Villa in Le Rayol-Canadel, Nr. Le Lavandou, Cote D'Azur, France - Short Drive To Sandy Beaches

Our villa is situated in a quiet part of Le Rayol-Canadel, the busy D559 cannot be heard up here. Four sandy beaches within 5 minutes. Great spot for snorkeling and sailing. The street is a dead-end street that continues as a forest-track, that can be the start for endless walks in the 'Forest des Maures'. You will not believe that you are in the 'Cote d'Azur' here. It's still a bit - yes primitive here....except for the heated pool ofcourse... We like it because of that; no packed beaches like in Frejus or Saint-Maxime. Nevertheless: lot's of nice restaurants either on the beach or in lovely villages like Cavalaire and Le Lavandou are within 10-15 minutes.

Excellent house in beautiful setting

May 2014: we spent a pleasant and restful week in this house.

It is well-equiped, practical and clean. Beautiful patios and well-tended garden, lovely views on the Mediterranean Sea, very tranquil and pretty surroundings. Owners next door are friendly and discreet.

Our pool is heated with a powerfull heat-exchanger, that provides easily 28 degrees....together with the automatic childsafe poolcover...it makes a big difference.....for your holiday! Nearest rocky beach is 1700 metres away, nearest sandy beach is 2000 metres. There are 4 sandy beaches within 5 minutes drive, all with good parking nearby. All those sandy beaches are situated in small bays, so on both sides rocks - meaning: paradise for snorkeling/diving! Since this spot in not spoiled by mass-tourism, there is plenty of space to be found. Very good sailing-school within 5 minutes, courses for children from 6 years on. Same for para-sailing, water skiing and jet skiing, etc.


Nearest airport is Toulon/Hyeres, which is about 30 minutes away (Ryan Air, Transavia, Air France have all regular flights on this airport). Both Nice and Marseille international airports are about 2 hours away.


Saint-Tropez is only 30 minutes away. The villa is situated between Cavalaire and Le Lavandou; both villages with hundreds of restaurants, terraces, ports and beaches. Everything you can think of can be found here! Most important: it's still not spoiled by mass-tourism. The hectic situations like in Frejus, Saint-Maxime and so, cannot be found here.

Further Details:

8 big supermarkets are within 10 minutes drive, smaller ones within 5 minutes. Fresh bread can be found downhill (in peak season). Many, many restaurants, the nearest ones are situated on the beaches (5 minutes). Other ones in e.g Le Lavandou or Cavalaire. Don't worry, we've checked many of them and you can trust our small 'Michelin guide'. Very special about this spot, are the beautiful islands - like Port Cros and Porquerolles, they can be reached easily with the ferry's from Le Lavandou. For the rest: we can give you many suggestions for things to do, also with your children, everything within reach. We have explored the whole region and we claim to believe that we know it well, but it still surprises us every time. We give an extra effort to keep the pool clean!

Stay tax £1.48 per night, per person. This amount will be due to the owner upon arrival. Does not apply to children under 18 years.

Booking Notes:
A non-refundable deposit of 30% is to payed after signing the booking form and accepting the house rules. The balance is payable latest 8 weeks before the day of arrival. All prices are in euros.

Changeover Day:
In peak season the changeover day is Saturday: arrival earliest at 16.00 hrs in the afternoon and departure latest at 10.00 hrs in the morning. From November until March, we are flexible on changeover days! We do not give any discounts on our rates!

Notes on prices:
Prices are for the property per week in euros. Price for the additional apartment on demand. Bedlinens and bathtowels are included. Water (within reason) and 25 Kwh electricity per day are also included. Tourist tax is payable on the spot. Family lettings only! No groups! No animals allowed. We do not give any discounts on our rates.

  • Notes on accommodation: Every room has it's own new electric heating, which is very economic. The 3 bedrooms have a central air-con-unit and the windows have also mosquito-screens. Many English books and magazines are available. Wi-fi internet is available. Possibility to rent and additional apartment with 2 more bedrooms (only to be rented in conjunction with the villa). Outside: There is an outdoor barbecue and enough outdoor seating for 10 people. Half of the south faced terraces are covered, so there would be enough shade. Besides that, the majority of the land is kept natural, so has original cork-oak trees, mimosas, arbousiers, palm trees, eucalyptus, agaves etc. Big sandpit is situated under the trees. Parasols (also a beach-parasol) are also available. Ping-pong, swing, sand-pit and other outdoor things for adventurous children. Utility Room: Washing machine. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Bedlinen and bath towels are included. Other: We provide a lot of toys for kids between 3 and 12, plus ping-pong table and of course toys for the pool. The pool has an bench with an integrated jacuzzi. Family lettings only! No groups! No animals allowed!
