What a lovely villa we have discovered! We really appreciated the attention to detail- nothing has been overlooked - together with the beautiful flowers in the garden and the mass of wild-life all around. Thank you for your kindness, your fruit and your company and thank you too for the jam! You are an inspiration - we will be back!

Helen and Mary, Oxford. Sept 2014.

Second time here and third time already booked. Everything we could wish for is here. Can't wait for next year - but we will still be hopeless at Spanish!

Paradise found!

  • 5 of 5

We've visited Spain for several years now and Casa la Fuente owned by Sarah and Viv is the most beautiful, best equiped and comfortable casa we've stayed in so far! The casa is equiped with everything we northern europeans are accustomed to without losing the Spanish feel. Beside that, it's located in, what we believe is the most beautiful part of Andalusia. The surroundings are stunning and there're plenty of interesting and beautiful places to visit and things to do. Not that it's necessary to leave the premisses! Viv and Sarah are great people, who know a lot of interesting things about the surroundings. They will help you out with everything and make the most amazing baklava we've ever had! Their land provides delicious fruit and vegtables. Tomatoes and oranges will never taste the seem once you've tasted them there! The garden and pool are great and the only thing you hear while waking up in the morning is the singing of birds. We're convinced we've found our little piece of heaven! The booking for this year is already made!

Casa de la Fuente

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we drove through the gate we felt at home. The welcome was relaxed and friendly and the owners have taken great care to ensure that guests have everything they need in this luxurious villa. A generous welcome pack provides essentials for a supper, breakfast, ( with homemade preserves), and the all important bottle of wine! The owner is happy to suggest places of interest: the Roman ruins at Bolonia and whale watching in the Straits of Gibraltar are highly recommended. The nearby town of Vejer is a must and the area is renowned for its beautiful beaches. On lazy days it's great to relax by the beautifully landscaped private pool and, in the right season, gorge on oranges plucked straight from the trees. This year will be our third visit and certainly not our last.

Check In and Chill Out

  • 5 of 5

What you see is exactly what you get and more. The cottage is really well equipped, clean and well maintained. The private pool area is fabulous and, if you're not that adventurous, you could probably spend your entire time relaxing there.

However, if you are more adventurous, historic Vejer is a five minute drive with all its charming restaurants and bars and El Palmar is just one of many unspoilt beaches nearby.

Cadiz, Gibraltar, Jerez and Seville are all within easy driving distance and make great days out. Also, anyone who enjoys walking will love the hill walks in and around La Fuente. The glorious weather helps!

I have been back 'home' several times and always receive a warm welcome from the owners who are on hand to help or give advice on anything you may need.

For anyone looking for a quiet relaxing holiday or wanting to get out and about to experience the 'real' Spain (or both), I can't recommend La Fuente enough.

As soon as we passed through the gates we felt at home. The friendly, casual introduction to the property made us feel immediately relaxed. The generous welcome pack was the best we'd ever had and was supplemented during our stay with homemade jam and marmalade made with fruit from the garden. The villa itself is top quality with every facility provided, even down to U.K plug sockets! Viv, one of the owners, gave loads of help and info on what to do and see in the area and picked out the best Italian restaurant ever! We'll certainly be back!
