Updated: 10-Oct-2016
4 ensuite bedrooms, private pool, outside kitchen with wood burning oven and BBQ

A beautiful location overlooking this picturesque small Marina. With uninterrupted views over the Marina, cala and headland. Spacious and well designed interior with comprehensively equipped kitchen and large dining area leading directly on to the terrace and pool. Separate comfortable lounge with 2 sets of double doors opening onto the terrace, garden and pool. With 4 double bedrooms (3 upstairs, one downstairs), all with en-suite shower rooms. The 3 upstairs bedrooms have air-con and private terraces overlooking the marina. Mature, well maintained gardens and BBQ area. And only a short walk to join one of the most magnificent stretches of the bridleway Cami de Cavalls. If you are a keen walker, the route from Addaia to Es Grau (whilst requiring some stamina for the 18km walk) is one of the most beautiful walks you'll ever do!

Guestbook comments from the owner

"Your villa is beautiful, and I can honestly say this as we have stayed in a fair few Villas over the years. It was so clean and comfortable. It is obvious that you have put a lot of thought into it. We did spend a lot of time at the villa watching the boats/people. Sally was happy in the pool - the pool means everything to her . . . . who knows we may just break our trend of not visiting the same place twice!!" Jill G.

"Thank you and we had a really wonderful time, the villa is beautiful. In fact the photos didn't do it justice because the downstairs area was far bigger than we had expected and very comfortable, the furnishings were perfect just enough to make it homely without being cluttered. (loved the wooden fold up outside chairs that rocked - we all want one!). The bedrooms were all a good size with equally good views . . . we felt that we had the best spot in Menorca!" Lucy M.

"For once a villa exactly as described in the advert. Perfect" Amanda B.

Beautiful Property, Idyllic Location

  • 5 of 5

Stayed a week in the villa which was like home from home.Offered all the facilities you could wish for to make your stay truly wonderful. The location was quiet but local amenities including the local restaurants where perfect, a car is not necessary but useful should you wish to see this beautiful island.

But if its a quiet holiday you are looking for then I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this villa for the perfect relaxing holiday with all the comforts you require.

Prime Location

  • 5 of 5

Location. 20 minutes from Mahon airport.ideal after an early start and Airport hassle.Easy walking access to the local restaurants and shops.

Location. Overlooking an harbour with lots to see whilst relaxing with a beer.

Location. Good access to all of the Islands points of interest via uncrowded, well maintained roads,I'd forgotten that driving pleasure!

Oh,and if you are in to getting off the beaten track and exploring the beautiful countryside, this place really does take a lot of beating

The property itself was splendid, modern, well proportioned ,scrupulously

Clean and very well equipped. Real thought had been given to the fittings and furnishings and all of our party of five were impressed with what had clearly been a very genuine attempt to please and to indulge even the most discerning of guests. Full marks to owner Simone.

It's difficult to add to the excellent reviews that this property has already attracted and it was interesting to read the comments left in the Visitors Book. Do all of the visitors who leave comments promising to return, really do so ? clearly many do and I'm sure that we will be amongst their number in the future!

We were a party of five middle aged people, yet this place lends itself to all kinds of groups young and old.

Oh, did I mention the great location?

Amazing Villa!

  • 5 of 5

Our family stayed in this amazing villa for a week in October and we were bowled over by it! The villa itself is beautiful with everything we could possibly need (including inflatables for the kids to use in the pool!) The rooms are stunning with elegant decor and those upstairs have balconies with beautiful views across the Port. The pool and outdoor area was gorgeous. We had to keep a close eye on the little ones around the pool but we would not expect anything else. If we couldn't supervise them, they played inside happily as there was plenty of space. The villa catered for a range of ages. Our party ranged from 4 to 76 and we all loved it!!

The weather was incredible! We stepped back into mid-summer for a week in Autumn which was just lovely! The kids loved being able to swim in the sea and play on the beach in their cossies when we would have been wrapped up in waterproofs in England! Fabulous!! :D

Owner's Response: K8, thanks so much for taking the trouble to comment - and for the nice things you said:-) We do try hard to equip the villa with everything we'd like to have on holiday ourselves - so I'm so pleased you and your family enjoyed it. Peak season is fabulous, but I love the island in April/May as well as September/October when you went - and you certainly had amazing weather in 2013. We do give discounts to previous visitors - so would love you to visit again:-) Thank you. S

A wonderful time

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I picked Las Palmiras because of the way it presented itself in the internet, a chic house, with nice furniture and the proximity to the harbor. The internet perfectly reflects the house and it ambiance. Actually the reality is even better. As to the house it is clean, extremely well appointed, has four bedrooms with a bathroom for each. Three rooms have their own balcony, so that if there are several couples as guests one can have one's own time out. If you have small children - they'll love it - but watch they don't wriggle through the railing along the pool towards the harbor. If you like to grill outside or even make a pizza or bread in a real live bakery oven, that's the place to be.

The owner has prepared a guest information book which covers everything, that one wants to know about the house, the island and restaurants etc. You don't have to read a guide book if you have gone through it.

Addija itself is ideal if you want your peace and quite. It has no hotel, no large beach, no big stores or malls, therefore no buses loaded with tourists. The houses and the whole town are spick and span. The only people there are owners or renters of houses or appartments. Granted we were there in the off season, but it still must be just as pleasant in the summer. But it does have a supermarket and an adjoinging newspaper store, where you get just everything you need as to food, newspapers, toiletries etc. As to restaurants we found the restaurant down at the harbor (maybe 100 yards away) very good with a very nice and good service. There are several more restaurants up next to the supermarket. Addaja is easy to find from the airport. By the way nothing is really far on Menorca (40 km across). We liked Fornells as a place where we went to eat several times.

And the highlight for us: being just above the harbor. You can watch the coming and going of the boats for hours, the ins and outs of the people on the boats, the myriads of ducks. You never get tired of looking and beats reading who-done-its all the time. We didn't but would rent a boat the next time we are there.

In conclusion a very, very nice house in a wonderful environment. Pity we were there only of a week.

Paradise in Menorca

Well what can I say about this Beautifull Villa!!

The party was My wife & I, 2 grown up kids and my sprightly in laws.

This glorious villa dominates the entrance to a small but pristine harbour, and is in the best location in this area. The villa was immaculate when we arrived ,early, but left our cases in the Garage whilst it was being fully prepared,so we just went off to explore for an hour. The furnishings and fitting were of an extremely high standard and the villa was superbly prepared by very nice staff, and the welcoming pack was a lovely treat. The patio and pool are stupendous, having great views of the harbour and just chilling out with a beer watching the boats entering& departing, was my thing!!Just the total ambience and chill factor made this my ideal holiday.

The villa will easilly accomodate 8, and if you work the maths out, this is cheaper than a 4 star hotel!!

The marina is very nice, with a most excellent restaurant, with very decent pricing, which is 2 mins away,by jumping over the small wall(my M-I-L did it pics on request!!!)

The small village is about a 5 min walk but uphill!! Good supermarket which is well stocked, get there early in the morning for the most beautiful fresh, hot bread.Brilliant Indian restaurant, and a couple of good bars.

Mahon is only a bus ride away with a regular service, but if you need a taxi ask the shop owners in the village and they will accomodate you.

If you want a most chilled out totally relaxing break to charge your batteries this is the place to be.

I never really wanted to reView this villa as I didnt want to let this hidden secret out of the bag!!!, but with respect to the owner,Simone( who is really great to deal with),may be this should be shared.

Would I go back?....YOU TRY AND STOP ME!!!!

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Mahon at 20 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Port d'Addaia at 0.1 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Port d'Addaia at 0.1 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Na Macaret at 2 Kilometres Car: recommended

Allegedly Menorca has more beaches than Majorca and Ibiza combined! There are local beaches within 5 mins drive from the villa. The safe, sandy and family-friendly beach of Arenal D'en Castell has plenty of family amenities. Na Macaret is smaller and lovely. Then Son Parc beach is c. 15 mins away.

You can fly from 17 UK airports to Mahon. Mahon Airport is c. 20 minute drive. Car hire is essential to explore this island. Flights from the UK: Birmingham, Gatwick, East Midlands, Luton, Manchester, Liverpool, Bristol, Newcastle, Leeds.

Mahon the capital is a 15-20 min drive away. Ciutadella about 30-40 minutes. Fornells fishing village, famous for good restaurants, is 15 mins drive.

Further Details:

You can walk to a range of local shops, bars and restaurants. There is also the Port Bar just the other side of the marina. Close enough to walk to in minutes and far enough not to be noisy.

There are also some fabulous restaurants on the islands - full listing available in the villa manual on arrival.

Historic Mahon - the capital is a 15-20 min drive away and well worth a thorough explore. Great little shops and fabulous food/fish markets, endless cafes and restaurants, sweeping stairways to more splendid views over the port.

There is some beautiful countryside and wildlife on Menorca making it popular with walkers and bird watchers. Es Grau and the stunning Albufera Natural Reserve is about 15 minutes away. Menorca itself is a walker's heaven and the magnificent Cami de Cavalls can be reached in c. 7 minutes walk up the hill behind the villa. I challenge visitors to take the 18km walk to Es Grau - absolutely stunning - but perhaps best avoided in the heat of July and August!

Fishing and game fishing is also available in Mahon.

Kayaks can be hired in the Marina in front of the villa to explore the Cala. There are several scuba diving centres on the island which run daily trips to some of the best dive sites in the Med.

I also recommend the Jeep Safari - great way to see hidden parts of the island and enjoy a really exciting off-road experience.

100% positive feedback from 2009-2012 visitors (English, French, Swiss, Norwegian, American) "the photos don't do it justice" . . . "we felt we had the best spot on Menorca" . . . "will definitely be back - thank you". And honestly, many of our guests simply don't move far from the villa "this is the best place just to sit and watch the world go back"
