Two impeccable one bedroom apartments in quiet, peaceful complex in the prestigious area of Cerro do Malpique. Surrounded by lush landscaped gardens the complex boasts a cascade of two pools with a children's pool. In addition to the complex facilities and for a fee, guests are also able to enjoy the facilities at the adjacent 4 Star Cerro Mar ApartHotel which include outdoor & indoor pools, gym, tennis courts, spa, bowling alley, restaurant & bar. Furnished to a high standard, the apartments have one double room and a double sofa bed in the lounge together with a modern kitchen with all mod cons. Just a short walk from the apartment is the delightful and beautiful Old Town with a variety of restaurants, cafes and bars with a friendly lively atmosphere. A little further is the Fisherman's beach and miles of golden sandy beaches. The Algarve is renowned for its golf courses, Salgados is only a short drive away and Vilamoura is a 15 minute drive.

Lovely Apartment

We have just returned from this apartment. Cannot fault it in anyway. The apartment was spotlessly clean and it has everything you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, it was such a lovely place to come back to at the end of the day. We didn't use the pool at the apartments preferring the beach but we did go over to the hotel one afternoon to relax on their terrace. The staff at the hotel were friendly and helped us with directions, bus times and taxis. The local Aldi was not too far away to carry your supplies back. The main square is a short walk away but it is down the hill and approximately 98 steps, this is fine going down but can be a bit of a struggle going back up! However taxis are plentiful and reasonably cheap, and we did choose to do this on a couple of occasions. Would not hesitate to recommend this apartment. Would like to thank Dee for her help and prompt communications and for all the information we received about the apartment and the local area, which was very helpful. She also provided contacts to arrange the airport transfers which again was prompt and transfers went very smoothly.

Gorgeous modern apartment.

My partner and I have just returned from a lovely stay at this great apartment. It has everything you'll need for a comfortable, quiet and secure holiday. Upon our earlier than check-in time arrival we were met immediately and taken to our apartment to leave our cases in while they hurried up getting everything ready for us and were given all the directions needed, to the beach, the town, to Aldi etc..All of which were minutes walk away.. a fantastic base for everything. The apartment was immaculate as was the surrounding pool areas and gardens. We didn't use the hotel facilities but did call in to ask for assistance organizing our airport transfer pick up time, the receptionist was more than helpful in contacting the company and printing off the details for us.

I would not hesitate in booking here again.!!

Fantastic Apartment

Just got back from an amazing stay at 203 Cerro Mar. Lovely clean and spacious apartment with everything you'll need to feel just like you are at home!! Perfect as we got to use all the facilities of the hotel that is literally right across the road. Tiny little road that separates the apartments from the hotel reception. Made use of their sauna, hot tub, steam room and gym!! There is a lidl and Aldi within 10mins walk and the town is down some 90 odd steps that take like 5 mins to do. Deidre was friendly to deal with and answered all my questions very quickly. She also gave me details of a company to use for transfers to the apartment which worked out very easily and make the whole trip effortless. Will book again when I'm next going to Portugal!! Thanks for a brilliant holiday!!

Lovely apartment

Had a 10 day holiday in apartment 203. Lovely spacious clean apartment with everything needed to make your stay enjoyable. Quiet location. Need to go to the Old Town area for restaurants, shops and bars and there are some 96 steps and steep bank to be negotiated to the Old Town but we managed it, we are both 69 years old. Had some lovely meals in the evening after catering for ourselves during the day. There is a Lidel and Aldi within 10-15 minutes walk away up bank and through a car park, there is a walk way through the side of Aldi so that you don't need to go down the hill and up again on the main road. My only comment is that we didn't get a change of linen or towels during our stay, which I had expected. Other than that (and the steps) thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. The owners were very easy and friendly to deal with and there is a local number to contact should you have any problems.

Great Location

Had a lovely time at the apartment which provided everything we could possibly need including beach towels which was an added bonus when only taking hand luggage.

In less than 5 minutes you are in the centre of the old town and the beach about a minute more.The walk is via some steep steps but these didn't prove a problem for us and wouldn't for any able bodied person. There is a small pool at the apartments but you can also use the bigger pool at Cerro Gardens across the road where there is also somewhere to get food & drinks

Communication with Deirdre prior to our holiday was immediate, easy and very friendly.

It was also useful that Deirdre was able to recommend Billy the taxi driver who proved helpful and reliable.

We had a lovely time and would be happy to return to this apartment.

Facilities in Apartment excellent, all modern and kept to a very high standard. We used the Cerro Gardens pool area as it was bigger and had more of the sun all day. Used the Gym which was a nice surprise. Steps are hard but not a killer, we used to do them 3/4 times a day and not a problem. all in all a great apartment and excellent location

Location

From the Owner

We love the algarve and were fortunate to find one of the last and few developments in the Old Town of Albufeira. Its location gives easy walking access to the old town centre and fisherman's beach. Located above the old town centre means that there are few tourists and only a few apartment complexes so is quite and ideal for those wanting a quieter holiday but easy access to Albufeira and its ammenities.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Faro at 27 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Fishermans Beach at 0.5 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Special interest holidays:

Zoo marine. Aqualand. Marina with boat trips and dolphin watching. Local weekly market.

Coast/Beach:

The Algarve has over 100 miles of golden sandy beaches, most of which are patrolled by lifeguards during the summer. The beaches are free to use apart from a small charge for the hire of loungers and umbrellas. Nearby restaurants, cafes and bars offer excellent local and cosmopolitan food. The nearest beach is only a short walk through the Old Town - Fisherman's beach - with many other beaches within walking distance. The colourful and lively marina is close by where sea cruises can be booked.

Travel:

Faro is the nearest airport away, approx 40km and only 30 mins drive. Car hire, taxis and airport transfers are available at the airport. As the apartment is so centrally located, having a car is not essential. There is a local bus service which is very efficient and reliable, a taxi from the Old Town back to the apartment or visa versa would be in the region of 4 euros, however this is only a 5 minute walk.

Further Details:

The Old Town has everything you could need, chemist, ATM, restaurants, cafes, bars, supermarkets etc. 10 minutes drive inland takes you to larger shopping malls, with superstores.

In the complex, there is a tiered swimming pool and secure underground parking. With only 74 apartments and mostly owned by Portugese nationals the apartments are much quieter than others in the area. Opposite is the Cerro Mar ApartHotel with Pools, tennis courts, bowling alley and spar which are available for a small charge. In addition, the premises are patrolled nightly to ensure 100% security and peace and quiet. Located above the beautiful old town affords stunning views of the ocean and the Old Town.
