Casa Borboleta is on a quiet cul-de-sac within the peaceful area of Luz Parque. The villa is furnished to a high standard and was renovated in 2008. All external areas and bathrooms have been completed to an incredibly luxurious standard as the attached photos show. The 3 bedrooms are located on the ground floor with direct access to the pool - BBQ area. All have stunning sea views. There are 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite) on this level and a 3rd w/c in the ‘pool room’ outside. The living room, dining room and kitchen are found upstairs. The living room/dining room lead to the large terrace with further alfresco dining area for 6 and fantastic, uninterrupted sea views. The fully equipped kitchen has a large, separate pantry - stairs leading down to the pool - BBQ area. The villa is entirely enclosed by surrounding walls. The gated access provides secure parking for 2 cars. Casa Borboleta is a 2nd home property providing the setting for a truly relaxing holiday. Ideally suited for families.

Perfect place to stay

We have stayed in this villa twice now and loved it both times!

The location is perfect, the views are wonderful and the BBQ area is great for evenings by the pool.

The place is always clean and tidy, and the cleaner that comes most days is friendly, and stelthy!

Would go their again next week if i could!

Location

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

Luz Beach is 2 mins by car (10 mins walk). Its huge sandy beach is ideal for families. Water sports are available in the summer incl. diving, sailing, water skiing, banana boats etc. The smaller Burgau beach is 5 mins by car and has a fantastic beach bar. Meia Praia in Lagos is 15 mins by car and is ideal for windsurfing. The quiet beaches on the west coast (25 min drive) are ideal for surfing. Lessons can be booked.

Travel:

The nearest airport is Faro and is less than 1hour drive along the A22 motorway. A hire car is not essential but is recommended. Car hire can be arranged by owner after confirmation of booking. Taxi transfers are approximately £60 each way. Taxi should always charge exact price displayed on taxi meter. Airport transfers (shared vehicle) are available and cheaper than taxi.

Distances:

Praia da Luz has excellent facilities with many restaurants, bars, shops, beach bars and supermarkets. Baptista Supermarcado offers telephone ordering and delivery. Casa Borboleta is well known to them. There is also 3 banks, at least 4 ATM machines, a post office and 24hr medical centre.

Further Details:

The fishing village of Burgau is 5km west and has some lovely restaurants, especially Burgau Beach bar. Lagos (8 km east) is the most beautiful town in the Algarve offering great shopping, nightlife and a fantastic marina where dolphin trips, fishing and boat rides can be arranged. The West Coast offers incredible quiet beaches on the Atlantic Ocean. Beware that the sea can be very rough. Portimao (20km) east is the largest city in the western Algarve. To help ensure that you have as relaxing and stress free holiday as possible the owner will arrange car hire if required. Also a 'welcome pack' or full shopping order can be arranged for your arrival. The owners regularly use a fully qualified masseuse who will visit the villa for treatments and set up either outside or inside the villa. Again, this can either be arranged in advance or you can book at your leisure.

Booking Notes:
Payment by Bank transfer or cheque in euros or pound Sterling. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking. Balance payable 8 weeks prior to departure. A refundable £250 housekeeping deposit is also required against damages and return of villa keys. General breakages of glasses, crockery etc. excluded. Refunded within 14 days.

Notes on prices:
All prices are for the property per week in UK Pounds. Air-conditioning is charged at £100 per week as required. 10% discount on 3rd and additional weeks (not during high season). Special discount for winter rents of a month or over.

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: Casa Borboleta was extensively upgraded in 2008 and is truly a 2nd family home. The villa is suitable for children and contains many family games and outdoor toys (inflatable's, buckets and spades, bat and balls etc) which you can use and respect as your own. There are security gates and parking for 2 cars within. The location of the villa means that it has total privacy and the entire pool terrace, BBQ area and landscaped gardens are completely secluded. There are air-con units in the living room and all bedrooms to keep the summers cool and the winters warm. There are also additional wall mounted heaters throughout the villa. Outside: The luxurious, secluded pool (8 x 4.5m) and BBQ area (redesigned 2008) is equipped to the highest standard. There are 6 sun loungers, 2 sofas, a large coffee table, 3 side tables and a 4m pendulum sun shade. All by Mirage Design. The covered BBQ area has an 8 seat Alexander Rose teak dining table and chairs with granite table inserts for hot plates. The gas Beefeater BBQ (from Australia) is fitted into granite work surfaces. There are 4 power points within the BBQ area and external lighting within the BBQ area and around the pool. The villa setting means this area is not overlooked ensuring total privacy. There are incredible sea views and a landscaped lower garden. Do not miss the photographs. Utility Room: Outside utility room has a fridge freezer, washing machine, iron and ironing board & large storage space. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: The maid comes in three times a week, but not on public holidays. Towels are changed twice a week, bedlinen weekly. Beach and swimming pool towels are not provided. Other: Dining room is through an archway off the living room and has table and chairs for 6. There are stunning sea views from the table and sliding doors leading to same terrace.
