Apartment in Mandelieu La Napoule, Nr. Cannes, Cote d'Azur

This modern apartment is situated within a gated community in the grounds of the Riviera Golf complex and is a great location for golfers and non-golfers alike. It is situated 30 mins drive from Nice airport. Within easy access are the resorts of Cannes, Antibes, Juan-les-Pins, Nice, Monaco, Villefranche (all by car or train) as well as St Tropez, Port Grimaud, Mougins, Valbonne, St Paul de Vence, Grasse (by car). A number of sandy beaches are only 5 mins drive away and the little town of la Napoule (5 mins drive) has a marina, beaches and great restaurants. A supermarket just down the road from the apartment will provide all your shopping needs. The apartment is furnished to a high standard. It is fully air-conditioned and includes all modern essentials including Sky TV (all UK channels), wi-fi, DVD player, washer/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven. It has a large terrace that enjoys afternoon and evening sun and a large shared pool.

About Claire Stones

We are a family of four who live in Cheshire. We love this apartment and treat it as our second home but, due to school holidays, are unable to visit as often as we would like. When we do stay we like to relax around the pool and visit the fantastic places which are within reach. Our young boys love the beach by the Chateau and so we spend a lot of time there. In the evenings we enjoy relaxing with wine and good food on the terrace.

Why Claire Stones chose Mandelieu-La Napoule

The French Riviera is so easy to get to from the UK. There are so many great places to visit - even after visiting many times since 2002 there are still places we haven't yet been to, but our favourites are Antibes, Monaco and Port Grimaud. The apartment is set in a peaceful location, but very close to the coast and all the towns along it. The village of Mandelieu la Napoule is only 5 mins by car and has a couple of fabulous beaches and a number of superb restaurants.

Plenty of space compared to many one bedroomed apartments; a fully equipped kitchen including almost any utensil or gadget you may require (our wedding list was for the apartment!); UK sky tv for the times you may want to just relax; a modern bathroom with overhead shower; a private terrace on the ground floor.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our 10 days here at the apartment. The apartment itself is fantastic - it worked perfectly for a family of four (two small children!). An excellent selection of appliances - it really was a home from home. The swimming pool was a real highlight for us as it was so safe and child friendly. We have had a fabulous time and will definitely return some day to see the places we didn't see this time and to further enjoy this lovely area and your fabulous apartment. Notes on accommodation: Full climate control. UK Sky TV and wi-fi Ideal for couples or families with two children. Fully equipped kitchen. Underground car parking space. Exterior car parking also available. Ideally located to explore the Côte d'Azur as it is mid-way between Saint Tropez to Monaco, but provides a peaceful retreat either on the private terrace, by one of the three swimming pools or enjoying the course or terrace at the Riviera golf club. The Geant hypermarket is a 5 minute drive away and the quaint town of la Napoule offers a wide variety of fabulous restaurants and a couple of beaches. Outside: Ground floor terrace has teak outdoor furniture comprising dining table and chairs for six and two sunloungers. The plants surrounding it make this a very private area. Three swimming pools on the complex all with large sunbathing terraces. 18 hole golf course on site. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels provided. Other: Long hallway provides plenty of wardrobe storage space and room for travel cot.

Great location, home from home

The apartment was perfect for us being a family of four with two young girls, 7 and 9 years. Mandelieu is a great location to venture out along the coast all the way from St Tropez to Monaco and beyond to Nice. Our girls loved having a choice of three swimming pools and a range of different beaches in the area to visit. The apartment had a great open plan kitchen which was well equipped and it was nice to be able to relax and have dinner outside on the terrace in the evenings. We would definitely like to return in the near future.

Golf Riviera Apartment.

Just returned from two weeks in this apartment. It's about half an hours steady drive from Nice airport. It's situated in a quiet, gated, residential area adjacent to the Riviera golf club. It's very secure and safe. It has both outdoor and indoor parking, walk from the car park to the apartment is probably under a minute.

The town and shops are about a five minute walk away. You are going to need a car. Beaches in the area are all a short drive. Our favourite was La Theoule sur mer.

The apartment is clean and modern with everything you could wish. It has wifi, French, English and Sky TV. It has a big private, furnished patio area, perfect for eating out, and it gets the sun in afternoon and early evening. I think the building must have very good sound insulation as we found it very quiet at night.

The complex has three pools, the nearest being about two minutes walk away. Never had a problem getting a sun lounger at any time of the day.

The public areas of the building are very well maintained and the gardens are beautiful and again spotlessly maintained.

Overall as good a rental apartment as you are likely to find.

Excellent apartment

We stayed here for one week and had a brilliant holiday. The apartment is very handy for Nice airport. We hired a car so we could travel around a bit and it was only a 20-30 minute drive from the airport. The apartment is in a nice safe quiet area with lovely gardens all perfectly maintained. It is very close to a local supermarket (can walk or drive!) and a few minutes drive from Mandelieu and La Napoule. There are great beaches approx a 5 minute drive!

The apartment was exactly as described and very clean and well equipped and we had everything we could ever need on a self catering holiday! We really enjoyed lazy lunches after a spot of swimming and sunbathing in the morning down at the pool. We also ventured out to visit Biot, St Paul de Vence and also Antibes which has a great many restaurants for an evening meal out.

We highly recommend this apartment and hopefully we will be lucky enough to go back another year!

Fantastic apartment

We had a 2 week stay here and everything was perfect. The apartment is so spacious and literally has everything you need right down to the best beach bag I have ever used! The outdoor sitting area is lovely and secluded and the whole complex is very peaceful. The pool close to the apartment is really relaxing and has lovely views. You do need a car but the walk down the hill to Mandelieu is very doable if you like walking. The tips given by Clare were all spot on and we followed so many of them. It's closeness to Cannes is great and you really are positioned so well for a holiday in this area. I would highly recommend this apartment and Clare the owner was a pleasure to deal with and their local agent Claudine was a really nice lady.

A Home From Home

A great apartment well located approximately 5 miles west of Cannes in an ideal location for exploring the Cote D'Azur.

The apartment is located within a secure gated community and both the apartment and the surroundings are well maintained.

A car is desirable if staying at this apartment although parking is easy either adjacent to the property or in the underground garage.

Having said that we walked the 20 minute walk into town on a couple of occasions and the 30 minute walk to the railway station at La Napoule to take the train along the cost to Nice, Antibes & Monaco.

Sandy beaches of la Napoule, situated under the Chateau, are 5 mins drive away.

La Rague and Theole - a number of gorgeous beaches which are ideal for children - 10 mins drive away.

The drive to Cannes passes miles of beaches, all with easy access parking (although this may be a struggle in August).

Cannes itself has a number of private pay beaches as well as a public beach.

In the opposite direction there are many lovely beaches on the coast towards St Raphael, many have watersports.


Nice airport is 30 minutes drive away. The apartment is 5 minutes drive off junction 40 of the A8 motorway.

The local railway station at la Napoule provides direct trains along the coast to Cannes, Antibes, Juan les Pins, Nice, Monaco and Menton.

Although very close to the attractions of the Cote d'Azur we do recommend that you hire a car.


The town of Mandelieu is 15 minutes walk, 3 minutes drive away.

Mandelieu la Napoule is 30 mins walk / 5 mins drive away. The train station here provides services to all towns along the coast to Monaco.

Cannes - 15 mins drive / 10 mins by train

Antibes - 20 mins drive / 30 mins by train

Nice - 30 mins drive / 40 mins by train

Monaco - 45 mins drive - 1 hr 15 mins by train

St Raphael - 40 mins drive / 40 mins by train

St Tropez / Port Grimaud - between 45 mins & 2 hrs depending on traffic!

Further Details:

Riviera Golf is the ideal location for a holiday on the Cote d'Azur. It provides a peaceful & relaxing base from which to explore the numerous attractions that the area has to offer, or if you prefer to stay put then the relaxing pool areas, terrace or golf club will be perfect to help you unwind.

If you are after a sunbathing holiday then you can choose to sit by one of the three pools, or visit any one of a number of beaches close by or along the coast.

If you are after a more energetic holiday then you can play golf on one of the dozen courses within an hour's drive, play tennis at the nearby courts, go sailing or try the watersports which are available at the beaches, go horseriding or walking in the hills nearby (guide available in the apartment). The Gorge of Verdon provides breathtaking scenery for a drive, a walk or kayacking or canoeing.

If you want to shop then head for Nice, Cannes or Monaco, or the fabulous shopping centre by the airport - Cap 3000 (ideal if you have a day of bad weather).

If you have children then the beaches are safe and clean, the complex pools are enclosed by railings & there are a number of children's attractions in the area including the waterparks at Frejus (30 mins drive) & Antibes (20 mins drive), as well as Marineland (Antibes), Koalaland (Menton - 50 mins drive) & the Oceanographic Museum in Monaco.

There are a number of delightful Provencal villages very close by all with traditional village squares, arts & crafts, markets, local restaurants - try Mougins (15 mins drive), Valbonne (25 mins drive) and St Paul de Vence (45 mins drive).

If you want to eat well then you can dine anywhere from 'cheap and cheerful' pizzerias to 2-starred Michelin restaurants...& that's just in la Napoule, never mind Cannes or Monaco, although our favourite evening involves an early evening drink in one of the bars overlooking the marina & then back home to cook a gourmet meal & enjoy it on the candlelit terrace.

Changeover Day:
Usually Saturday, but can be flexible dependent on bookings already taken. Check-in time is 4pm and check-out is 10am. Our agent can meet and greet you up until 20.00 hours (22.00 by exception and with an additional 20 euros charge).
