Traditional Villa in peaceful location with outstanding views and private pool

Overview

Property

Updated: 17-Nov-2016
Surrounded by 2 acres of wooded garden the villa provides a tranquil setting for that perfect relaxing holiday. Good internet connection and British TV

'Timberlake' is a typical French villa and the ideal holiday home in which to relax or explore the diversity of the surrounding area - from mountains to the sea. Traditionally built it provides a cool retreat. The large, well maintained private swimming pool boasts a modern 'salt water purification system' alleviating the need for added chlorine. The pool with its sun loungers and parasols is for your sole use. It is bathed in sunshine from early morning until evening. The underwater projector lights create the perfect ambience for an evening swim. Shaded terraces enable you to take in the splendid scenery or read whilst enjoying a cold drink. The two acres of unspoilt gardens and woodlands are home to a variety of wild flowers, herbs, butterflies, and wildlife to be appreciated and respected. 10 miles from the A8 autoroute it is easily accessible from any direction. The nearest airport is Nice Cote D'Azur and the route to the villa takes you across the beautiful lake of St. Cassien.

The local fresh produce is first class. There are supermarkets, high quality bakers, greengrocers and butchers, cafes, restaurants (French, Italian, Asian and Mexican) bars/tabacs, craft and gift shops all within 5 minutes drive. Mid week and Saturday markets are held throughout summer, along with various art and musical events. St Tropez, Monte Carlo, Monaco and Italy are places well worth visiting either by train or car. Boat trips from Cannes and Mandelieu will take you to the islands.

Our favourite place so far, full of rustic charm

  • 5 of 5

When we all arrived at the property we were struck by the tranquillity and beauty of the place. Our own amazing pool, and a spacious ,cool house, full of French charm. I was so happy when I arrived that I cried....and then on leaving I cried with sadness. It was as though we had left the world behind and were free at last....and it was a wrench to leave this little piece of heaven behind.

We usually never cook on holiday, but here we had a big kitchen diner, and BBQ area outside, and it was a pleasure just to stay in and cook or have a BBQ. It felt like a home, not a holiday home. The views were just gorgeous, and there were plenty of comfy sun beds and outdoor furniture to relax on and admire it. We will be going back for sure. It is to date our favourite place to stay.

Great location, charming, rustic, typically French

  • 5 of 5

A small misgiving as we turned off at the junction towards Tourette and the small road that took us up a winding hill towards Timberlake, the turnoff was not well signposted and the road went around some industrial buildings. However, arriving at Timberlake we very soon lost any trepidation we may have had.

The property is charmingly rustic and very typically French, just what we wanted. It is also very spacious with lots of clean bedding and towels. The whole place was very clean and a bottle of local wine was awaiting our arrival.

The pool is amazing, big enough to swim actual pool lengths that make a difference!! It was also exceptionally clean, also has a pool alarm, which was vital as we had our tiny granddaughter with us.

Six adults and a one year old stayed very happily at the property for two weeks, sleeping very well as the property is cool in the evenings because of it's location.

Supermarkets and villages are a short drive from the property and are abundant.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we are returning for two weeks in August 2015, highly recommend if you want to stay typically French, sun, food, wine and peace.

Superb setting. Amazing views, lovely country vil

  • 5 of 5

We stay here every year and have thoroughly loved it a gorgeous country villa. Everything was as expected and is always very clean. All the rooms are of a great size and the housekeeper is on hand to solve any problems if necessary. The pool is one of the best we have experienced and most of our holiday was spent chilling out around it or under the terrace with a glass of rose!

You won't be disappointed. Money well spent and we'll continue to visit as long as we can.

Lovely Rustic Property

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at Timberlake with a group of friends for 10 days, the villa was clean and well presented, all the rooms were a good size and well equipped. The swimming pool was a welcome addition on the long, hot days. We spent most of our days at the villa and our evenings just relaxing outside enjoying a BBQ and a glass of wine! There are restaurants and shops a short drive away and Fayence is a lovely place to visit, it is unspoilt and you can have a coffee or a meal in any of the local restaurants. Another great place to visit is the Verdon Gorge with its breathtaking views! We have stayed twice at Timberlake over the passed three years and would love to visit again, we would have not hesitation in recommending a stay to our friends and family!

Lovely Rustic French Villa

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic stay at Timberlake. We stayed for 10 days, with a group of friends and we spent most of our time at the Villa. Timberlake is in Rustic French style and it was clean and well presented, the outdoor swimming pool was a welcome addition on the long, hot days! The property was well equipped with everything we needed. The bedrooms and bathrooms were all clean and tidy. We spent the evenings outdoors at the BBQ with a glass or two of vino! There are plenty of restaurants and shops within a short driving distance. Fayence is a lovely place to visit, it is traditional and unspoilt by modernisation. Another good place to visit is the Verdon Gorge with its breathtaking views! We would have no hesitation in recommending this property to friends or family!
