With it's large lounge, well equipped kitchen/diner, private study and 4 generous bedrooms, you will not be disappointed with the facilities this villa has to offer. The house is surrounded on all 4 sides by vineyards so you don't have to worry about neighbours. The garden is private and interesting with both sunny and shaded areas for keeping cool in the hot summer months. The private 11 x 6m swimming pool with roman steps has been completely refurbished by the current owners. The 4 delightful bedrooms all have en-suite bathroom and toilet facilities and all 4 bedrooms have air-conditioning. There is a separate private study with telephone and wi-fi internet access and views through the trees to Mont Ventoux - perfect for keeping in touch with those at home, surfing the net, writing a postcard or just enjoying the time to ponder and think. Notes on accommodation: All 4 bedrooms have radiators and reversible air-conditioning (cools in summer and heats in winter). The house has central heating to radiators for the winter months. The swimming pool is fenced according to the strict French regulations but this cannot be considered a replacement for adult supervision. Children should always be supervised in the garden and around the pool. Outside: The house sits in the middle of a half acre plot which itself is surrounded on all 4 sides by vineyards. There are sunny and shady areas in the garden. The private 10 x 6m swimming pool, refurbished in 2009, has Roman steps and a shallow end of 1m and deep end of 1.5m. There are 8 sun loungers around the pool. The large south facing terrace is accessed from the kitchen and living room and overlooks vineyards and Mont Ventoux. There is a traditional wrought iron table & 8 chairs. Weber gas BBQ. Utility Room: The utility room has a sink, washing machine, clothes airer and storage area for recycling items (glass, plastic etc). There is also a second fridge/freezer (in addition to the one in the kitchen). Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Linen and bathroom towels are included in the price. The house will be cleaned and linen changed weekly. Bathroom towels are changed twice weekly. Other: The study has views onto the pool, the vineyards beyond and Mont Ventoux in the distance. There is a desk and lamp, telephone (free calls to fixed lines around the world) and broadband internet WiFi unit. Books and a selection of children's games.

A real gem of a place in provence

We had a lovely 2 week holiday at Le Clos the villa is spotlessly clean and Alison/Steve could not do enough for us even had fresh lillies in the hall. The views from the terrace of mount Ventoux are superb the area is spectacular with vineyards and villages everywhere restaurant in Cairanne is very good boulangerie in Roaix is fabulous as is the pool area ,boule court ,swings, and The Den cant wait to come back Llewellin-Mace family

A blissful retreat

Not sure how to even articulate our happiness, gratitude and our awe of your home. We have travelled all over the world and without a doubt this vacation has been our favourite easily for a number of reasons. 1, This house is perfect in every way. The bedrooms and the kitchen (where we lived) were excellent and we could live on the patio for the views. 2, Location, location, location. I was unsure about this area since I had never been here but after doing tons of day trips we fell in love with it and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. We loved the markets, restaurants, wineries, views etc. 3, You guys were the best hosts. Not only did we love all the tips in your book and the welcome basket plus all the suggestions, but you made everything so accommodating for our baby boy. You had everything we needed, we were truly able to make this our home for a month. Thank you again for everything and hopefully you’ll welcome us back when we visit again..!

Perfect Provence

We were 4 couples looking to cycle, tour, wine and dine . The house exceeded our expectations and was perfect . Steve and Alison are such attentive owners and have thought of everything to make stay comfortable. Location was perfect- close to Vaison but so private. We ate on the patio most evenings after picking up breads and meats at nearby stores. Can't wait to return

Perfection

I have been holidaying in France for years and for the first time ever I will be returning to the same house next year, having found perfection. A spacious house with everything you need, great views, pool, terrace every bedroom ensuite, all kept beautifully. Thanks for everything Alison and Steve, see you next year.

Life savers

Steve and Alison came to our rescue when a last minute work trip collided with Le Tour going up Ventoux and the Bastile day holiday. They couldn't have been more accommodating and the house couldn't have been better. I only made it into the pool one night - but mainly because I spent the evenings cooking for my work colleagues! Clos des Pins couldn't be better appointed and it was an absolute saviour for us. Thanks.

Lovely villa set in a beautiful location.

This is a wonderful villa with lovely bedrooms, living room, a good kitchen and fantastic outdoor space with BBQ and pool. The location is stunning with views of Mt Ventoux and Rhone vineyards. It is also a great location to visit villages like Seguret, Gigondas and Chateauneuf du Pape. I would highly recommend Clos des Pins,

Car: necessary

Coast/Beach:

The beaches in Marseille, Cassis, Sete are all around 1 hour 45 minutes drive from the villa. The Camargue is around 1 hour 30 minutes from the villa.

Travel:

A Car is essential unless you are very keen cyclists (there are 2 bikes at the villa provided free of charge). Additional bike hire is available in Vaison. Nearest Airports:- Nimes 90km, 55 mins. Marseilles 100km, 1 hour. Avignon 40km, 35 mins. Train stations:- Avignon Central & Avignon TGV 40km, 35 mins. (All times are driving times)

Distances:

Towns & Villages:- Roaix 3km, less than 5 mins. Villedieu 3km, less than 5 mins. Vaison la Romaine 5km, 5 mins. Orange 18km, 25 mins. Carpentras 22km, 30 mins. Avignon 35km, 40 mins. (All times are driving times).

Further Details:

Explore the local town of Vaison-la-Romaine, just 5km away, with it's Roman remains and fantastic Provencal market every Tuesday morning. Try one of the 3 restaurants in your nearest village, Villedieu, just 3 minutes away - simple alfresco dining the French way (summer only). Or go further afield and enjoy days out in Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Fontaine de Vaucluse, the famous Luberon villages of Gordes, Lacoste, Roussillon, Menerbes, Bonnieux & Apt all within an hour from the house. Try canoeing down the River Sorgue from Fontaine de Vaucluse, horse riding just 2km away, cycling around the local villages or a bit of wine tasting at one of the many caves in the area. The famous villages of Gigondas, Chateauneuf-du-Pape, Vacqueras and Rasteau are all within 15/20 minutes of the house.

Booking Notes:
A 35% deposit is required to secure your booking with the final balance due 8 weeks before your arrival. A 300 Euro security deposit is required on arrival. This will be returned to you (less any damage costs) on departure.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is normally a Saturday but this can be flexible out of season and at Christmas. Arrival time is after 4pm on your first day and departure time before 10:00am on your last day.

Prices are for the property per week in euros. Weekly prices are based on the price of the starting Saturday. Up to 40% low occupancy discounts available - see our own website for details. The link is available further down the page.
