This beautifully decorated apartment is just a stone's throw from a lovely sheltered bay, and a few streets from the charming centre of Sao Martinho. The Silver Coast is famous for stunning sandy beaches and world-class waves, yet Sao Martinho has a picturesque sheltered beach that is perfect for families with children. The apartment building is new and modern, with a very lovely poolside garden area. It is on the south side of town, close to an excellent supermarket and next to a very quiet train station.

We had a great time, the apartment is fantastic, well situated, well equipped and spotlessly clean. I did mean to write a positive comment in your visitors' book but forgot. The area is lovely. We visited Tomar, Fatima, Alcobaca, Obidos and Nazare and walked the length of the bay in SMP

Many thanks for letting us stay in your lovely apartment - we had a very successful and relaxing vacation in SMP!

Maureen was very kind and took good care of us when we arrived.

The apartment exceeded our expectations: it was bright and spacious, the big balconies to opposite directions a big plus, the pool area probably on of the best in the area and the location and beach excellent.

We really enjoyed the good food and the all the lovely fresh fruits and vegetables from the fruit lady by the train station.

Comfortable, spacious, secure, well equipped, well maintained and easy to feel at home in.

Ideally situated with very easy access to the beach, town, shops and restaurants. The apartment is homely and well equipped in the kitchen, living room (games and kids activities), all you need for the spacious pool and a comfortable place to relax and enjoy your stay. Easy access to motorways and right next to train station.

We love Sao Martinho do Porto because of the fantastic shopping in the area. There are some beautiful beaches and the horseshoe shaped bay boasts a great range of bars and restaurants. There really is something for everyone here. The area is easily accessible with Lisbon airport about than an hours drive away.

Coast/Beach:

The sheltered, sandy beach is approximately 200 metres away. It is unique for the Atlantic in that it is shallow and safe, with very small waves. Just 15km away is Nazare, a much wilder, more treacherous beach!

Travel:

60 minutes drive north from Lisbon Portelo International Airport, along the A8. About 2 hours drive south from Porto and 2.5 hours drive north from Faro.

Distances:

Nazare 15km. Obidos 26km. Alcobaca 20km. Lisbon 110km. (Airport 82km). Caldas da Rainha 17km. Peniche 50km. Praia del Rei 43km.

Further Details:

Notes:

  • Notes on accommodation: The apartment is heated by gas central heating, instructions for which will be provided. All windows have electric blinds, which must be closed when the property is vacated. Outside: Outside is a large shared landscaped garden with pool. There is a selection of garden furniture for use on the balcony and garden. There are showers and toilets in the pool area. There is secure underground parking and additional free parking at the front of the building. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Towels and linen are provided. Some beach towels are provided. The house keeper cleans the apartment at 12:00 on day of departure. We do ask you to clean the apartment towels in the morning of departure using the apartment's washing machine. Other: 2 large balconies, big enough for the whole family to sit out on. The apartment has a large private garage for parking cars etc, essential in the summer when parking is at a premium.
