Apartment in Tavira, Eastern Algarve, Portugal - Located In Charming Country Estate
2 bedroom beautiful apartment on second floor of 3 storey building with ample storage space, bathroom/lounge/diner and fully equipped kitchen. The furnished patio overlooks 2 beautiful pools and landscaped gardens for alfresco dining. Children are very welcome with children's playground and tennis courts on site. Guests may use swimming pool facilities and sun loungers free of charge. There is a restaurant serving excellent food at good prices. The bar has pool table and darts and a well stocked large supermarket is also on site. The apartment is located within walking distance of the old Roman bridge in the center of Tavira. It is an ideal place to stay to explore the beautiful beaches, with water sports and golf courses nearby. The nearest 18 hole golf course is 1.5km called Benamor Golf. Tavira is 30 mins drive from Faro airport and the aqua parks can be reached within an hour. It is easy to loose time in Tavira, relax and enjoy a wonderful holiday. A little piece of heaven.

We live in Dublin with our 3 children and 6 year old poodle Harvey. My Husband and myself both work in the city. We fell in love with the apartment and the complex the first time we saw it. It just feels like a peace of Heaven when you just want time to chill out and relax.

The apartment was very well equipped, with plenty of wardrobe space, large roomy bedrooms and a comfy lounge.
I must say it is one of the largest and best equipped apartments we have stayed in thank you Jackie and Lee.

We found the apartment very clean and tidy!! We were a little cold but thankfully found spare blankets. The sink in the bathroom became blocked luckily it was the day before we left. The taxi numbers we found in the drawer didn't work think they need updating. The day we left we were asked to leave the key at reception" but unfortunately it didn't open until 10am and we were leaving at 7.30!! Fortunately I found opening and managed to push the key through with a note explaining. Apart from these small incidents it was enjoyable. I think more information is needed in the welcome pack on plumbers and keys. Ps I also had to buy sink unblock gel and a plunger.

Activity and Interests
The beach of Ilha de Tavira is reached by a ferryboat from Tavira riverside which is a 5 mins drive, 15 mins walk from the apartment. The delightful short boat trip across the lagoon from the harbour takes about 10 mins. There are miles of beautiful white sandy beaches with many small restaurants serving delicious food. There are pedal boats for hire and water sports available, football goal posts and volleyball nets - something for everyone.
Nearest airport Faro 30kms. Car hire is recommended but not essential. Taxi from airport to apartment 13 euros per person. Shuttle bus also available.
Tavira nearest town 2.0kms, nearest beach 2.5kms, nearest restaurant and bar 50mtrs, supermarket 500mtrs, children's playground 500mtrs, train station 4kms, Spain 28kms, aqua park and Zoo marine water parks 50 min drive and horse riding 10 mins drive.
The newly opened Grand Plaza shopping center is just a 5 mins stroll from the apartment. For shoe lovers there is some wonderful shoe shops in Tavira. Tavira town is still a working fishing port and considered to be the most elegant and most beautiful town on the Algarve. There is plenty of little pavement cafes and restaurants, many along the banks of the palm lined river, offering cheap but delicious food. There is a daily market selling local produce, fruit and veg, meat and fish all fresh and inexpensive. You will find lots of small shops as you wander round the beautiful cobble lock paths in the town, or relax in the shade in the little park next to the river where local people gather to pass the time of day.

“We enjoy a choice of four swimmimg pools, two of which our balcony overlooks, so we can see the children when playing in the pool. If we don't feel like going into town in the evening we have a beautiful restaurant on site. The beautiful gran plaza shopping center is just 5 mins stroll down the road. Also a very well stocked supermarket on site. The reception is located on site and have very friendly helpful staff if you should require their help during your stay. Overall it is a very relaxing comfortable property. A little piece of heaven.”

There is double glazing with mosquito netting making it ideal for both summer and winter stays. There is a fire extinguisher and fire blanket in the apartment. There is no gas installations in this building. There is a 32inch flat screen TV and DVD player and a small collection of DVD. There is also a play station 2 console with large selection of games with a separate TV in the Bedroom. There is also a digital safety box located in the apt, for you to store your valuables to give you a peace of mind. Outside: The apartment is surrounded by landscaped gardens, with a beautiful display of colourful flowers all year round. The furnished patio area overlooks a wonderful L shaped pool surrounded by banana trees. The swimming pool is a shared pool, with outside showers bathrooms kept meticiously clean. Bicycle hire is also available within the complex. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen included,( not beach towels). The appartment is cleaned once weekly.
