About the Owner

We came to Turkey looking for property to buy and fell in love with the Kalkan area.

Our villa has four bedrooms over four floors. It's furnished to our taste and is cheerful and colourful. The one bedroom is a self contained apartment which can be hired separately in the spring and autumn.

We specialize in affordable luxury with our holiday properties.

This is the most delightful property we have ever stopped in.

  • 5 of 5

From arriving at the villa we were helped to gain access by mustapha from cafe vita ( a great place to get a long cool drink and a decent menu ) he even delivered to us so we could just chill by the pool in the evening.

The accommodation was excellent we didnt care that the tv didnt work .A little tip the wifi is really good so good we watched films on netflicks on two evenings laying on the sun loungers ( very comfortable) a couple of bottles of wine and a film under the evening stars what more would you want ? So take your ipad !!! .

The pool guy came every day he straighted up and swept all round the outside area .the pool was cleaned and i watched him put in the chemicals .the kitchen had every thing you might need to cook, even a first aid kit was available.and the bed was very comfortable and with the air conditioning sleep was easy.

If you are looking for a very relaxing place to stop then look no further

Location wise it is a steady 10 minutes to reach the numerous bars and restaurants and if you fancy the harbour then just stroll down the hill and theres loads of harbour front restaurants

We are so impressed we are going to book next year.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the lovely review. We did try to get the TV to work but the only place you can get a satellite signal is from behind the house and the TV man was unable to get a cable to it. You were lovely guests and we would love to see you again next year. Wendy x

Have just spent another glorious 2 weeks in the apartment and enjoyed it just as much as last year. This is a really lovely villa and this is the first time we have ever gone back to the same accommodation which shows just how much we really like it.

A fabulous place to stay

  • 5 of 5

This had to be the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. We stayed in the one bedroomed apartment by the pool. We spent hours and hours in and around the pool. The privacy was great. The villa was a little bit further out of town than we expected but it really did not matter. There were a number of restaurants well within walking distance along the main road, we spent a lot of time in Café Vita, they do a mean English breakfast and a really good barbeque night. There is a little supermarket very close as well, doesn't have a massive amount of stock but the essential beer was priced the same as the main supermarkets. We really would like to go back again next year if at all possible. Loved it!!

Second time and twice as nice!

  • 5 of 5

Another lovely stay at Villa Asfiya. Everything you could need to be home from home plus sunshine & a beautiful pool! Our only suggestions would be curtains in the top bedroom (it's very light when dawn breaks) and the mattress is a little hard (we're used to memory foam) but hey teeny tiny suggestions and the overall villa is stunning and wonderful. Loved the canopy on the top terrace making it useable when the sun is out and glad we can still star gaze in the evening.

Wendy answered all our pre-holiday questions promptly and Roger was our man on the ground for any questions.

Thanks for another wonderful stay we're hoping to be back in 2016.

From the Owner

We loved the versatility of the villa which has three bedrooms and the apartment providing either a separate retreat or an individual property. Also the design and finish. It's beautiful and we fell in love.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Dalaman at 130 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Cafe Vita at 0.1 Kilometres Nearest Motorway : D400 at 1 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Cafe Vita at 0.1 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Town Beach at 0.5 Kilometres Car: not necessary

Coast/Beach:

Kalamar Beach Club - 10 mins walk downhill. Town beach - 20 mins walk, pebble beach. Cafes etc nearby. Patara Beach - 6km - A nature reserve because of the turtles. See ancient remains close by (no not me!) beautiful and unspoilt 18km long beach. Go by bus or taxi.

Travel:

Dalaman is the nearest airport and is an easy 1.50 hours drive on quiet, wide roads. You can pick up a hire car from the airport or we can help with transfers. Car hire isn't essential but for the sake of a few more pounds you can have a car for a week and the extra independence is great!

Distances:

Kalkan town is an easy 10 minute stroll from the villa, you can spend hours there exploring cobbled streets, browsing in shops, or just sitting at the Merkez Cafe watching the world go by. See Kas too - a bigger town, market day on Friday.

Berzigan - only over the hill but so different - visit for yourself and see. Saklikent Gorge - awe inspiring and beautiful. The water is breathtakingly cold!

Further Details:

Don't worry if you forget anything - you can get it all here. Do visit the local market on Thursdays - not just for tourists and you don't get pestered to buy.

You can go horse riding but be careful which establishment you choose, some horses are in better condition than others. Go scuba diving, have a trip on a boat, go paragliding. Dine in many of the superb restaurants which range from really rustic out on the Kas Road to really upmarket places in town and romantic places by the harbour. You may even want to get married in Kalkan - let me do your wedding photographs! I can also help with the other arrangements.

There is just so much to see and do that one week isn't enough.

Local diving schools cater for beginners and experienced divers. Cookery schools also available if you fancy learning how to cook Turkish food.
