About David Henderson

I am a self employed health professional,married with 4 grown up children, living in Northern Ireland. We have owned this property from new in 2001 and never tire of spending our holidays there. As our own expectations are high we ensure that the apartment is maintained to a high standard for both our own use and also our rental clients. We chose the Algarve because of the quality of the environment,the beaches, golf courses, safe cycling and the fresh food and great restaurants. The area is uncrowded even in summertime. The Portuguese people are very friendly and have always made us feel welcome. It really is a second home.

Special interest holidays:

Ria Formosa nature reserve is well known for it's bird life and there are nature trails 10 minutes walk from the apartment. Also ideal for cycling, bicycles can be hired locally. Horse riding is available locally. Golf driving range 2 Km. Five golf courses in Quinta do Lago, two in neighbouring Vale do Lobo. Many more in Vilamoura.


A 20 minute walk to the Quinta do Lago beach, finally crossing over the famous wooden foot bridge. Gigi's seafood restaurant is one of 3 beach restaurants within walking distance.

You can drive to the beach in 5 minutes.


Faro airport comfortably in 25 minutes (approx 12 miles). Car hire recommended (payable locally).


Quinta shopping 3km. Almancil 15 min drive for all amenities. Vale do Lobo 10 min drive., Quarteira 15 mins. Vilamoura marina 20 mins. Loule and Faro old town about 20 mins.

From 1st January 2016 I will be registered with the Portuguese authorities as a provider of holiday accommodation. This is new legislation which was enacted to improve the standards of properties which are offered to holiday makers. I am registered with the Camara de Loule, my Alojamento Local registration number is 19518/AL. As a result of this I now have to charge VAT at the rate of 6%. This is included in the quoted rental rates for the apartment.

Changeover Day:
Flexible but Sunday check ins will incur an extra charge. Arrival time, if occupied, after 4pm and departure by 10am but this can be flexible.

The pool is attended during the peak holiday seasons. Utility Room: Iron and ironing board, clothes horse. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Maid service three times a week, or more frequently can be arranged. Bed linen changed once a week, towels twice a week. Pool towels are provided.
