Villa in Eoux, Nr. Aurignac, Haute Garonne, Midi Pyrenees - Tranquil location with Mountain Views

The house sits on the crest of a hill, surrounded by rolling countryside and woodland, it faces south towards spectacular views of the Pyrenees. We bought the house 10 years ago and have lovingly and painstakingly restoring it, we hope it will be appreciated for it's special location and beauty. It is a family home and as such has most things you want on holiday. The interior is comfortably furnished to a high but simple finish. There is a very large kitchen diner, opening onto a west facing terrace, a cosy sitting room, a double en-suite, bunk room and family bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs are 3 huge bedrooms, with an en-suite in one and a shared bathroom for the other two.

The views of the Pyrenees are spectacular.

About Victoria Bate

We are an English family, who live in Hertfordshire. We bought Le Reve 13 years ago as a complete wreck, see photo! It took 6 years (and a few nervous breakdowns)!

to renovate, with (we think) wonderful results. We have tried to make Le Reve, beautiful but not precious. User friendly, very cosy and comfortable, with everything you need, but not too much excess. We like to think of it as simple, but elegant. It's a very special place for us, and we hope it charms you in the same way. We have been letting for six years now and have had lots of lovely feedback. 4 lots of people have been back twice, and one family have just booked in for their third visit.

Why Victoria Bate chose Eoux

We bought in this area because my very good friend lives in the village of Alan, 10 minutes away. Visiting her we came to love the area, and bought Le Reve, after many holidays, and many house viewings! My friend, Mme Lavinska lives at the Palais des Eveques, in Alan, and the Palais is open to the public, Saturday and Sunday afternoons through the summer, with an art exhibition.

What makes this farmhouse unique

We revel in the peace, we love just being there, swimming, playing tennis, more swimming, preparing lovely lunches, playing boule out the front, drinks and nibbles on the terrace, watching the mountains. It's a completely different pace of life and we love getting into a slower pace for a week or two.

Notes:
Notes on accommodation: The climate at the house has always been temperate, and the pool a delight when it's hot. Ceiling fans (although we've never used them) woodburners for chilly evenings. Outside: 12m x 6m saline water pool, terrace and pergola the by pool. BBQ. Sun loungers, and mattresses. Two covered terraces by house, for shaded dining. There are about 3 acres of rustic garden laid mainly to grass and fruit trees. There is a badminton set and boule. Tennis rackets. Utility Room: Washing machine, hoover, ironing board and iron, clothes dryer. Washing line outside, under the east terrace. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All cotton bedding, towels and pool towels included, linen change for two week bookings. Cleaning and maid can be arranged. Other: There are plenty of games, jigsaws, books, DVDs, music etc maps and information about the surrounding area, villages, markets, things to do.

Il Colletto

We stayed in the house for five days during June 2014. The house is absolutely beautiful equipped with everything you would need. The pool is huge with a spectacular view of the surrounding towns and the ocean. We spend most of our time by the pool and in the games which which is a lot of fun. The close by towns are lovely with some delicious food from great local restaurants. We would high recommend Il Colletto and plan to go again next year.

Beautiful villa + perfect place to relax

I came to stay there with my boyfriend's family for a week last summer and we had the most amazing time. The villa is located amongst beautiful French countryside, has a big swimming pool and anything you need to truly relax and enjoy your holiday. You can really tell that the owners thought through every detail, making sure that all bedrooms are comfortable and stylish and that there is plenty of space for any other activities. The villa also has a spacious kitchen, living room and outside patio - where we (group of 10) spent a lot of lovely evenings drinking wine and enjoying fresh produce from the markets nearby.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay, this villa is a real find!

A real dream

It is not possible to be disappointed by anything in this really dream home . Everything has been thought through carefully by the owners who love to use it as their own home. each bedroom is a delight and has its own bathroom, the large kitchen is practical and convivial, the swimming pool, is the centre of family life, and the view of the Pyrenees is stunning!!!

The Pyrenees are about a one hour drive away and provide a huge range of activities year round. In Winter there is the full range of winter sports, and during the Spring and Summer there is mountain biking, walking, white water rafting, kayaking and paragliding.

50 minutes from Toulouse airport

90 minutes from Pau and Carcassone Airports
