About Judi Fordom

We live in the Sussex countryside and so enjoy the attraction of a small French Village by the Sea, we have worked hard to create a cosy little house and turned it into a home from home rather than just a holiday bolt hole.

Judi Fordom purchased this house in 2005

Why Judi Fordom chose Beziers area

We bought our little corner of France in 2005, having visited Carcassonne for a long weekend - fell in love with our village located on the Canal Midi -the area with its beautiful vineyards and long white sandy beaches - had it all for us !

Hope you will love it as much as we do !

Guestbook comments from the owner

Lovely little house in a quiet relaxing French village.

Left on Jun 5, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

The house is on three levels, quite quirky but very clean and much loved. Its very well equipped. We made quite a few meals there. The location is very quiet with everything you need. A couple of restaurants. A couple of pubs. Two patisseries where you can get your croissants or pain au chocolate for your breakfast. A Spar shop which sells everything you need. The staff don't speak English but were very friendly and helpful. In fact everyone we met were very friendly. The canal du midi was about 10 minutes walk away then you could have a lovely walk along the canal to the beach. This took about an hour. You can hire a bike if you wish. The buses weren't running to the beach when we were there but it was the first week of the season. There were buses to Beziers, which is a beautiful city. Of course if you hire a car everything is very accessible. You couldn't get a more relaxed, quiet, quintessential French village.

Owner's Response: The reason our neighbour knew the entry code, is because they look after the house when we are not there, and are very good trustworthy friends Judi.

wonderful location, and very friendly village!

  • 4 of 5

The house was smaller and what we thought, but got used it, and the steep stair case !! But homely! and YES WE HAD A LOVELY HOLIDAY THERE!, only complaint was the shutters on downstairs window, did not open as seen in photos its open, and made the kitchen dark!

And would go back!

Owner's Response: Stairs do take a bit of getting used too, all part of the character of these 300 year old village houses. Downstairs kitchen shutters do open fully as per the photo, they fold out and then back onto themselves, giving full light and sunshine ! Will leave a note on the shutters to this affect.
