite untidy. This was brought to their attention and their response was a 'rude and abusive' email. Since they checked out we had two further guests staying at the apartment for over a period eight weeks. One of the guests noted in the visitors book "our second visit here and it was wonderful! Really don't want to leave. Hope we can return in the near future.xx" We work hard to provide clean and comfortable accommodation for our guests to enjoy. From time to time we may have problems or breakdowns, but endeavour to get matters resolved at an earliest opportunity. We take the security of the apartment very seriously and have a burglar alarm system that's connected to the central monitoring station. Large majority of guests we have are returning clients who are happy with the standard of accommodations and facilities we provide, and also how we deal with any issues that may crop up during their stay. This is clearly reflected in many of the reviews we have had over the last few years.

A Home Away From Home

After the hustle bustle of CLC villas, we decided we wanted a quieter location this year, and we stumbled across El Porton...and boy, aren't we glad we did!

An absolute gem of an apartment with all you need to spend a relaxing time away from the lively Fuengirola. Being so close to Mijas Pueblo is a huge bonus too, though we managed to visit on one of the hottest days of the year - even the donkey's didn't want to stand out in the sun.

Dhiren has equipped his house with everything you need for you holiday, nothing is left out - plenty towels, plenty storage space and perhaps the best aspect, is the terrace which has the sun for the entire day. The pool is deceptively larger than the photos make out, and we were able to enjoy the terrace sun whilst the kids went for their swims.

Bliss.

If you don't book this apartment, then you're making a HUGE mistake - top quality, brilliant price - a holiday we will never forget !

Thanks Dhiren - we'll definitely be back :)

Great wee find

We had a lovely weeks stay at this beautiful apartment. Very clean comfortable and relaxing. The complex was very quiet and safe which was a bonus. You do need a car thou. Mijas and Fuengerola just 5 mins away. Where there are great shops, cafés, beaches and restaurant. We would love to return again same time next year.

Lovely holiday home

Dear Dhiren and Family

We had a really lovely stay at your beautiful home!

Everything is available from juice maker to dishwasher, vacuum cleaner, enough crockery, etc.

Many times we sat outside on the terrace at the living room. Ideal with the sun screen, because we have had a lot of very warm days and evenings.

What a very beautiful view, in daytime and in the evening when the lights go on in Fuengirola.

The pool is large and clean and quiet even in high season.

We have made many trips ​​to for example Rhonda, Malaga, Fuengirola, Marbella and the famous Puerto Banus, Mijas and not to forget the beautiful nature at the Guadalhorce basin and the ravin El Chorro.

We have been in Spain for 7 years in holiday apartments and villas and we find your home one off our favorites houses!

Fabulous accommodation, great complex

I just wanted to thank you for the use of your villa.It was perfect for us in many ways.The villa was immaculate,spacious and well-equipped.The fact that both bedrooms were en-suite and air conditioned made a massive difference to us in terms of comfort and convenience compared to similar accommodation we have stayed in.The position of the villa was perfect for us to watch our children (13 and 11) in the pool if they fancied a quick dip.The outside areas were brilliant at all times of the day.We could relax in the sun or read in the shade.We commented on the fact that we have never sat on a balcony so much doing absolutely nothing!The pool itself was a good size, well-maintained, always clean and mostly quiet (much to our surprise).The complex in general was well-maintained and the underground car park was a bonus.The flexibility with the changeover really made a difference as we had a late flight home (appreciate that this is not always possible). The caretaker, Geraldine, kept in touch by text.It was good to know that there was somebody available if required.The complex was in a great position for Mijas Pueblo and we spent many evenings there (max 5 mins drive).We also visited Puerto Banus(25-30 mins drive),then inland to Granada(1 1/2 hours).There are two Water parks nearby.We went to the one 15 minutes drive away in Torrelominos (slightly further than the one near Fuengirola). I can't praise this accommodation enough and we are already trying to work out when we can return.Thank-you.

Coast/Beach:

Costa del Sol is full of beaches along its coastline and can be explored easily by car hire or public transport. A must to try are the BBQ Sardines from the beach bars and restaurants along the beach fronts. Also there are beautiful Marinas along the coast; the most local are Benalmádena, Marbella and very famous Puerto Banus with it’s designer boutiques. Other places of interest within driving distance include Malaga, and Gibraltar, and inland Seville, Rhonda and Nerja.

Travel:

Malaga is the nearest airport only being approx 20 mins.

Excellent services with public transport being cheap and clean along the coast and direct from Fuengirola to Mijas Pueblo with the bus stop being 20 mtr up or down the road from the complex. Local taxis are also easily available, but my advice is to ask the price from A-B before getting in or on ordering.

Distances:

Mijas Pueblo (Village) 2-3km. Fuengirola 4km. Benalmádena 20-25 mins. La Cala 14-15km. Marbella and Puerto Banus can be between 20-35min depending if the coast road is taken or the Toll road (assuming the use of a car). Malaga 30 mins by car, or a direct train from Fuengirola that would take about 40 minutes

Gibraltar approx 100km or one hour. Tangiers in Morroco, and North africa can be reached by ferry from Costa del Sol and Gibraltar.

We will arrange to leave the keys in the key safe at the apartment. All additional information and secutity details will be sent prior to arrival.


Changeover Day:
Changeover days are flexible. Entry into the property can be no later than 10pm unless otherwise arranged; a surcharge may apply. Departure is no later than 12 noon unless otherwise arranged.
All breakages must be reported to the care taker and paid for before checking out.
We can on occasions take an additional 5th person, but additional supplement would be payable at the time of booking.
Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.
Any additional days would be charged on pro rata basis.
Monthly lets can be discussed at a discounted price.
