Villa Tara is the perfect villa for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful setting. This 4 bedroom and 5 bathroom villa offers space and comfort for a family or group of friends. All the rooms and 3 outside terraces have breathtaking views over the bay. There are 2 lounges, one with access to the pool and the other with access to the first floor terrace. The roof terrace is the ideal spot for enjoying a cocktail watching the spectacular sunsets and the unspoilt view over Kalamar Bay. The private pool is graduated and set in lovely gardens.

Close by is Kalamar beach club offering diving and water sports. The local restaurants, bars and shops of Kalamar are just a 5 minute walk. The picturesque town of Kalkan is close by and easily walked in 15 minutes or get a local taxi for less than £4. Kalkan has a wide choice of shops, restaurants and bars. Free Wifi available. New for 2016 Mitsubishi air conditioning in each room.

Guests can enjoy the outdoor life as there are 3 large outdoor terraces; by the pool there is a shaded terrace with a table and chairs, off the living area is a large shaded dining terrace and on the roof there is a large terrace with seating and a table. There is a small kitchen on the roof with a fridge for handy storage of drinks for cocktails. Take the BBQ to the roof and have a truly memorable experience under the stars.

The views from the roof and dining terrace are spectacular, you will take many wonderful memories home.

The villa has its own a private pool with towels, sunbeds and umbrellas provided. There is a jungle shower by the pool for cooling down and a BBQ for enjoying outdoor dining.

The villa has gardens to the front and rear of the villa- you can pick your own lemons, pomegranate, and olives. There is a car port at the front of the house.

As the villa is close to amenities a car is not essential. It is a short walk to the beach club, restaurants, shops and bars. There is a good bus/dolmus service in Kalkan so it is easy to explore the local area. Taxis are plentiful and cheap. You can hire the driver for the day for guided tours. There is also car and scooter hire available locally.

Services

We can arrange transfers from the airport. Please let us know if you wish to book. We provide a welcome hamper to get you started. If you are here on a 2 week stay the villa is cleaned mid stay. Our caretaker visits daily to clean the pool and tend the gardens. He is able to respond to any emergencies or maintenance issues.

About Huseyin Dogan

I am from Kalkan and my family have homes in the village as well as in Bezirgan. I met my Irish wife 16 years ago and we had a multi cultural wedding in Kalkan: bagpipes, kilts and confetti. We have had our villa for 5 years and chose it for its wonderful location in Kalamar Bay. The views are fantastic and it is in a quiet location but close to nightlife.

My wife and I met in Kalkan. My wife, her family and friends enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the area and the fact that it has not been spoiled by tourism. Villa Tara is in Kalamar, a beautiful and peaceful bay within easy walk of the nightlife of the Kalamar and Kalkan town. We chose the villa for its location and for the views. The beautiful coastline and fabulous views of Kalkan and Kalamar Bay still inspire us. My wife loves the culture of the area with its numerous ancient sites and wonderful gorges and mountains. The people of the area are welcoming and friendly- my wife says they have a lot in common with the Irish and enjoys the craic. The other highlight of is the wonderful food and vast choice of restaurants, cafes, bars and shops.

What makes this villa unique

Our villa offers a flexible choice for couples and families with the lower ground floor offering a separate lounge, bedroom and en-suite. The villa has lots of outside space giving lots of options for BBQs and dining. The villa enjoys fabulous views over the bay and all rooms have balconies or outside terraces. Set at the top of the bay it is a short walk to the local shops and restaurants. The town of Kalkan is only 15 mins walk -no big hills. We like Kalamar beach club only 5 minutes walk and they give you a lift back.

Notes on accommodation: We provide a good range of English DVDs, board games and books for your entertainment. Outside: The villa is set in landscaped gardens with colourful plants especially the bouganvillea which climbs up and over the villa and terraces. You can pick your own limes, olives, oranges, lemons, bananas and pomegranate from the garden. The swimming pool is for guests private use and is cleaned daily. The pool area has sun loungers, an outdoor jungle shower and a shaded patio area. There is a table and chairs by the pool for dining outside with space for a BBQ. Each room in the villa has access to outside space. The bedrooms have a balcony with a table and chairs for relaxing. The roof terrace offers spectacular views over the bay and is furnished with comfortable chairs and a table for relaxing with a cocktail to enjoy the sunsets. There is a small kitchenette off the roof terrace for preparing drinks and snacks and a small fridge. During the heat off high summer the roof terrace gets cool breezes in the evening and is the ideal place for a BBQ. Utility Room: Washing machine, drying rack, iron and iron board. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bed linen and towels (for bathroom use) are provided and changed weekly. We provide towels for use at beach. The villa is cleaned weekly. Extra cleaning can be arranged at an extra cost. Welcome hamper provided. Shopping service provided. Other: Off the first floor lounge is a large terrace with dining table for 10 people with lovely views over the pool and sea. The pool and gardens have lights for night use. The villa has a car park to the front.

A 25% non refundable deposit secures the booking with the remainder to be paid 6 weeks before departure. All payments are non refundable. Payment by paypal or bank transfer. Check in time is 15.00 and check out time is 11.00. We are flexible with check in and out times.

Changeover Day:
We are flexible about rental days and times of arrival and departure.
