The apartment is located overlooking the picturesque bay of Arenal d'en Castell with uninterrupted views of distant hills and rocky headlands lending an impressive background to the magnificent, safe, white sand beach and idyllic horse-shoe bay. Private landscaped gardens on prestige complex. The apartment benefits from spacious front, side and rear patios, some with shaded areas for eating or just lounging about. The change-over day is midday on Fridays.

My name is Diana Wood-Roe. I am a retired teacher living in West Sussex. My husband and I have two grown up children and two grandchildren and we all enjoy going to our apartment in Menorca which we have owned for over 25 years.

The beach at Arenal is perfect and we never tire of the view from the patio.

Approximately 20 steps down to a safe, clean, sandy beach in a stunning horseshoe which is ideal for swimming in clear waters, snorkelling, canoeing, pedalos and beach games. Umbrellas and sun loungers may be hired on the beach. At the end of the bay there are 2 beach restaurants. Perfect for families and with small children, as the apartment offers the option to spend all the holiday on the beach with no travelling required (you can call down to the beach from the apartment balcony - it's that close!).


Arenal d'en Castell is located on the North Coast. Mahon airport is approximately 17km from the resort (approximately 20 minutes drive). Car hire is recommended to explore the island and visit places of interest such as the ancient capital of Ciudedala, the megalithic monuments and the impressive Mount Toro. Scooter hire is also available, or there is a bus service to Mahon and Fornells which stops near to the apartment complex.

Further Details:

The local resort of Arenal has good shopping facilities and several excellent restaurants. Childrens disco/ entertainment is available in the nearby hotels. Bars and restaurants stay open until midnight, but the resort is generally quiet and family focussed. Car hire and banking (ATM) are within a few minutes walk of the apartment.

There are interesting coastal walks to the nearby village of Na Macaret. Sailing and boating is available in Fornelles (15 mins by car). There is also a windsurfing school and golf course at Son Parc (10 mins by car). A novelty train, which is a must for children, travells around Arenal and over to Na Macaret.
