Ideal for those seeking an active or leisurely holiday, there is a unique on-site spa with 2 outdoor swimming pools making this an ideal location all year. For the energetic there is a gym area. To relax and unwind you have exclusive use of the indoor heated pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, water jet circuit. Set amongst beautiful landscaped gardens with water features, there are tennis and paddle ball courts and a children's playground. The apartment is less than 5 minutes drive from the fantastic 7 mile beach of Vera Playa and a superb water park. Located within 10-15 minutes drive are 4 golf courses. Ideal for golfers seeking cheaper and less-crowded courses. This largely undiscovered coast of Spain enjoys 320 days of sunshine a year.

Special interest holidays:

There are some excellent scuba diving and snorkelling areas along the coast of Almeria. There is a go-karting track outside Garrucha less than 10 minutes drive away. There are horse riding stables nearby in Mojacar. In the summer there is bike hire locally (the area is generally flat and ideal for cycling). The apartment is available for short breaks (minimum 3 days) and for long stay lets at appropriate prices.

Coast/Beach:

Just 5 minutes car drive away is Vera Playa with miles of golden sand which is ideal for all. A small part of the beach is a naturist area. There are many other excellent beaches just a short drive away in San Juan, Garrucha and five miles of Mojacar Playa. Beaches have lifeguards and beach bars in the summer. There are fantastic fish restaurants in Garrucha and an abundance of bars and restaurants in Mojacar to suit all. The landscape is easy on the eye-only 3 storey building allowed.

Travel:

Almeria airport is 45 minutes. Murcia airport is 90 minutes. Alicante airport is 2 hours. All routes are mainly motorway. Car hire is recommended to appreciate the surrounding areas. For those used to driving on congested roads, driving in Almeria can be a completely different experience.

There is also a regular local hourly bus service which goes in one direction towards the country town of Vera and in the other direction, through Garrucha, to Mojacar beach.

Distances:

A new bar restaurant 3 minutes drive. Vera Playa with bars, restaurants, Aqua Park, supermarket is less than 5 minutes drive. The historic town of Vera with shops, restaurants, tapas bars, market, and bull ring is 10 minutes by car. The busy fishing port of Garrucha with its beach, marina, promenade and fish restaurants is 10 minutes by car. Mojacar strip with water sports, bars, shops and restaurants is 15 minutes away. The Pueblo, the historic hilltop village is 15 minutes away.

Further Details:

The nearest bar restaurant and mini market is within ten minutes walking distance (3 minutes drive). Local shops, restaurants and bars are at Vera Playa, less than 5 minutes drive away. There is a good supermarket catering for all your needs. It stocks a wide range of fresh fish, and meat and deli products.

If you drive minutes in the other direction, towards the town of Vera, you will reach a development where there is another supermarket. There is also a kiosk selling papers, a bar and a restaurant close by.

Booking Notes:
25% deposit for the booking with the remaining balance to be paid six weeks prior to arrival. Late bookings less than 6 weeks before, the total is payable on booking. A security deposit of £100 taken at the time of rental and returned on departure (subject to no breakages). There is 10 euros surcharge for 'meet and greet' after 8pm and Sundays, payable to the keyholder. Cancellation and refunds. Up to 6 weeks- no cancellation charge. 4-6 weeks 50% of rate refunded. 2-4 weeks 25% of rate refunded. Less than 2 weeks-no refund.

Changeover Day:
Changeover day is flexible wherever possible. We try to arrange for the apartment to be available to fit in with flight arrivals and departures, rather than fixed times. However, at certain times the apartment may need to be vacated by 10 am.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund for cancellations more than 7 days before check-in date.
  • 100% refund for cancellations more than 14 days before check-in date.

  • Notes on accommodation: Ground floor apartment with private garden and underground parking. The complex is fully enclosed with security gate/intercom entrance, safe and ideal for families with children. It is possible to hire a cot, highchair and pushchair at the complex, subject to availability. There is hot and cold air conditioning. There are also two free-standing fans and a fan heater. Al Andalus Thalassa received the Best Urbanisation in Almeria award at the Spanish Property Awards in 2006. Outside: There is a dining table and four chairs on the terrace. There are 2 sun loungers which can be used on the patio.There is a selection of herbs in the flower beds -rosemary, thyme, mint, parsley, marjoram - which are ideal for cooking. Because the nearest pool is located on the other side of our apartment block, pool noise is minimal even though it is only two minutes walk away. Both pools are large with shallow and deep areas and separate paddling pools. All pool areas are fenced in and open May to October. These pools are supervised by lifeguards. The indoor pool is heated. The indoor pool and spa is open all year round 7.30 am until 9.30pm. Cleaning / Towels / Linen / Maid service: Price includes 'meet and greet' with our English keyholder, cleaning, all utilities, bath towels and bed linen (not beach towels). Extra cleans, towels and bed linen and welcome packages can be organised on request at additional cost.
