Fabulous place to stay in Andalucia
We loved our stay at the Molino del Carmen and would definitely come again! We stayed in two apartments near the pool and they were beautifully decorated and well equipped. The pool was wonderful and with 5 children in tow this was welcomed! The Molino is right in the centre of town and everything is easy to get to. Although we stayed at the Molino much of the time we did a few easy to reach day trips to the beach (40 minutes), Ronda (50 minutes) and a local river to go swimming (10 minutes). My third time back to Gaucin but Molino is certainly my favourite place to stay!

- Notes on accommodation: There are two further apartments - Dancaire's Den and Escamillo's . Dancaire's sleeps 2 and has a double/queen bed. There is a fully equipped kitchen/dining/lounge area which is decorated with Moorish artefacts and fabrics. This apartment has a romantic and decadent feel to it. There is no private terrace with this apartment; however it is located adjacent to the pool terrace.with unrivalled views across the mountains to the coast and North Africa. Escamillo's Villa has a double and twin room. There is a shared Moorish styled bathroom with bath/shower/WC/bidet and sink. It is the most self contained area of the Molino, accessed by its own front door. The 'rustic' styled kitchen is fully equipped and leads onto the comfortable lounge and dining area. There is a central feature fireplace for winter months and in the summer, the French doors spanning the living space (with amazing views) can be opened up fully, to allow the inside in. Outside: There is plenty of outdoor space to be enjoyed at the Molino. Most apartments have their own private terrace with table and chairs and stunning views. All apartments have also have access to the spacious pool terrace, complete with olive trees in the original pots used to collect the pressed oil. There are plenty of loungers for all to enjoy and a rainforest shower to cool off under! The large communal pool is heated from Easter onwards.
