House in Reydon, Nr. Southwold, Suffolk - Secluded Location only 15 Minutes Stroll to the Beach

We are delighted to offer our peaceful, hidden hideaway, very close to the bustling town of Southwold and all its amenities. Beulah is set in approximately three quarters of an acre of mature woodland garden and is completely private. It also boasts a full size trampoline with safety net and a children’s tree swing and slide. A stay at Beulah offers the best of both worlds - as either an exceptionally comfortable base for a holiday or as a convenient retreat for a short break at any time of the year. The village of Reydon is divided from Southwold by Buss Creek, a narrow stretch of water, where the fishing boats (buses) of long ago used to tie up. A mere 15 minute stroll from the centre of Southwold, and with two-well stocked village stores and an excellent Adnams pub/restaurant at the bottom of the driveway, there is no need to use the car at all if you don’t wish to.

Ideal family holiday location

This extended bungalow was perfect for our family break.

Our party was five adults and four small people ,two aged six and two four. The large wrap round garden with a swing,climbing frame, trampoline and zip wire proved a big hit with the kids. The house is well appointed and spacious. The lounge is comfy , the bedrooms are good and the conservatory is nice for chilling and as a nine person dining area. We ate in most nights and the only criticism from the cooks is that the hob needs attention as one ring didn't seem to work? The location is secluded but quite close to Southwold which was new to us and a nice traditional seaside town. We felt very comfortable with the size of the property which allowed adults to relax and children to play.

Everyone voted our visit a hit so I've booked again for this year, looking forward to it.

My husband's father was born in Southwold and so as children he and his brothers visited their grandparents and fell in love with the beaches. His parents soon bought a house and the brothers spent every school holiday enjoying all Southwold had to offer ... this is where they learn't to crab and still do now in their 40s with their own children!

Holidays are available for 7 nights commencing on Fridays. Short breaks are available throughout the year excluding the school holidays, Christmas and New Year periods. Changeover Day:
We offer Friday to Friday lets. Arrival time is 4pm and departure time is 10am.

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds.

Weekend short breaks are available please email me for price.
Mid week short breaks are available, please email me for rate. Minimum three nights for short breaks. Excludes half terms, school Easter and Summer holidays, Christmas and New Year week.

From the Owner

Beulah's garden originally stretched the whole length of the lane but part of it was sold off to build the two houses which one is owned by my in-laws. We fell in love with he space in the house as well as the garden and the peace and quiet it offers. We often see peacocks and mun-jacks walking through the garden. We wanted a house that was close to our family and a space that our young boys could explore, feel independent and safe and Beulah ticks all those boxes for us.

Tourist information, books, games, playing cards, hairdryer in master bedroom, iron, torch, highchair, travel cot (no linen provided for travel cot) and tea-towels all provided. Wood burning fire (the first basket of logs will be provided free of charge) and oil fired central heating throughout. One well-behaved dog welcome. Complimentary bottle of wine provided for your arrival. Outside: Beautiful and very large enclosed private garden with woodland area, lawn, flowerbeds, patio areas with table, chairs and barbeque.
