Guestbook comments from the owner

'Our holiday was wonderful, made all the better by staying at your villa in beautiful Binibeca. We found it very well equipped and it suited our needs perfectly. We didn't see a cloud practically the entire two weeks! We would definitely return. The pool was like a warm bath and was extremely clean and was much used.' Sue, June 2009.

We had a great time - we found the villa to be very well equipped it had those extra touches of useful items that could only be provided by 'Brits' who had stayed abroad. The pool was the best we have ever used. Keith and Family, August 2009.

What a brilliant time we had. It was wonderful to have such a lovely pool and villa. Thanks for the use of things like parasol and cool box - it was great to get cold drinks and sandwiches on the beach when it was 35 degrees! Kate, James and family, August 2010

We had an absolutely fabulous time. The villa was really well equipped, cosy and well situated.

What a wonderful holiday

  • 5 of 5

This was the first time my 2 children age 2(nearly 3) and age 7 had been abroad, so I really wanted it to be good and the villa did not disappoint. I also took along my Mum and Dad as their Christmas present (and to babysit). The pool was amazing, it was a lot bigger than I expected and my 7 year old did not want to get out. The villa was so homely and had everything in it. The location was great, the supermarket and restaurants were just round the corner. We did not hire a car, but probably would next time as the sandy beach was a bit far for the kids to walk in the heat, although we were happy by the pool and only went to the beach once. There was a little train that went to Punta Prima which was great fun. There was a lovely restaurant along the main road with had sea views (didn't get the name of it), but it was really nice. I love Binibeca, if you like quiet resorts, then this is perfect. I do not like going to the same place twice, but I would definately come back to this Villa.

Thank you

Fantastic location, well appointed villa!

  • 5 of 5

The villa was everything it advertised and more, clean well appointed and in a quiet location. The directions to reach it from the airport were spot on. There was a comprehensive guide to the area, restaurants, beaches, shops etc. at the villa and the owners had left nothing wanting. Our first time on the island but definitely not our last, can't wait to return. We enjoyed the beaches, cove hopping, Mao and Ciutadella and wind surfing in Fornells. The restaurants and bars and shopping were perfect, we would highly recommend this villa.

Ideal location

  • 5 of 5

We have been to the island in 7 villas and locations - this was perfect. I think we will have to book very early as everyone seems to think the same "a little bit of heavan". The location is one our favourite it was peaceful, clean, ideally equipped, close to beaches and good restaurants. We hired a car and went to Mahon, Cuitadella, monestry, Punta prima, Fornells - really did not want to come home after a wonderful fortnight. The customer service is first class from Andrew + Sarah, and Helen the caretaker in Menorca - nothing is to much

trouble. Perfect holiday - thankyou for sharing your home with us.

Wonderful stay at Casita Delfin

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at Casita Delfin.

The villa is perfect for a family: clean, spacious and very well equipped. In addition to the usual things you would expect to find, the owners have kindly left lots of other useful items, including picnicware, coolbox and icepacks, UK plug adaptors, guidebooks, and a DVD and fictional book library.

For us, the pool and surrounding area was the best feature of the villa. It is a very good size and kept well shielded from the outisde world. We enjoyed many a breakfast, lunch and dinner outside, including a number of BBQs. The pool is a great size and perfect for people with young children.

We also really enjoyed the locale of the villa. Binibeca is a wonderful place if you enjoy the peace and tranquility away from the larger resorts. The visitor is, however, very well catered for with a beautiful beach, wonderful coastline and a good selection of restaurants and small shops all in Binibeca. It also makes an excellent base from which to explore the island both by car and by bike.

Highly recommended.

Home from home

  • 5 of 5

We have been holidaying in Menorca every year for the last 15 years, initially with our children and now with our grandchildren. We have always stayed in villas, but this year we have found our perfect villa. The reason for this is that this a FAMILY villa which is used by a family and fitted out as a home and is left that way for its guests. The villas we had visited previously had been used as holiday lets and lacked any character. This villa has all the things you would have in your own home, books, games for the children (and adults). DVD's, CD's ' first aid kit, spare bulbs. bags, the list goes on. There are guide books instruction info for appliances etc.

For us this a home from home so much so that we all want to go back next year, including the children.

I would like to thank Andrew and Sarah for allowing us to stay in their home

Owner's Response: Thanks Jim. We have tried to provide everything that a family would want; we also stay in the villa with our children (but not yet grandchildren)! We are glad that we have succeeded in meeting your family's expectations too and we look forward to seeing you back this year! Andrew and Sarah

Activity and Interests

The golden sandy beach at Binibeca is gently shelving, ideal for families with children - about 12 minutes walk away. Parasols and sun loungers are available for hire there. There are also secluded rocky coves nearby (nearest about 5 minutes walk away) where one can bathe off the rocks. Excellent for snorkeling.

Menorca airport is about 15 minutes drive away. Car hire is not essential, but to appreciate the island fully we would recommend it. You can hire a car at the airport or there is a hire company just 5 mins walk from the villa. There are also various car hire options based at the airport.

The property is situated in a residential area of Binibeca Vell. There are a number of bars, restaurants, shops and three small supermarkets in Binibeca Vell and Binibeca Nou, within 5 to 10 minutes walk away. The pretty town of San Lluis is just a 10 minutes drive and here you will find a variety of shops, banks, chemists and restaurants, along with some tourist attractions. Mahon, the historical capital city of Menorca, is within 20 minutes drive of the villa. There is a bus to San Lluis & Mahon

Further Details:

Visit the capital city of Mahon (Mao) and enjoy it's English style of architecture and spectacular harbour, with it's wonderful views, vast selection of restaurants and cafes, shops, boat trips and tourist sites. Menorca's second city, former capital Cuitadella, at the opposite end of the island, is also worth a visit to experience the contrasting Moorish architecture and historic atmosphere. Also within easy driving distance are numerous other coastal villages with beach and tourist attractions. There is a little road-train running between Binibeca and Punta Prima which is very popular with the children and really useful for trying out both beaches. If you want a change from the beach and seaside, Menorca is famous for it's many historical sites and museums which can lead you through it's history from pre-history times to the recent past. There are also many walks, and nature conservation areas linked into Menorca's status as a Biosphere Reserve.
