This 3 bedroom luxury officially rated 4 star apartment is adjacent to ski lifts in a village centre setting. Two bathrooms, one with whirlpool bath. Fully fitted kitchen, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave, etc. Balcony with views of the village, valley and the ski-run. Underground parking facility, cave/locker for ski storage. Ski hire, restaurants/bars, take-away, shops, all within 100 mtrs. Dining table sits 10 - 3 leather sofas in lounge area. Flat screen TV with DVD player and PlayStation.

Why Phil Robinson chose Morillon

We love the traditional feel to this unspoilt french village and with the apartments 4 * rating and its location close to the lift and bars/restaurants, it is rare to find such an apartment so close to all this.Also with its location to Geneva airport or drive from Calais it must be one of the quickest resorts to get to.

What makes this apartment unique

To be able to ski to your door and sit on the 3rd floor balcony watching the others skiing or sledging this has to be one of the best family resorts. We hope you enjoy it as much as we always do - from Phil and Julie Robinson.

Lubys Loft 23rd - 30th January 2017

We have been here 4 times before and would most certainly come here again. This time we came with other friends and there was 6 of us. The apartment which is on the third floor is well equipped if you want to stay in rather than eat out and has everything you need to support 8 + adults eating in including a large "country kitchen" style dinning table, a full cooker with oven and hob, microwave and lots of plates and pans etc. It has three x 3 person sofas (one of which is a sofa bed) plus an armchair in the lounge and a big TV. We have only ever had a maximum of 6 adults in the apartment and as such have had plenty of space. There is one double room, one twin (you can push the beds together if you want) and one bunk bed room with a pull out bottom bed able to sleep two. The garage parking is easy to access but the garage is a bit dark even with the lights on and it is not very well marked as to which space is yours so check carefully.

It really is right next to the Gondola and ski pass office which you can see from the balcony and you can ski back to the apartment on a blue run (ski conditions allowing). You can access Morillon, Samoens and Les Carroz easily from the apartment and the Flaine ski area is not far on the ski lifts for which you will need a Grand Massif pass but does not cost much more than an local pass. It is ideal for Blue and Red run skiers.

Morillon village its self is quite quiet but has a couple of ski shops, restaurants, a small supermarket a good bakers. There is a market one day a week. There are a few good after ski bars, one of which is at the base of the apartment block next to the lift. (You can't hear the bar from the apartment). Samoens (town) is 5 minute drive and has a large supermarket and provides everything you may need. We have not been to the apartment in the summer but are considering doing so in a few years.

Great Christmas Ski Apartment

We thoroughly enjoyed our family Christmas together in this great apartment, centrally located in the village of Morillon. Though unlucky with snow depth in Morillon, we were able to enjoy skiing in Flaine and preferred being in a French village environment to a ski resort. Best of both worlds. Lovely restaurants, friendly people and pretty Samoens only a 50 minute walk away along the river. The owner was very helpful and we were very happy with the standard of accommodation and space for a party of eight. We would recommend this accommodation to others and hope to return when there is more snow so that we can also enjoy the close proximity to the ski lifts. A pretty part of France that was new to us. Thank you.

Wonderful holiday

Lubys loft was exactly as described. When we arrived there was fresh bread,jam,orange juice,2 bottles of wine, etc more than we were expecting. There was more than enough room for our family of 5. All rooms were very well presented. A spacious kitchen with plenty of utensils, pots, pans etc. It had a good sized bathroom with bath and shower, then a smaller en-suite with shower, toilet and sink. The living room was also spacious with a couple of playstations, which our boys enjoyed. The wifi was a fantastic also. Lubys loft is in a very good location, great place for walking, running and biking. There is a lake ( LAC BLUE) about 10 min walk away with a restaurant, zip lining, ice-cream stand and more. We had fun times there. Lubys Loft is about an hours drive to Chamonix (great place for shopping) and Lake Annecy, (great place for watersports). I would definitely recommend Lubys Loft to my family and friends. Also had very good communication with owners. Thanks again, The Baileys.

Excellent apartment in fabulous location

We have just returned from our fifth stay in this fabulous property. Extremely comfortable and equipped to a very high standard. Lovely, homely open plan living/ dining/ kitchen area. Fantastic location, above the ski shop, adjacent to the ski lift. Convenient for shops and all amenities in Morillon. Will be returning next year.
