Penthouse Apartment at Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort, Sucina, Murcia - Superb Location. Overlooking 3rd & 4th Fairways and Lake.

This well appointed penthouse apartment has wonderful views of the golf course. The property boasts a large wrap around terrace offering seating for al fresco dining and sunbeds to enjoy the sun. It is well equipped and has a 26" LCD Television with Sky, a DVD player which also plays music CD's and free Wifi. There is a a comfortable double sofa-bed for larger families and groups, and the kitchen has everything needed to accommodate such numbers. The second bathroom is also an added bonus. Hacienda Riquelme Golf Resort has been designed to help you relax and enjoy the facilities with the highest standards in quality, specification and world class golf in mind. The Hacienda has been beautifully restored and houses a first class restaurant and bar and pro shop. A well stocked supermarket and driving range are also on site.

"Excellent Apartment and Location"

This is the third year me and my family have stayed at this apartment. It has all the comforts of home with two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fitted kitchen.

This is in a brilliant location with excellent views over the golf course.

We really picked a great place to stay for our golfing holiday this year. A large penthouse apartment with 2 bathrooms and a fantastic terrace overlooking the course, ideal for entertaining and dining. The location is ideal for golfers and families on a beautiful golf resort. We are looking to re- book.

A BRILLIANT APARTMENT AT AN INCREDIBLE PRICE, WOULD BE 5* IF SUNBEDS AND TOWELS WERE PROVIDED.

The instructions given to us by Katherine prior to arrival where superb. We followed them word for word and found our apartment with zero effort! Our first impression was WOW, what a clean, stylish and great apartment it was. Unfortunately we arrived extremely late (11.15pm) as our flight was delayed, supermarkets had long closed and we hadn't passed any open convenience stores along the way. Having established there was no 'welcome pack' we dashed out to the Club House in case the shop was open......it wasn't ! Fortunately the restaurant was still serving at 11.45pm! We ordered some pizza's and pasta dishes plus some vegetables. It wasn't cheap but it was delicious and fresh.....infact at the end of our stay we judged the club house to offer the best food we'd had all holiday!

Next day found a supermarket in San Javier and stocked up fridge! We went to the pool, which was beautiful and at times peaceful ( shocking as it was 33 degrees and high summer) - only problem was NO SUNBEDS or FOLDING CHAIRS. You are expected to bring your own down from the apartment, which would be fine if there had been any in the apartment. This really put a dampener on our holiday as we love the pool and just enjoying the weather but with no where to lie down it was difficult. We did buy a beach mat and towels plus a blow up LiLo but there were 4 of us so not really cost effective to buy four of them. To be fair there were two white plastic garden chairs in apartment which we could take down but again not really suitable for four of us.

The views and location of property are superb. You really feel safe here, we let our son and nephew walk to/from shop in the knowledge that they were in a secure place The gate system works really well and all the quards we met where really pleasant. The WIFI is SUPER FAST.

* Hire a car and visit Murcia, Cartegena and the beaches.

* Eat at club house

* Spar on site is a great bonus but beware it's ALOT more expensive than the one in Succina

* Vist Dos Mares at junction 777 off the A7 for your supermarket/petrol needs - loads of parking and cool air con.

* Don't visit Los Alcarezes.....beach ok but everything else grim.

I would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay there again if I could pre book a welcome pack, sort out sun loungers and beach towels. Personally we'd be happy to pay for these services or have the choice to - most people now use hand held luggage only budget airlines bringing 4 large towels is impossible

We are delighted that you had a great holiday, sorry that you were delayed and that, in consequence, your first evening was difficult. We are looking to address the issues you have mentioned. We do offer a welcome pack (chargeable in resort) which is referred to on the booking form but we will definitely highlight it for future guests. With regards to sunbeds or folding chairs for the beach we have provided both for guests in the past, however, we have found them damaged beyond use and put away without us or our agents being informed. We will review this for next season. We haven't had a request for beach towels before but we appreciate that this was a disappointment for you on your arrival. We will be looking to provide beach towels for next season for a modest fee, which will include a small laundry charge, made by our agents. We are always looking to provide an excellent service for our guests at a competitive rate. A lovely break

When we arrived at the resort everything was as arranged and easily assessable. Our apartment was well furnished and equipped with everything needed for a great holiday.

A great place to stay. We enjoyed ourselves while there. The owners were also accessible and very helpful when needed.

A lovely clean apartment with beautiful views.

The apartment was well located within a 5 minute walk to the restaurant, bar, supermarket and pro shop. The resort and golf course was really well maintained and the restaurant served lovely lunches and dinners at very reasonable prices. The pools on the resort are massive and again really well looked after and also very quiet and relaxing.

The apartment itself is well furnished and very clean with a beautiful terrace with great views of the golf course and lake on the 4th fairway.

The owners were very prompt with the booking arrangements and very helpful throughout, I would recommend this property, and will be returning again soon.

Ten days chilling

Booked apartment 8039592 through Owners direct for a 4 night golfing holiday with some friends and a further 7 days with my wife and family. The first 4 days all we did was sleep and eat at the apartment, so we didn't get to appreciate where we were staying. The further 7 days was much better, we could relax and enjoy the surroundings and the apartment. Although the weather wasn't sunbathing weather it didn't stop us from using the outside space of the apartment, the balcony was huge, it had a table that four people could easily sit around and still there was space for the sun loungers. The apartment had everything you could ask for, perhaps some people might think that the kitchen was too small, but there was four of us in it preparing our breakfast and we didn't think it was small. One of the great things about La Hacienda is if you want you don't really have to leave the concourse, it has a very good shop and also a lovely bar and restaurant. The challenging golf course is one of many in the area too. The property was well maintained and very clean - we asked if the cleaners could clean the apartment after the 4 days and before my wife arrived which was not a problem. All my dealings with the owners were first class, any queries I had were quickly answered and deposits paid were quickly refunded. The only down side I could see was if you wanted to sunbathe around the pool you would have to take the sunbeds down and back, which could be a problem for some people. The apartment is on the top floor, but even if you had mobility issues there is a lift to use. The view over the golf course is superb, even if your a non golfer you can't help but watch how people play the holes you can see from the balcony. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment or the owners to anybody, first class all around.

Look no further

Great place for a restful break. Comfy and well-maintained with attention to detail. Everything you could wish for, views of mountains on one side and golf course on the other. A home from home.

The grounds and golf club are beautifully kept and there is a shop on site.

The pool looked inviting although I did not indulge.

San Javier airport is a short drive

away as is the Mediterranean.

I recommend a trip to the ancient port of Cartagena too.

Hacienda Heaven!

It was a privilege to be invited to stay here for a week. It's a bolt hole and perfect escape from the busyness of life. It's location is great, being not too near thriving coastal resorts, yet close enough to reach by car.

The apartment is very well equipped and because it is also in use by the owners themselves, it is like stepping in to their own home with the high standard to match.

The views from the patio/balcony are wonderful and I enjoyed sitting out to breakfast watching early morning golfers doing their thing.

If anything is lacking, (which is very little) the owners are quick to take that on board and supply it if they can.

There are plenty of local eateries and charming places to visit. If you like shopping, there are loads of opportunities within driving distance to satisfy your needs.

For me, being here was soul food and I highly recommend a visit. The owners are very friendly and approachable too.

Activity and Interests

Coast/Beach:

The warm inshore waters of the Mar Menor are within an easy 20 minute drive. The Mar Menor is usually 4 degrees warmer than the Mediterranean. The beaches of Los Alcazares and San Pedro de Pinatar are delightful.

Travel:

Murcia and Alicante Airports both serve the area. San Javier (Murcia) airport is about 20 mins drive to Hacienda Riquelme Resort along the main road connecting the area to Murcia City and the main motorway network for the region. Alicante airport is about 45 min away. San Javier is a small airport so facilities are limited but there is a duty free shop, cafe and a Subway sandwich shop.

Distances:

The village of Sucina is a 5 minute drive, with a petrol station, a small English supermarket, takeaways, restaurants and tapas bars. Murcia city is approx 25-30 minutes away, with its beautiful cathedral, restaurants, bars and exclusive shops. Cartagena, a beautiful historic city is some 40 minutes drive.

Further Details:

There is a small well stocked supermarket, club house with pro shop, a driving range and bar on the resort.
