we thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the house was lovely and clean and had everything we needed. It is in such a lovely location with walks straight from the door but also very close to Tolmin for the beautiful gorge and numerous other walks. Thank you so much!
Comfortable country house in a small village in the beautiful Soča valley
Comfortable country house that had everything we needed. Patrick, the host, answered any queries promptly. Small village with a pizza restaurant, supermarket in Tolmin, approx 5 mins drive. Easy access to lots of activities in the Soča valley - walking, cycling, rafting, river swimming…… A wonderful holiday.

Highly recommended
This is a beautifully converted farm house on the edge of a wood at the foot of a mountain. It has gorgeous views and the rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished. The position is wonderful with quick and easy access to the major tourist attrcations. At the same time, it is wonderfully quiet and quite secluded. Patrick is full of helpful advice and is very accomodating. I highly recommend this cottage to families! We had a great time!

Lovely Family Holiday
It was difficult to convince the owners of the Farmhouse to rent it to us in the winter season..and yes, the house was a bit cold. But all the other aspects of our stay made up for this shortcoming. We were 4 adults and two children. The house was comfortable and well situated. We were able to cross over and back form the Julian alps to the Italian Alps. We even spent a couple of days skiing. It was fun getting wood for the woodburning stove, and nice to warm ourselves at the end of a tiring days tour. We would certainly recommend staying at the Slovenian Farmhouse in Ciginj. Its certain to be even more wonderful during the gorgeous Slovenian summer months.

Cozy and Quaint
Excellent Family House
We stayed at the Traditional Farmhouse in April. We are a couple with three boys and one girl aged 7-14. This was the perfect vacation home for us. We were able to BBQ and walk in the forest just behind the house. We discovered brooks and creaks, and even a lovely waterfall. The view of the Julian Alps was breath taking. Cozy and quaint in the little hamlet of Ciginj, all of Slovenia was easily accessible to us. We particularly enjoyed cycling from village to village and the adventure sports and swimming on the Soca River.
