Both properties have easy access to the private residents gardens with swimming pools, tennis court, football/basket ball pitch,sun bathing,sun shades and showers,gym equipment and seasonal poolside cafe bar, entrance is only a few meters from the apartment with secure gated and key entry. The spectacular views will take your breath away, the snowy peaks of the Sierra Nevada mountains down through the foothills of the Alpujarra's to the Mediterranean sea and the lovely town of Salobrena. Should you want a quiet night in there is satellite TV with limited uk channels & a DVD.(Spain & most of Europe no longer receives BBC or ITV television or BBC radio channels,should you wish to view UK or other international TV bring your lap top or tablet and watch your favourites via the internet; filmon.com, we provide a standard size HDMI cable link so that you can plug into the television, you may need an adaptor so check your input size on your device before arrival.)There is a DVD player so bring your favourites.

Both kitchens are fully equipped should you want to dine in. BBQ equipment is provided should you fancy the challenge.

Bedroom 2 has twin single beds, built in wardrobe and large family bathroom, bath with screened shower, wash basin, wc and bidet.One single bedroom The recently renovated kitchen with dining bar offers plenty of worktop and cupboard space, electric fan oven, gas hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer and microwave/grill. Everything you need for home dining. Separate utility room with laundry facilities. Spacious living areas plus bedrooms offer fantastic views. Sliding doors open to a covered terrace,sun terrace & the pool.Sun loungers and BBQ provided.The lounge has a large flat screen TV,limited satellite channels,a DVD plus hi-fi system. Leading from the pool area,spiral stairs go to a roof top sun terrace with more spectacular views. Towels and linen are provided but not beach towels. Please bring your own. Wi-Fi available and free of charge.

About the Owner

We came across Salobrena and the Costa Tropical by accident. We were on our honey moon having just been married in Gibraltar in the summer of 2005. We have spent a lot of time in Spain and have found some beautiful areas but none compared to here. Salobrena is still traditionally very Spanish, unlike the other Costa's. We liked it so much we now have a home here. A great climate all year round and plenty to see and do, lazing around on the beaches or hiking about on the mountains where else in the world can you ski in the morning and be having lunch on the beach in the afternoon. Come and try it...we did!

Love the area the people and the climate. Easy access to airports, motorways are new and good and noooo traffic. The Spanish come here for their holidays so it must be good. It is still very traditionally Spanish. The Costa Tropical is still an unknown area to many & is so unlike any of the other Costa's. Who could ask for more?

Special interest holidays:

The surrounding area is renowned for it's spectacular walks and cycling routes, famous walking routes throughout the Alpujarras and it's villages right up through to the Sierras and Granada. Horse trekking routes are also available.


Monte de los Almendros rises just above the beaches at La Caleta and Salobrena,the walk down is quite pleasant and would take 15/20 minutes to the village. The walk back up would take longer and not for the faint hearted ! We would recommend hiring a car for ease of access to the town and it's beaches. Salobrena has a number of good chiringitos dotted along the beach and the town also boasts several good restaurants and cafes.


The Costa Tropical is easily accessed from Airports at Malaga (now less than 1 hr) and Granada (50 mins). Almeria is approx 1.5 hrs drive. To enjoy all that the Costa tropical and surrounding area has to offer, we recommend that you hire a car.


There is so much to see and do around this area, the towns of Salobrena, Almunecar and Motril are still very traditionally Spanish, very different to the other costas. They are steeped in Moorish history and probably the finest example of this is the Alhambra Palace at Granada just a short drive away, there are organised excursions and a regular bus service. Granada is a fine city with good shops and restaurants, well worth making a day of it.

Further Details:

From the apartment and villa to the local supermarket where there is good parking, will take a drive of 4/5 minutes, where you can stock up on local delicacies and fantastic wines. There are some nice shops and the local municipal market stocks local fish and meat,fruit and veg'.There are many banks and cash points. Shops do close at 2pm for siesta and re-open between 4.30 and 5pm. The larger supermarkets stay open throughout the day until late in the evening. Wander around the old town of Salobrena and it's narrow winding streets that lead up to the castle where you can enjoy spectacular views for miles around.

A non-returnable deposit of 50% is required upon booking the remaining balance can be cash on arrival or payment made to our nominated bank account 8 weeks prior to arrival. Details will be given over the phone or by email. For late or last minute bookings cash on arrival will be accepted. It is advisable to obtain personal travel insurance as the management cannot be held responsible for accidents or injury that may occur on the premises. You will be asked to sign a disclaimer on arrival.

Changeover Day:
Change over days are flexible dependent on bookings. The apartment and villa should be vacated by 10am, however we are flexible on this if we don't have other guests arriving on the same day.

Apartment pricing is for 2 persons sharing 1 bedroom,per week,add £50 for 3/4 people sharing the property.Mini breaks are available for a minimum stay of 3 nights at £45 per night for 2 people,£80 for 4 people Both properties are available for long term rentals,good discounts apply.Payments in Euro accepted.Security/breakages deposit of £100(apt)£200 villa,payment made at time of booking,returned after your departure,subject to any breakages.Late arrival fees apply €25after20:00€35after22:0COA.

Security key access only (given on arrival) so completely safe for families with children.   • Notes on accommodation: The apartment and villa are available all year round,weekly basis or long term rentals, please contact owners for discounted rates & availability. Both properties can be booked as separate units or will accommodate a large family or group holidaying together.The apartment has wall panel heating in the winter also a gas fire. Fans are provided for summer months.The villa has central heating and also a lovely wood burner for cosy nights in. We welcome families and well behaved pets (no more than 2 non barking dogs and by prior arrangement). Toddlers and children must be supervised in the gardens,the terraces and particularly around the pool area. This is totally the parents responsibility. Outside: The villa has a private pool and terrace at the same level as the living areas plus a roof top terrace. Sun loungers chairs and outdoor dining furniture plus barbecue are provided. The pool has a retractable telescopic cover which can easily slide open and shut, this is for the safety of young children, it's use is totally at the discretion of the parents. Windows at either end can be locked so parents can feel totally secure knowing their children cannot access the pool without adult supervision. Children and pool safety are paramount. The apartment has a terraced garden, there is an area for sitting/eating outdoors.Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided.(Private pool is for villa guests only, however 2 pools are available right next door in the private residents garden) Young children must always be supervised by an adult in the outdoor areas.
