Accommodation with Private Pool and Stunning Sea and Mountain Views

Updated: 30-Sep-2016
Villa in Ineia, Nr. Polis and Latchi, Paphos, Cyprus - Traditional Cypriot Village, Location within Walking Distance to Tavernas

Villa Julieann has 3 bedrooms and two family bathrooms (one on each floor). There is a large living/dining room and a luxurious fitted kitchen with black granite work surfaces and a double granite sink with mixer taps. Outside it has a enclosed garden with kidney-shaped pool and a shaded pergola for when the sun gets too much. There is also a large private garage with automatic motorised doors. Located in the traditional Cypriot village of Ineia, together with its' sister village, Drouseia, the villa is conveniently located for both the wild splendour of the Akamas, yet is only 15 minutes from Coral Bay, Paphos and a similar distance from Polis/Latchi. It therefore offers the best of both worlds; for those looking for peace and tranquility and for those who prefer a more dynamic holiday. A number of tavernas and coffee shops within a 10 minute walk abound in both Ineia and Drouseia. Both villages also have a number of local shops and 'supermarkets' for last-minute essentials.

The TV includes movies, TV series from around the world, UK terrestrial programmes (BBC, ITV, Channel 4 etc...) as well as sports programmes.

About the Owner

Hi, Thank you for the interest in our beautiful property in Cyprus. Julie and I settled in Cyprus in September 2008 looking for and I am glad to say finding, a more relaxed way of life. We chose Cyprus after having many fantastic holidays here in the past and fell in love with island and its' people. Originally from Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, the contrast between our previous life in the UK and now couldn't be greater. Waking up every morning to blue skies and warm/hot weather makes the dull, cold and wet days of our past seem a lifetime away.

Thank you both for a perfect 2 weeks in your beautiful villa in a great location. The welcome pack was much appreciated, together with your attention for our well-being and comfort. We wish you both well and hope to meet you both again in the near future.

Hi Steve and Julie,

thank you so much for making our first visit to Cyprus an enjoyable one. Your villa is beautiful and feels like home already - we will be sorry to leave.

We have enjoyed several day trips including a drive to the Troodos mountains and a boat trip to the Blue Lagoon. But we also spent several lovely, relaxing days by the pool - thank you for cleaning it for us so thoroughly and frequently.

Kyle and Jenny, Edinburgh

Had a fabulous 2 weeks in this lovely villa. Views were fantastic and a lovely place to relax. Wonderful view of the sunset if you take a stroll out of the villa to the big rock on the way to Lara Beach.

Favourite restaurant Yiannis (apple cake very nice), Imogens and Petradaki in Kathikas.

Thank you to Julie and Steve for your warm welcome and allowing us to share your lovely home. Hope to return.

Ron, Pat, Andy and Jill.

We have a brilliant stay at this wonderful villa in Ineia. It was everything and more that we expected and is one of the better villas that we have stayed in around the world.

The fixtures and fitting are real quality, we loved the large "American style" fridge freezer which delivered chilled water, ice or crushed ice at the push of a button. The WiFi was more than adequate for keeping in touch with family and friends and the DVD/CD collection extensive.

Ineia is a charming Cypriot village with a new central square, coffee shops and some lovely restaurants close by in Drouseia and Kathikas.

All in all a brilliant holiday experience.

Beautiful high standard villa

  • 5 of 5

Fantastic, beautifully decorated, very clean and tidy, well equipped, high standard villa with everything you would need to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.

We stayed for two weeks at Villa Julieann during July 2014. The location is just outside Ineia village and has beautiful views of the mountains and sea. Being a little higher up there was often a much appreciated gentle breeze.

The owners, Steve and Julie, are lovely and very hospitable providing us with a welcome pack upon arrival and ensuring our stay was comfortable throughout. Their folder of information and knowledge of the area and best places to visit was very helpful. The locals are very friendly and also helpful.

We ate out regularly in the nearby village of Kathikas where I would recommend the farmyard restaurant and Petradaki Taverna. You will also find the Sterna Winery here, where you can sample their produce!

The villa far exceeded our expectations and we would definitely return here for another holiday.

From the Owner

The location is splendid, being in a Cypriot village, we are close enough to the facilities of Polis and Paphos whilst being able to enjoy the quieter, traditional way of Cypriot life.Being right on the doorstep of the Akamas and Lara Bay, there is ample opportunity for walking and other outdoor activities such as birdwatching or fishing. The villa also benefits from being at a higher altitude than the coastal resorts which means that as well as being able to observe the changing seasons, it also has a cooling breeze during the height of summer which takes the edge from the really hot temperatures. The Cypriot spring is a great time to be in Ineia with the countryside taking on real colour with the spring flowers in bloom. Autumn too is great for outdoors activities being not too hot.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Paphos at 40 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Drouseia at 1 Kilometres Nearest Golf : Tsada at 20 Kilometres Nearest Restaurant : Drouseia at 1 Kilometres Nearest Ski : Troodos Nearest Beach : Polis at 8 Kilometres

The village of Ineia is equidistant between Coral Bay (Paphos) and Polis/Latchi. Both are around 15 minutes drive. The best beach (IMO) is Lara Bay which can be reached by both a concrete road and an unmade road (4X4 recommended). Lara is approximately 15 minutes drive and sustains a turtle breeding sanctuary so may not be open during certain months, however when open has miles of unspoilt, golden sand and a gently sloping beach, ideal for children.

Ineia is about 30 minutes from Paphos Airport where cars can be rented. As the village is relatively remote - a car is essential both for getting to the village and exploring further afield.

The town of Paphos is about 20 minutes away with Polis around 15 minutes drive. A motorway connects Paphos with the major cities of Nicosia, Larnaca and Limassol so travel is relatively easy for those wishing to explore this beautiful island.

Further Details:

Both Ineia and Drouseia contain a number of tavernas, coffee shops and 'supermarkets' all within easy walking distance. The closest town for banks, supermarkets and a wider-range of dining options is Polis which is 15 minutes away. Next-door to Polis is the Latchi. With its' marina and quay-side restaurants. Latchi is an ideal location for a sun downer and for dining at one of its many sea-food restaurants. Latchi has all of the water sport activities that one would expect including fishing, boat hire, diving/snorkelling etc. For those seeking a livelier holiday experience - Coral Bay with its numerous bars, clubs and restaurants is also around 15 minutes drive. The pretty hillside village of Kathikas is about 10 minutes drive. Kathikas has a several award-winning eateries. Villa Julieann is ideally situated for those looking for a more outdoors style holiday. It is located on the edge of the Akamas and affords great walking and cycling opportunities as well as fishing, bird and nature watching. The trans-Cyprus E4 hiking route passes nearby and for those who want to explore the Akamas from the comfort of a vehicle, a number of companies offer 'Akamas safaris'. The village of Ineia has a slow, traditional pace of life with the principal industry being agriculture. Life in the village goes on as it has for hundreds of years with donkeys still used for tending the fields and goats grazing on the nearby hills. Every morning, the 'old men' of the village will visit their favourite coffee shop to catch-up on the local gossip and in the evening, when the heat of the days is subsiding, the women will go for a walk.

From the Owner

Most properties in Cyprus offer the hot, sunny days that a lot of holidaymakers look for, with a pool to cool off in at the hottest time of the day. You get all of this at Villa Julieann, but you also get the opportunity to see a traditional way of life that is all too quickly dying out in Cyprus. We still get some of the older villagers passing the villa on donkey-back whilst going to collect wood for their fires or ripe fruit and vegetables from the fields. We also regularly have goats pass the villa as the goatherd moves them to pastures new for grazing. Even though the villa is out in the Cyprus countryside, you are still only 15 minutes drive from 'the big city' of Polis with all of the convenience that is on offer there. Additionally, all of the local villages offer great food.

  • Notes on accommodation: Villa Julieann benefits from full central heating, and all rooms have air-conditioning. The villa has been finished to a very high standard with quality floor tiling throughout. All rooms have ceiling fans and the villa has several outside patios and balconies for alfresco dining. It has a south-facing aspect and receives the sun on all but the coldest of Winter days. There is a free welcome pack on arrival. Outside: As most of a holiday in Cyprus will be spent outdoors, villa Julieann has all of the facilities associated with such a lifestyle. The focal point is a 10X4 kidney-shaped pool, surrounded by sun-loungers. There is a dining table and 6 chairs located underneath a shaded pergola and separate, more-intimate patio sets on the balconies. A barbecue completes the outdoor-living essentials. The stone-walled garden is planted with fragrant roses and honeysuckle as well as many Cypriot native plants. Surrounding the villa are vineyards and orchards containing almond, olive and citrus trees. Spectacular views abound from the property with both sea and mountains visible on all but the murkiest of days. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: All bedlinen and towelling is included except for pool/beach towels. There is a weekly linen/towelling change for multiple week occupancy. Other: A separate office adjoins the lounge. This has broadband coverage for those who feel the need to keep up to date with emails from the office. We have recently installed a modern wood burning stove for those cooler winter evenings.
