About Sam Berry

We purchased this really really spacious villa two years ago and did extensive renovation work on the villa itself and the private pool and terraces in order to make it as comfortable as possible for rental purposes. We think we have achieved this do our best to make our guests welcome and to do our utmost to ensure they have a really good holiday. We live not far from the property so that we are on hand for any emergencies or problems which may occur. We decided to live and invest in Tenerife especially in the Callao Salvaje area because of its fantastic climate all the year round.

Guests who have stayed at the villa have really enjoyed their stay and say the photos do not do it justice. The villa accommodation sits on a large plot so plenty of space.

Under cover full sized pool table and dart board. Guests who has stayed in this villa say that it is way above their expectations and most give it a 'wow' when they enter. Internet is provided . Free wi fi areas in cafes and bars in Callao Salvaje and also an internet shop with photocopying facilities.. Outside: Lovely tiled swimming pool ,heated in winter months,complete with pool cover, good sized pool terrace, with sun loungers, parasols. Poolside WC and separate shower room. Roof terrace with sea and mountain views. Covered alfresco dining area with large patio table and chairs near BBQ. Close also to outside utility room with washing machine, sink, exercise equipment. Covered area with snooker table and dart board. Table tennis table with bats and ball. garden area with mature shrubs and trees. Front gate and large gate entrance from the road side parking into front courtyard area. Car parking on quiet roadside outside the villa. NOTE The sun protection product P20 has been banned from being used in this villa or around the pool area or in the pool. not only does it turn towels and bedding yellow but also the pool water and surround also. Utility Room: Utility room incl. Gym room - in exterior courtyard with washing machine and exercise equipment and sink and football machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All linen and towels provided including poolside beach towels. Total linen change end of each weeks' rental, if stay is 2 weeks or more. Excellent family holiday villa

We stayed at Villa Palomar with our family totallng 7 adults and 4 children. This was to celebrate a 70th birthday and Cynthia did everything possible to make our stay memorable including putting up balloons etc.for our arrival. We found it to be beautifully clean and fully equipped. The villa is very spacious which is essential for a large group like ours and we were impressed that there is the facility to all eat together both inside and out. Plenty to do with table tennis, pool table, dartboard etc and a lovely heated pool which the kids were in all the time. Callao Salvaje is quieter than other resorts we have been to on Tenerife but there is a good selection of bars and restaurants and the taxis are cheap if you want to venture further. We would thoroughly recommend this villa.

Fantastic Holiday at Villa Palomamar

We were 3 groups from the same family staying at the beautiful Villa Palomamar in Callao Salvaje in April 2015. The Villa is enormous and comfortably sleeps 3 families, while still providing enough personal space.

Cynthia (the owner) had supplied detailed directions of how to get to the Villa and how to gain access. Her communication prior to arrival was first class.

Internally the Villa is finished to a very high standard and was spotlessly clean on our arrival. The Villa had everything we needed, and Cynthia organised high chairs and cots as we had requested.

Externally the Villa has a pool and sunbathing area which again is sizeable and accommodated everyone with ample space. There is also a very good BBQ area and eating area outside which we used on several occasions.

Cynthia gave us some tips for restaurants in the town which we used and can say they were also excellent. The amenities in Callao Salvaje are more than sufficient for a family break, with several good restaurants and plenty bars for a drink.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Palomamar in Callao Salvaje and thank Cynthia for her help and communication during our stay.

We would highly recommend this Villa for any large groups or families who are looking for a break in this are of Tenerife.

Ideal for a family holiday

We stayed in this villa with an extended family group of nine people at Easter 2015. The villa was ideal for us - the accommodation is excellent and the villa is very well equipped. The pool is a good size with plenty of room around the sides for lounging on sunbeds. There are three different areas which are suitable for a large group having a meal together - the front balcony, the area at the back of the villa which has a permanent structure providing shade and the large table at one end of the large main room. The children in our group were particularly impressed by the pool, the table tennis table and the pool table. The adults were impressed by the high standard of the bedrooms and bathrooms, the well equipped kitchen and the fact that the TV has all five main British terrestrial channels. Cynthia was very welcoming when we arrived and, although we did not have any problems, we knew that she lives only 100 yards away if we needed any assistance.

Callao Salvaje is a very good location - away from the noise of the big resorts but with a number of good bars, restaurants (our favourite was Casa Maria) and shops. There is a pleasant small local beach with dark pebbly sand. As we are beach cricket addicts, we drove to the large yellow sandy beaches at Los Cristianos and Playa las Americas which are just 20 minutes away. All in all, the villa is ideal for a large family group and we will definitely be back again in the future.

Great Villa- ideal for 12 golfers

Just back from great stay @ Villa Palomar.

We are a group of 12 male golfers, who roam Europe looking for suitable accommodation , near excellent golf, and came upon this gem. Was very clean, well fitted out.

Layout is a bit quirky, but worked great for us. The main house ( up the stairs) has 1 x double and 1 x twin room , with 2 shower rooms. This is where the main breakfast area, kitchen, dining room, TV, Patio table & chairs are located. Below on ground floor, is a self-contained (ie own keys) 4-bedroomed unit, with 1 x double and 3 x twins. One of the twins is massive, with own mini lounge and direct access to kitchen. 3 x bathrooms/showers, but the bath in the double room takes forever to fill !!. Plenty of hot water available everywhere though.

By the pool, there is a great separate twin bed apartment, with its own lounge, kitchen and patio doors onto pool. So ideal for a separate pair who might want their own space.

The pool is lovely. Appears a bit small in pictures, but was plenty big enough for a swim, or just laze around. The temp in early October was 30 degrees, so don't bother paying for it to be heated. Was like walking into a luke-warm bath. (Cynthia- owner - will happily let you know the pool temp before you arrive- so can make your own decision on heating).

Cynthia was also happy to do our "shopping list" for us, so all our food was available when we arrived - cold beers etc. Check with her first !!

As there were all separate bits to be locked, and a master gate to exit the property, a few more sets of keys would have been useful, but this can be discussed with Cynthia.

Parking is not a problem, plenty of space on the road directly outside. Its a 10-minute walk down the hill to the pretty coastline, with lots of bars/restaurants, many run by ex-pats. Its a tougher walk back up the hill !!- but there are taxis at the bottom.

You need a car to get around, but its very accessible from the airport- under 20 minutes, and Los Cristianos & Playa de Las Americas are only 15 mins away max. ( 20 euros taxi each way).

Golf- we got around easily by car, as all courses are very near motorway. We played Golf del Norte ( in Santa Cruz), which took just under an hour, but more locally, Adeje, Golf del Sur, Las Americas, and took the whole day trip to Tecina golf , on La Gomera. That was great experience, but get your timings sorted re ferry, transport etc,

All in all, great holiday, and probably the best villa we've stayed in as a group

spacious and well located

The photos do not do this property justice. It was well equipped and comfortable and the various outside spaces meant it never felt crowded, even with 11 adults staying. There was plenty to do with a decent sized swimming pool, table tennis, darts, pool table, table football and a play house for small children. The way the property is divided is unusual with no inside access to the self-contained lower floor, however this, along with the poolside chalet, means that the property lends itself well to 2 or 3 families sharing. The owner, who lives nearby, was extremely helpful.

It is a 10 minute walk into the village where there are several restaurants, bars and shops (including 3 small supermarkets) and here you can access the small man-made beach, which has its own bar/restaurant. There are a number of large supermarkets a short bus/taxi ride away with good provision for bbq supplies. There is a fairly regular bus service to both Las Americas and Los Gigantes meaning that a car is not necessary unless you wish to explore further afield.

Car: not necessary


Callao Salvaje is a small resort only 10 mins drive from the busier tourist areas of Playa de las Americas and Los Cristianos. The local beach is a relatively new construction resulting in a picturesque bay with man made beach and lovely beach bar-restaurant, walkways and promenades across the cliff tops and beach facilities. A small plaza giving excellent views of ocean and sunset over the neighbouring island of La Gomera. The villa is a 8-10 minute walk to the ocean and beach and facilities.


Nearest airport is Tenerife south or Reina Sofia airport - 30 mins drive away. Car hire is recommended for the villa but not absolutely essential as the shops and restaurants are within walking distance. Owner can arrange airport transfers at good rates.


Shops and restaurants, ocean and beach are 10 mins walk away down a slight incline. All within walking distance. Taxis are always available for small amount back to villa. Car hire not essential.

Situated in good area for reaching all places of interest and excursions and tourist attractions.

Callao Salvaje has a variety of very good restaurants to suit all tastes and pockets.

The next door resort has a newly constructed Hard Rock Cafe resort.

Callao Salvaje is reputed to have the best weather anywhere in Tenerife.

It is a relatively small resort for those who like quieter areas and yet within only 10 minutes drive away from the busier resorts of Playa de Las Americas and Los Cristianos. Callao Salvaje enjoys a very good all year round climate.

It also enjoys an excellent array of good restaurants with canarian and international cuisine. All excellent food and excellent value for money. and bars to suit most tastes, all facing the ocean and usually within walking distance of the villas. It has shops, chemist, doctor's surgery, car hire, money exchange, excusion shops, nightly entertainment in some bars and restaurants, beauty line clinic,

internet shops, banks, supermarkets, butcher's shop, nice fresh bread shop, excursion shop, frequent bus service, taxis readily available. In fact most that one would need.

And for keeping fit tennis courts in Callao Garden or the Callao Grand Hotel, also gymnasium in ocean front hotel. There is also golf instructions, putting, and spa at Callao Grand Hotel situated at the top of the hill at entrance into Callao Salvaje.
